A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

CHARACTER
Name:
Remiel. Also called Ramiel and Jeremiel in some places, by humanity. The Compassion of God, the Angel of Music, the Mercy of God, the Angel of Hope, the Thunder of God, etc. On Earth he goes by the name Sherwin Nemo (or occasionally Remy), because Angels and Fallen are terrible about laying low and having non-ridiculous names. It's something he's grudgingly come to embrace. Originally this trait was to discourage Angels from going to Earth too often, but now, after so many have Fallen, it's just made things more difficult for them and become a bit of a joke.

Age:
His human form appears to be in his early thirties. He's actually slightly older than the universe itself.

Appearance:
His human form is well-built, though the most strenuous activity he ever seems to do is gardening. Six foot even, caucasian, with middle-brown hair and light brown eyes. Remiel has a friendly, open face that is usually bearing a pleasant smile or a relaxed grin. His hair is shortish, but manages to be incredibly messy all the same; Remiel usually looks like he just rolled out of bed, despite never sleeping. He wears t-shirts and shorts, for the most part, as well as worn sandals, but occasionally he chooses to wear business casual if he's bearing a message or something likewise official. (All of his t-shirts are music-related: bands, brands, or orchestras. Or sometimes musicals.) His skin is completely unmarred of scars or other such marks. The only thing he bears is calluses on his fingers, from playing musical instruments, and dirt under his fingernails. He has a warm, low voice, and he's very good at singing with it; his normal way of speaking is as relaxed as the rest of him. Remiel isn't much of a fan of standing up unless he has to, and is usually found slouched against something, sitting down, or laying down.

This is, of course, his human form. His true form is metaphysical and particularly giant, as an archangel. Not being containable on a world normally, he, like all Angels, Fallen and Demons, can "scrunch" himself into a human form. Remiel is one of two archangels (the other being his brother Azrael) who can tolerate being so small for a long amount of time. Remiel has been in this particular human form for fifty years. Because it has not aged, though he could if he wanted, he tries to make friends sparingly and away from his home base of Concord, Massachusetts. Ultimately, though, he prefers not to think about his human form.

Generally speaking, the older the angel, the more terrifying the true form and the less likely that the human brain can process it. If a human is likely to see one, they'll just be knocked unconscious by the horror of it. And Remiel is the seventh angel created. In the words of his older sister Sariel, "He'd knock someone's metaphysical socks off, at best. At worst, their brains would melt and then explode." "Metaphysically?" "No."

Remiel does possess wings — four of them, which resemble those of a barn owl. It's possible for a sufficiently powerful creature to see them, though he normally keeps them well hidden from ordinary human sight. Manifesting them is a sign of trust in an individual. Or requires the knowledge that they won't freak out on him about it. He often has them out, when he's alone and knows that he is. They're very large wings, which are another reason they're kept firmly tucked away in the presence of others (in a pocket dimension sort of way).

CHARACTER
Name: Akira Inugami
Canon: Wolf Guy
Age: 15-16
Timeline: After the ending, when Akira wakes up in the Phoenix Organ facility.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality: Akira has the same tumultuous personal problems that happen to any teenager coming into his own. You just have to add on the fact that he's also a werewolf. It's hard enough to be a teenager and feel like you're all alone in the world, but Akira is literally one of the only remaining werewolves on the planet. He really IS all alone. That crushing loneliness and desperation consumes a pretty large part of Akira's entire psychological landscape. He ruminates quite frequently on the fact that he's pretty much the last of his kind, and if more are out there he has no way of finding or connecting with them.

Akira's early life was spent hanging around his mother for most of the day. Since they were two anomalies that any government would love to get their hands on, Akira's human father used his family's connections to always keep them hidden away. No matter where they went, he made sure that they were kept from the public, always staying in wild locales to keep them close to nature. Akira and his mother forged a very strong bond as a result of this, as most of their company during the daily schedule was with one another, while Akira's father was out working. As a result of her presence in his life, all of Akira's memories of her are light and airy. She has an almost holy significance in his mind, whenever he thinks back on her. These feelings affect his present day as well, considering his natural affinity for "motherly" types of women.

