So, for over 100 chapters in the story, Ritsuka and the reader are led to believe that his personality did a 180 flip from a C-average student who was sweet, open, friendly and deeply dependent on his mother to an A-average student who became distant, anti-social, and even a little cynical.
However! Around chapters 112-119 we find out from Ritsuka's mother that he's actually ALWAYS been an anti-social, distant child which leaves the reader and Ritsuka wondering why his mother keeps insisting that he's so different. Uuunfortunately, we still have no answers on whether or not this is true since his mother is an unreliable source but Ritsuka takes it to be true.
If you have any further query's I would be happy to answer them.
If you would like! I have an entire history section written out with his personality interlaced if you prefer to see how he develops as the story progresses.
