Jake Muller on Resident Evil Wikia: RE Wikia

Brief summary: (Contains spoilers to the game’s plot)

Jake was born in Edonia, though he was conceived in the U.S. His mother fell ill while he was young. Though she tried, she couldn’t support him when her illness progressed, so he found himself supporting her instead. Not long after he became a mercenary, hoping to bring in enough money to actually help his mother, she succumbed to the illness. He took the loss of his mother very hard, but grew up with the thought that money was important, even though it didn’t really matter anymore.

From then on, he continued as a soldier of fortune until meeting Sherry Birkin, a US Agent sent to locate him for his unique anti-bodies. His blood was the key to a preventative cure for the Chrysalid Virus. When he found this out, he insisted on a fifty million dollar compensation price for one pint of his blood, to which Sherry agreed. They fought their way through infected J’avo in Edonia only to be captured by Carla and held in a facility in China for six months. There they discovered similar J’avo and finally escaped. They encountered many Raccoon City survivors on their trek, including Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Ada Wong.

It turns out Carla used Jake’s anti-bodies to enhance the C-Virus while he was being held in the facility in China. They continued to fight through China, at first, to meet with Derek Simmons at the extraction point, only to learn that it was Derek himself that caused most of this mess with the C-Virus to begin with. After being captured a second time, they are aided in their escape unknowingly by Chris and Piers. They finally destroy the BOW that has been following them since Edonia and make their escape. Jake lowers his asking price from fifty million dollars to a mere fifty dollars and goes about his business as a man for hire. He is last seen in the game helping out a young middle-eastern boy who has hired him to get rid of a hand full of Napad BOWs for the asking price of a single apple.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Jake’s strengths would include his speed and physical strength, his intensity and martial arts. Some weaknesses would be his hotheadedness along with his overconfidence. He’s intelligent, but he doesn’t often use his brain before he acts. He shoots his mouth off, which can be considered a weakness. He seems to have the natural ability to lead, though has issues taking orders. His immunity to viruses could be considered a strength.

Abilities:
Jake is highly trained in hand to hand combat with immense strength in his attacks, which tend to resemble his father’s to a frightening degree, despite having never met the man. He’s capable of picking up and learning languages quickly, taking no time at all to learn to speak and read them fluently. He possesses unique antibodies in his blood, a trait passed on from his father. It’s this very trait that renders him immune to the C-Virus. As a mercenary, he is skilled in the use of many different weapons, though he seems to prefer unarmed hand to hand combat. He demonstrated a remarkable talent for playing the piano, performing a small piece of Chopin’s work with ease.