Akira has a negative view on life in general, but even more so where humanity is concerned. He starts the story with the opinion that most humans are terrible people to the core, barely covered by a veneer of civility. Self-serving, greedy, violent, and obsessed with maintaining their own status. A plague of vermin that's done nothing but dirty their own nest. To be fair, most of his interactions with them have certain reinforced this opinion. Humans took Akira's mother and killed his father, then shot him full of holes and left him to die. He was just six at the time. Even after his rescue, he still grew up with a distinctly unnatural aura about him, and that tended to put people off when he re-entered society. Every time he went to a new school, it was only a matter of time before he was getting harassed and attacked by the local toughs. Something about him triggered old, forgotten human instincts, which marked him as distinctly "other". People were put off by him, but they didn't know why they were put off. They only knew that he didn't belong with them. This pattern only escalated as Akira matured, and the older his foes got, the more brutal and creative they became. It's a wonder that he even grew up as well-adjusted as he is.

Since Akira eventually decided that the world was going to be against him no matter what, at some point he just stopped even trying to make peace with it. If the world hated him, he was going to hate the world right back. If he couldn't avoid trouble, then he might as well invite it in. Akira became foul-mouthed, trollish, and is generally unpleasant when forced to deal with people that he doesn't like. It's all a defense mechanism, a way of protecting his inner self from harm. All of his human interactions ended badly, so why would he even give people a chance to work their way past his defenses? It basically became a self-fulfilling prophecy. Mock them before they can mock you. It led to him becoming quite adept at verbal sparring, using his more subtle abilities to pick up on people's weaknesses and use those against them. If things ever got physical, Akira never even gave them the satisfaction of a fight. He would just let them wail on him until they were tired, only to get back up completely unharmed. Proving his superiority without even raising a fist.

Another reason he pushes others away is to protect them. See, Akira was told his entire life that he's cursed. That he was born under a malicious star and that he could only bring pain and suffering to those around him. Look at the evidence. His mother and father were taken as a boy. He was shot near to death and left to fend for himself in the wild. The medium who said he was cursed died when a plane crashed into her home shortly after Akira's visit. Humans have attacked him for most of his life. His enemies target any people close him, just to get at Akira. With a life like that, who wouldn't believe they were cursed? The farther Akira pushes others away from him, the safer they are. At least in his opinion.

That's the core of Akira, right there. The part that shines the most, after all the pride, self-loathing, distrust, and negativity is stripped away. For all his negative traits, the fact of that matter is that Akira doesn't want to hurt innocent people. He dislikes most humans, but he doesn't want to harm them, and as he develops in the manga he recognizes that more and more of them are worth protecting. Akira doesn't want innocent people to get caught up in his tumultuous fate, or maimed by someone who just doesn't like Akira, but can't get at him any other way. Despite how much he claims he "doesn't like to get involved" with people, he's the first to jump into the fray when terrible shit goes down. He was able to just leave when Haguro's lackey shot up the school assembly, but instead he jumped into the flames head-first, saving students and brutally killing the assailant. He gave his blood to Chiba, despite the two barely knowing one another. He went through absolute Hell to save his teacher, Akiko Aoshika, from a terrible fate, nearly losing his own life in the process. For all his talk to the contrary, Akira has a good, loving heart.

Background:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/WolfGuyWolfenCrest (Akira Inugami section)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf_Guy

Strengths/Weaknesses: Physicality aside, Akira is a scholastic achiever. Despite the fact the barely pays attention at school and constantly gets in trouble, he has perfect grades. He's very studious when he wants to be, and has a special interest in mythology. It's pragmatic. What better way to research his people's origins, than by checking the folklore of other nations?

