[CANON] Mr. Gold (Rumpelstiltskin) || Once Upon a Time || Reserve || 3 of 3

First Person:

[As the video starts, a smart-looking man in a suit sits in front of the camera, smiling - some might notice, a little menacingly -, hands resting on the cane in front of him.]

I will spare you all the common routine of asking where I am. As some of you may wonder, my name is Mr. Gold, and I do realise I am in, ah... [He waves the pamphlet for a moment before throwing it over the table dismissively.] Ruby City. Whoever thought that pamphlet was of help, they were wrong; however, I now at least know the names of those seemingly responsible. [He grips the cane tighter, and leans over closer.] My question is: how can I contact them? Surely there is a way.

I would also like to know if any of you has heard of or seen anyone from Storybrooke, or Fairytale Land. Amongst others, I look for a woman named Belle, and another named Emma. [His smile widens once again, and he knits his eyebrows and the root of his nose together as he says] Please.

Third Person:

Just gotten out of the train, Gold was looking about. The fact that he didn't know where he was made his mind jump to the conclusion that this was a curse, but he would have felt the kind of magic if such were true. That was not the case - there was magic here, but it was unlike anything he's ever felt. There was always a possibility that he was kidnapped. Since, during the 28 year old curse, he never really forgot who he was in the first place, who knows what would happen if he were to be taken away from Storybrooke? Perhaps he would not have his memory erased. However, he wondered with amusement who would dare try and take him.

The city was quaint, and yet not that different from Storybrooke. He could say he was not unused to such a place. He looked over to the limits of the city - he could see the forest and the mountains from where he stood - and he wondered if the same sort of barrier existed as in Storybrooke. There was certainly a barrier, he could tell that much.

As he made his way out of the train station, he caught his reflection in a window. The clean-cut man stared back at him, dressed in a black suit and cane in hand. Obviously, wherever he was, he was not back to his former appearance as The Dark One. The corner of his mouth quirked upwards slightly before he resumed his path. At least this much was good; people were initially not as threatened when he looked... in lack of a better word, normal. It would make it easier for him to find answers.

He knew what to do now: he had to find if anyone else from Storybrooke was here. They all had this lovely habit of gathering close and play the heroics, try and find a way back home - Gold muses that 'home' isn't actually home, for even there they were attempting to return to Fairytale Land - so if they were here, he would be wise to stay close to them.

He yanked one of the pamphlets out of the wall as he walked down the street, giving it a once-over. He snickered. "Ruby City?" Original. He shoved the mangled piece of paper in his pocket. As calm as he looked, he felt like breaking out some magic was in order at the moment. A basic spell to try and learn where he, or anyone else, was - or perhaps something more aggressive, should there be the need.
