With the death of his father and brothers and betrayal of his family four years behind him, Ezio can be rather slow to trust unless proven otherwise. This can be seen as he is willing to accept Paola’s trust after she kept his mother and sister safe, but he is more wary of Rosa and Antonio in Venezia/Venice. Who could blame him though? Ezio was wanted dead by the Templars, and knew they would take underhanded means to get rid of him and with so few people he knew wouldn’t sell him out to the Templars, being quick trust was too risky for him.
He is also still impulsive at times, ready to take action quickly rather than think things through. To Ezio, there is a lot at stake – which would be true, there is the fate of humanity – and he thinks one should waste no time in finding whatever Rodrigo and Borgia were trying to hide (which he would find out later from the collected Codex Pages translated by Leonardo is the Piece of Eden/The Apple). Most of the time he can be talked into thinking things through, into slowing down and taking a look at a bigger picture than just becoming a man of action and going gung-ho into the cities.
Despite the number of years behind him since the execution of his family, Ezio can still be considered a little bit of a flirter. It’s not as prominent as it was when he was a teenager, before his life was turned upside down, but he can be seen giving winks or making suggestive innuendos to attractive women he interacts with. While his heart still longs for Cristina, but the assassin knows she is out of reach for him and he is not seen really flirting to take someone courting as he is just to do it. It’s almost like a game to Ezio, to see if he still has some of his old charm that he often used in Firenze/Florence.
To add to the flirty nature of the somewhat has-been playboy, Ezio can be a little bit cocky when dealing with an opponent. He doesn’t find it beneath him to taunt others, considering it to be part of the game, part of the fight, and most of it in good fun – at least for him.