Akira's big mouth can be a problem for him, though. When faced with someone who really gets his goat, no matter how dangerous they are, he has a lot of trouble keeping his gob shut. He tends to offend others without regard for the possible consequences, and that's bitten him in the ass on more than one occasion.

His yearning for having a place to belong is also an easily exploited weakness. As told to his teacher, "stop dispensing hope to that boy like a spider's thread. He'll cling to it, if it's from a woman like you." Though his trust is hard to gain, once you have his loyalty it becomes a potent weakness, and allows him to be manipulated rather easily.

Abilities: Since all of Akira's abilities stem from his status as a werewolf, they vary in strength along with the lunar cycle. For the best example, his powers will be laid out as if the moon is in the fullest phase.

Superior Physical Abilities - Akira can move damned fast. Faster than the human eye can process, when he really puts effort into it. He was able to slip through an entire cadre of reporters who were out to interview him, even when they had their sights right on him. He can leap several stories high, shrug off impacts from vehicles, stabbings, gunshots, burn damage, bludgeonings, and long drops as if they're nothing. He has enough strength to cripple or kill a man with a well-placed blow, or snap a limb with a sharp gesture of his arm. His bones and body tissues are durable enough to take tremendous physical stress without major injury, and lesser melee weapons tend to break on his body after extended use.

Heightened Senses - He was once able to eaves-drop on a conversation inside a hospital room, despite being across the street and on the roof of another building, with the moon in a lesser phase. When he concentrates he can detect heartbeats and breathing, depending on his proximity to his target. Akira was able to figure out who attacked a friend of his just from the scent of the man's sweat on his friend's body. His night and long-distance vision is like-wise greatly enhanced.

High Pain Threshold - Akira shows very little reaction to most kinds of physical trauma when his power is on the upswing. Unfortunately, he becomes more attuned to it as his power wanes.

Transformation - Like any good werewolf, Akira can change form. This is only allowable during the Full Moon and a day or two on either side of it. In his transformed state, all of his physical parameters are raised up a notch, making him a bit more dangerous. He does, however, maintain his rational mind.

First Person:

[The scruffy-haired, golden-eyed young man on screen looks just a wee bit perturbed now.]

Look, I'm gonna' be perfectly honest here. I appreciate you guys fixin' me up and all. I like havin' both arms very much. Really, I do! That's very nice of you all.

Problem is? I wanna' go home. I don't care how. I don't care who I have to talk to or threaten. Hell, I don't even care why you bastards took me here in the first place. This was actually kinda' nice at the beginning, since it gave me time to clear my head and get my body back in order, but now I'm just gettin' pretty fuckin' pissed. As matter of fact, I think I went well past "pissed" the first time I got dropped in the catacombs.

One of you assholes has to be in charge around here. Send me back home, damn it! Send me back to Japan! I'm sick of bein' trapped here, you hear me! Somebody give me some damned answers!

Third Person:

"Akiko!" Akira yelled, bolting upright on his bench. He was breathing hard and sweating like a panicked beast. For a moment he thought that he'd have to fight again, like every other time he'd been woken up by the men in the lab suits. It was a constant cycle where they had him held. Painful awakening, intrusive tests, and gassing back to sleep. He reflexively went to grasp at the stump that was his arm...only to find it was not a stump at all. His arm was there.

"...The fuck?" he said aloud, turning in surprise and seeing his body whole again, "I...how did..."

Had the full moon come? Did its power reach him down here? Did that mean that he could finally escape this place? His mind was so shocked from the revelations of being whole again, that he failed completely to notice that he wasn't even in the facility. Not anywhere near it. He was alone, in his hospital gown, and on a moving train.

"...Alright, if this is some kinda' fucked up dream, I'm gonna' be really mad."

He reached out to a holding pole, flexing his arm and warping the metal. His strength was working. Still a bit wobbly, he got to his feet, standing up tall just as the train stopped. Unfortunately, the sudden stop sent him right down, smashing against the next pole.

