Nico has also shown signs of being self-reliant, being the first to approach Euphoria about learning to dance, and seems to be treated as being capable by Dr. Ginger. Not that he isn’t concerned about her conditions, but he doesn’t look to treat her like a teacup. She’s expected to be able to at least stand on her own in some regards. (IE, holding down a job and finding ways to occupy her free time).

That’s not to say she doesn’t have faults. Nico seems uncomfortable when faced with close physical contact, hugging in particular. It takes her a few moments to get used to standing properly when starting a lesson with the leader of Euphoria, Jackie, and she seems resistant to fully accept that she’s in the wrong. (He tells her to stop giving him “a look”, before moving on to how to count before starting), which demonstrates her stubbornness. Nico realizes she's in the wrong and continues to study; but her resistance and stubborn streak could easily be used against her.
