APPLICATIONS
✗ Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
✗ IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.
In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.
3/6
He loathes being disrespected, reacting violently when forced into perverted situations, or when he loses control of the situation, and generally prefers to keep to himself within their mind. He's disdainful, could probably be described as being somewhat apathetic until more recently in the series. The only time he really shows an honest interest in being around another person is when Kaito is there, attacking the ones who hurt him and then allowing him to hold him close once the battle is seemingly over. When it comes to others, if it's not an enemy or they prove to be less than useful, he appears to deem them unimportant and not worth his time. For example, Lind saved Yayoi and complimented her, then a few pages later brushes her off when she's in danger, saying that there are 'four billion others just like her', implying that she's replaceable. Akito has described Lind as being so much more heartless than everyone, and having such a cool and calm decisiveness that it is surprising.
Of the three current personalities that make up the Wanijima son, Lind is the oldest. He is Prototype #00 - the first attempt at a 'Brain Charge', and is the original Thorn Queen. He doesn't really work in conjuction with Akito or Agito, keeping to himself as well as keeping important information from them unless it's prudent that they be informed. Lind does look out for them in his own way such as loaning his strength to Agito in a particularly difficult fight, or take the place of both of them if it's apparent that they won't win. In some ways, his treatment of Akito and Agito could be described as 'motherly' - being proud when Agito finds the strength to force him back into their mind, trying to guide them and give advice, and coming out to protect their body in difficult fights - which makes Lind's memories being that of their mother's much less surprising. (A more simple way to phrase it is that Lind is the mental clone of Gazelle. Information on the Brain Charger product can be found here).
It was revealed in chapter 301 and 302 that not only is Lind actually Gazelle, but he holds all of her memories as well - presumably including her feelings for Kaito in some way, as is evident in how he works so hard to protect him. (Compilation of pages indicating Lind is Gazelle and holds all of the memories: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Compared to her upbeat and more Akito-esque personality as Gazelle, in her life as Lind she has become much more cold and serious, resembling her lover. Lind comes across as a more learned Gazelle; he knows what the world is like now, and it's made him have a slightly more cynical view on things, or perhaps he is just a Gazelle that is lacking her 'heart', which is entirely possible. Because of Kaito's influence on his life as well as the courage their sons have shown in battle, he isn't afraid to fight and use his wings like he was as Gazelle, though the stress he puts on their body is immense. To spare their body weak body from the stress, Lind used up almost all of his own energy.
Lind is a master of the Thorn Road, but as Gazelle could never master the Fang. It was through Akito and Agito's efforts to better themselves and perfect the Fang (ref: 1) in new and more powerful ways that allows Lind to use the attack now, melding it together with his own Thorn Road to create devastatingly powerful attacks. Despite having slept for the initial years of Akito and Agito's lives, Lind is connected to them very strongly, and considers their 'Fang' the ability that connects them even further.
(I am including Lind because he is a defined personality and is therefore important to the character, but it is important to note that he rarely ever comes out, and thus the rest of the application will be focusing on Akito and Agito, as they will be the ones I will be roleplaying 99% of the time)
Akito and Agito are very co-dependent: Akito relies on Agito for his fighting ability, having lost his own skills years ago, and Agito relies on Akito for support, added strength in a pinch, as well as to notice crucial things in a fight that he might miss. While Agito is found in control of their body almost constantly in recent chapters, it is only because they are almost constantly training, in battle, or at risk of being attacked. Akito is fine with this overall, since it helps Kogarasumaru, and he knows that if he needs or wants to say something that he will be able to be heard. Lind seems to be perfectly happy with sitting back and watching the other two personalities grow and develop, though he'll step in when it seems like they can't handle a situation. Unlike Akito and Agito, he will forcefully take over if he feels like it, though this rarely happens.
Akito and Agito are always together in their mind, staying close to one another while Lind stays farther away, and are always in close mental contact. They are each other's closest companion - the one person the other could never live without. Lind has become closer with them in recent times, sharing his power with Agito and giving advice to them when he can, and Agito has grown fond of him to a point that he'll do kind and affectionate things for him (such as giving him a Fang to ride on in their mind so he could return to his area) from behind his gruff exterior.
LEGENDSNET History
Akito, Agito, and Lind spent approximately three months in the region of Sinnoh on a Pokémon trainer journey. They worked in Eterna City's bicycle shop for ten days before continuing on their journey. They made it to Snowpoint City when they were stolen away by the gods of Thusia.
Their time in Sinnoh was spent focused entirely on raising and training their Pokémon friends while searching for the way home. They made no CR that they can remember since they were traveling at a faster pace than everyone else in the game.
Due to the lack of constant human companionship, Akito and Agito both became more introverted and uncomfortable around people. They became much more in-tune with animals in general since they were exposed almost exclusively to Pokémon for the duration of their time in Sinnoh.
Their Pokémon team at the time of their kidnapping to Thusia was:
Flareon
Furret
Wigglytuff
Swellow
Gloom
Lopunny
Misdreavus
Ponyta
Scyther
Altaira
Togekiss
Upon arrival to Thusia the only items they had on them were their clothes, including their A-T, and their Flareon.
THUSIA History
In contrast to their time in Sinnoh, their time in Thusia was spent surrounded by people almost 24/7. To survive they needed to hunt with others. Their days consisted of going out training and hunting in order to get both food and items to trade the gods for other necessities (such as animal bones for clothes, etc.)
They ran into 'alternate' versions of people they knew from home, and were an 'alternate' version of the Akito and Agito that the characters from a game called Sabra la Tau knew. This upset them greatly - Akito especially - as they felt as though their existence was a disappointment to others, including a Minami Itsuki alternate that was there.
Just as they were starting to get over this, something happened and Agito went missing from Akito's mind. The rest of Akito's time in Thusia was spent training himself to learn how to fight again, as well as become more independent in order to be able to find Agito.
Akito continued having issues as more 'alternate' versions of his friends from home began showing up. He strictly classified them as 'not his', though continued to try and tentatively build friendships. Most of these failed, as none of the alternates understood why Akito continued insisting that he wasn't 'theirs' and vice versa.
He did make close friends with an OC named Aella. She pushed him to become more independent and less emotional. While she never meant for him to try and stop 'feeling' altogether, Akito did his best to do so, interpreting what she said as meaning that emotions made him pathetic.
He grew to consider her as an older sister, and would go out of his way to help her and make her happy. Anything he did that wasn't related to finding Agito was generally done to make Aella proud, or make her happy - such as throwing her a festival based off of one her people had at home.
Eventually Akito forged closer bonds with the gods of Thusia than the people, to the point where he agreed to become a 'Challenger' - a priest to the god Ur'ghaste - in exchange for a female hip structure (for less recoil damage from his fighting style), and a prehensile tail (for a fun distraction). This helped him open up to people even more, as he improved with his fighting style and began feeling more confident in himself.
Finally, a week or so before leaving Thusia, Noyamano Ringo - a friend from his world and universe - arrived. Akito clung to her, ecstatic to have someone who could validate his existence, and helped her adjust to life in Thusia. Without foolish love rivalries to get in the way they ended up forging a closer bond than they had back home, though the necessity of sharing a bed and fighting together to merely survive also played a big part in that.
If permitted to come in with his past history, I would have Akito only vaguely remember the idea of 'doubles' (like an old, half-forgotten dream), and the only people he would remember with any clarity would be the OCs, the Gods, and Ringo.
I was thinking that on his final journey to search for Agito, Akito actually succeeded and upon 'waking up' on the train to Ruby City they would find themselves reunited.