"Assholes!" he yelled, hopping to his feet, "At least let me adjust!"

He sniffed the air and attuned his senses as he left the cart. No other people got off the train. Hell, no other people even in the station, if his senses weren't lying to him. How lovely, somebody was treating him like a VIP. They even healed him up. Problem was, he had no idea where the hell the train had dropped him off. This was just another test, for all he knew. He wandered on bare feet, confused.

"Hello?" he called out, "Yo, anyone here? This ain't funny, you know. I'm not exactly in the mood to play games with people, right now. Come out and explain this to me. Who are you? Why am I here? How did I get out of that lab?"

He almost missed the device that fell from his lab-gown, reacting just in time to catch it. The small, metal object was turned over in his hands several times.

"...What's this, some kinda' media-phone? Pretty weirdly-shaped model. Looks like it hooks up to a message board of some kind. Guess it couldn't hurt to figure it out. Maybe one of these yahoos can help me..."

CHARACTER
Name: The Batter
Canon: OFF
Age: Unknown. He appears…as an adult? Possibly in his twenties.
Timeline: Right before the final battle. The end is still up to you after all.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: n/a

Personality: The Batter is a pragmatic individual who insists that he, as well as you—his puppeteer—are on a mission of purification that you must see through to the final end. While his use of language does indicate he holds some level of intelligence, the Batter chooses his words carefully, measuring and dispensing them as if he only has precious few to give. As such, he comes off as blunt, when really he would consider himself focused on his holy duty. It’s with this straightforward nature that he regards almost everything. Despite the fact that he must fight the “burnt” Elsen residents of all the Zones he purifies throughout OFF, he insists that he is only “purifying” them and fulfilling his mission. There is nothing but his duty. And as the game classes him in the status menu…the Batter is a Purifier.

Along with this bluntness he displays is a very serious demeanor. The Batter never once smiles throughout the game—not that he has much to smile about, let’s be real—nor does he show any inclination towards positive emotion even when he’s doing his “job” and purifying the zones. In fact, his sprite shows that he’s got his head tilted back slightly, eyes closed, and depending on interpretation, his brows could be drawn over his eyes in a condescending manner, with the twist of the lips to match. It certainly goes along with the way he regards everyone. The Batter really doesn’t take anyone’s shit lying down, and pretty much does his own thing, even convincing the Elsens in Damien rather forcefully to let him purify the mines.

He doesn’t show much remorse either, not in killing the “misguided” Dedan or the puffed up Japhet. Not Enoch, or even the burnt Elsens. Quite noticeably, he’s taken part in at least two battles where the opponents did not fight back. One was in Zone 3, with the Elsen crying for help and unable to attack otherwise, and against Hugo, which depending on translation, could be considered either his son or his creator. Or both, which is also accepted, and I kind of like that one so I’ll run with it. Oh those crazy French to English translations!

Background: Very little is actually known about the Batter’s history, but what can be inferred is available here

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths:
-He’s good in a fight.
-Especially a fight with a bat.
-He’s loyal to most causes that have to do with the eradication of spirits.
-Can sense spectral or otherwise inhuman beings.
-Is very intelligent.
-Has the ability to alter his form. (this is a bit of headcanon at work. I’ll explain it in abilities more.)

Weaknesses:
-Stubborn and does what he thinks is right.
-He has a bat and he’s not afraid to use it.
-Has the mentality of kill first, ask questions later when it comes to eradicating spirits, occasionally.
-Condescending nature with zero fucks to power his brain-mouth filter.
-He’s somewhat self-serving.
-Blunt and hard to converse with.
-Cannot swim. Thank goodness for Pedalos, right?

Abilities: The Batter is, as a Purifier/Savior, able to use his bat in order to harm spectral creatures, and in turn can also use what are known as “competences” in OFF. Competences are just acquired skills. Since he is a well-rounded individual, the Batter is able to use both attack and healing competences, though he has no status-affecting ones. In RC, these competences will be utilized in much the same way as they are in OFF. That is, he will use his energy devoted to competence use (CP) in order to activate them, and will drain his vitality with each usage.

In addition to his competences, when severely angered or backed into a corner, the Batter has the ability to shift his form. He is not human, so this isn’t completely unexpected. When he allows this and shifts into the “Bad Batter” form, he becomes somewhat larger, with grotesquely elongated hands and clawed fingers, while his head takes on the shape of a crocodilian creature, all sharp teeth and pure white eyes. He retains humanlike ears, and is still wearing his baseball uniform, along with the cap. The form is just…well, pertaining to anything but what he was before. The Bad Batter ((SPOILERS)) is the form of the Batter that the player sees should they choose the alternate ending in which they side with the Judge and elect to stop the Batter from “completing his holy mission” as he so sees it.

The Batter’s form in truth is difficult to discern, as he is imbued with the ability to shift from this monstrous creature to the form that the player sees through 99% of the game. My headcanon is that his uniformed, baseball player self is a visage which he created by imitation. LEADING INTO ANOTHER HEADCANON…the Batter’s imitation is somewhat imperfect, and where he would have eyeblack…he actually has another set of eyes. Yes. The Batter has four eyes. The second set below his primary eyes are usually shut, or else if he has both sets open they’re hidden by the brim of his baseball cap. But when visible, they appear bright and red, and somehow natural to his face. Go figure. Note, this is my headcanon. It’s just how I like it. And also note that in his Bad Batter state, he has only one set of eyes. The second pair of eyes is an error, and one he doesn’t feel the need to correct anymore, because he’s used to the four eyes in his usual body.

First Person: [This isn’t what the Batter is expecting now that he’s dispatched the Queen. What he expected was to dispense the same judgment upon a less frightful foe. This train is not part of his plan. And he’s not sure he likes it. But this is what his puppeteer wants, and he cannot delay it, correct?

Sigh. This is tiresome.

Rising from his seat on the train, he exits slowly. Cleated shoes tap quietly against the floor , and he peers around with a pointed lack of care written on his pale white face. Literally white face. Not just caucausian, but white. His bat is held loosely at his side, and he’s very aware that his add-ons are not currently at his side. How troublesome.

But speaking of add-ons, he does realize that he has an extra bit of weight in his pocket. Reaching his free hand into said pocket, he tugs the watch out, dangling it in front of his face by the chain. It spins idly in front of him, the face of it broadcasting his surroundings and features as it pans rapidly.]

What is this? What is going on? Tell me what Zone I am in. I am not finished.

Third Person: The Batter knew his puppeteer was not the one who should be trusted to sort these puzzles out. He’d been walked back and forth more than a few times already, rereading and reiterating the pieces to a riddle he’d long ago solved just by being observant. But then, if he didn’t let the player figure it out, what would they ever learn in the end?

Trick question, if he thought about it. They weren’t learning anything at all. Not about him, about his life, the Queen, the Guardians, or even the child. Hmm…the child…none of that really did matter to the player. What mattered was that the Batter got to the end of it all. The end of this mad scramble would yield the ultimate prize.

He frowned as he realized that there were specters nearby. No…not just specters. There was an Elsen among them. Oh, he hated fighting the burnt. Not out of any sort of regret, but out of annoyance. They were stronger than the usual ghosts, and pricked the conscience of his “master.”

But they would not run too often. And especially not from battles that mattered. He would not allow it. That much was under his control.

CHARACTER
Name: Astharoshe Asran
Canon: Trinity Blood
Age: Unknown (Appears to be in her 20s or 30s)
Timeline: Just after Abel and Esther leave the Empire after returning with Ion Fortuna
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality: Upon first meeting, Asthe can come off as an elitist bitch, she is nobility after all. She used to believe that humans were nothing more than savages, but that changed once she met Father Abel Nightroad and worked with him while hunting down a murderer. She still doesn't think too highly of humans, but her opinion has changed greatly.

She doesn't take any kind of crap from anyone and isn't afraid to fight for what she believes in. She has a bit of a short temper and fighting skills and strength to back up her words. She hates being called a Vampire, it is considered an insult in the Empire where she grew up. Her kind may be vampiric in nature, but she will never refer to herself as one. Asthe has a lot of pride, making it hard for her to accept help from others. It usually takes some hard convincing to get her to accept help, but eventually she will cave.

Her loyalty is unmatched. She will do anything for her Empress, even if that means giving up her own life. She will also do anything that she can to help protect her friends. Father Abel Nightroad holds a special place in her heart. He is her Tovarish, a beloved friend to whom she will do anything for, but that doesn't stop her from hitting him if she believes that he deserves it. She isn't without her softer side. Once you get to know her, she's cares a lot for the people around her, even if she expresses it in a rather rough way.

Background: (This history is a mixture of both anime and manga information for Trinity Blood. Asthe is one of the more minor characters of the series and not a lot is known about her)

Astharoshe Asran, known as Asthe, lived a pretty normal life in the New Human Empire. That is, normal enough for Methuselah nobility. Growing up she had a very close relationship with her mother, the Viscountess of Odessa. Four years ago, The Viscountess of Odessa died unexpectedly, causing Asthe so much grief that most of her long red hair turned white. After her mother died, Asthe inherited the title of Viscountess of Odessa and shortly after that, she gained the title Duchess of Kiev.

A year after the death of her mother, Asthe lost one of her friends. Countess Len Yearnoshe was murdered by Endre Kourza who then fled the Empire. Since Endre fled the Empire, someone had to go 'Outside' and find him and make sure that he was either brought back or executed for his crimes. Since she had never been 'Outside' before, Asthe had no idea how to deal with humans. Asthe is partnered with Father Abel Nightroad, a member of the Vatican AX Agency.

Since she grew up in the New Human Empire, Asthe cared little for humans. She believed that they were lesser creatures compared to Methuselah, the vampire-like citizens of the New Human Empire. She and Abel have to travel by night (like vampires, Methuselah burn in sunlight) to follow any leads that they have on Endre. Finally, they locate him and consumed by rage, Asthe attacks, destroying the Rialto Bridge, killing and injuring many innocent bystanders as well as Abel.

Regretting her actions, Asthe does her best to keep control of her emotions the next time they go after Endre. The next time they find him, Asthe is able to keep her rage under control and kill Endre with the help of Abel. Before she leaves to go back to the Empire, she allows Abel to call her Tovarish, which is a very special term for Methuselah. Only very select people can call each other Tovarish.

Three years after her first mission 'Outside', Asthe has gained a lot more political control within the Empire and is given yet another special assignment. She is to keep another Methuselah along with two Vatican messengers alive, even if it costs her her own life. Upon returning to her manor, she finds out who the Vatican messengers are. Able Nightroad and Esther Blanchett are waiting along with Ion Fortuna, the Earl of Memphis (another Methuselah). After making sure they are comfortable, she learns that Ion's grandmother, Mirka was murdered and he was framed for it.

The next day, Asthe and Abel go to the Palace of Stars in order to gather more information. While there, they meet the Duke of Tigris, Suleyman. It is not until later, while visiting Suleyman's manor, that they discover the true plan and are nearly killed.

During their attempt to return to the palace, Asthe and Able are stopped by Death Hunters, puppets created by the Rosenkreuz Orden (A group of powerful terrorists out to create a 'New World Order'), but they fight through them and make it back inside so that she could accuse Suleyman of being a traitor.

Before she can do anything about it, Empress Augusta Vradica appears, surprising everyone since it was believed that she had been assassinated in a bombing at a funeral the night before. While attempting to kill the Empress again, Asthe kills Suleyman. However, things aren't finished yet.

Another Methuselah, Radu Barvon, the Baron of Luxor, had gone to a secret location in order to do something with an unknown computer system, but had been stopped by Abel. It turns out that Radu was not himself, but rather a living corpse being controlled by another member of the Rozenkreuz Orden. Enraged by what had happened, Asthe attacks, but is knocked unconscious by the flames that Radu can control.

Since she was knocked out, Asthe doesn't know how the battle was won, but is glad that her friends and Empress are alive. Shortly after the fight, Asthe cuts her hair because it was burned during the fight with Radu.

Strengths/Weaknesses: One of Asthe's biggest weaknesses is her pride. She has a hard time asking for help, even in a fight that she knows that she'll lose. She's also got a very short temper, and will jump into fights if she feels insulted enough. Even though she's loyal as can be, that loyalty can get her in trouble. She will risk her life to protect those she cares for without a second thought. She also has a bad habit of taking her anger out on Abel Nightroad or anyone around her when she gets mad.

Physically, Asthe can't go out in sunlight unless she's covered by many layers of clothing if she's outside of the Empire. The sun burns her skin and will lead to a very slow and painful death. She also needs blood to survive, but she uses synthetic blood pills created by scientists in the Empire. She can eat normal food.

Also, unlike other mythical vampires, crosses, holy water, and scripture do not work against her. It is believed that Methuselah don't have souls, so holy things don't work against them.

Abilities: Being a Methuselah, Asthe is physically stronger and faster than normal humans. She can easily lift a man and throw him without much thought. She's also a skilled fighter with a staff. She carries the Spear of Gae Bolge, a staff that can create an ionized xenon gas blade to cut through just about anything. She doesn't have any other abilities like some of the other Methuselah.

First Person: [The audio feed starts without the user really knowing what's going on. She's just kind of looking the device over and poking at the buttons.]

This is such an odd device. Its nothing like what we have in the Empire...[There's a slight pause.]

Hello? [She's unsure if she can be heard or not. Its hard to tell with this thing.] I demand to know where I am. This is not the destination I was supposed to arrive at. [There's some mild swearing in another language before she takes a deep breath.]

I do not know how I made it outside of the Empire, but I have. This shouldn't be possible on the train that I was on. It never left the Empire's borders. Is there any way to get a message outside of the city? I must let the Duchess of Moldova know what has happened and find a place to stay while the sun is up. [Travel was always a pain for her outside of the Capital when the sun was up. She really didn't want a slow death. There is some mild swearing for a moment before the speaker continues.]

I have to find a way back into the Empire. There has to be a map of the area somewhere within the city. If I can find one then I can find my way back into the Empire. [She's talking to herself now, making some plans so that she can get out of here as fast as possible as the feed cuts out.]

Third Person: Asthe didn't look a lot like herself as she stood in one of the darker areas of the platform with the hood of her traveling cloak pulled up. This wasn't the destination that she was headed for. The Duchess of Moldova had invited her out to one of her other estates outside of the Empire's capital and this was supposed to be the mid-point of her journey. It was a long trip, but one that was taken a lot easier on a train than any other form of transport. The architecture was nothing like she had seen before. It certainly wasn't like anything else in the Empire.

There was also a strange device in her hand that she had never seen before. Curious, she looked at it. She could hear voices, but how did it work? It wasn't like anything she had seen before in the Empire. Who had given it to her and why? She needed information and a way to get a message back to the Imperial Capital and probably the Vatican as well. Maybe Abel or Esther would be able to help her out of this. She doubted that Ion Fortuna, the Earl of Memphis would be able to help her with this kind of technology. He had hardly been outside of the Empire and certainly didn't have the experience that she did.

She took a deep breath to calm herself, almost unable to control the rage that was starting to build at both herself and some unknown person who might have been able to get her on the wrong train or somehow move her to another train partway through her trip. There was no use in getting angry right now, especially when there was no one around for her to take her anger out on. The last thing that she wanted was to harm a human. The Empire was working hard to try and find peace with the humans on the Outside, she didn't want to do anything that might jeopardize that.
