APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS

Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

[CANON] THOR ODINSON || Marvel || Reserved || 3 of 3

[personal profile] worldsaway 2012-08-04 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
First Person: [Thor is sort of getting the hang of this communicative device. Though it is a little small for his tastes, it's not the most complicated thing to figure out. Certainly not the hardest thing he's ever had to deal with. There's a brief, warm sort of smile as he greets the feed with a nod but it's quick to fade into a more serious expression. Thor may be a friendly sort of guy, but he knows when to get down to business.]

So, it's been made fact that we cannot escape from our...creative prison. [He flourishes a hand toward the background of the feed.]

However, that does not mean we cannot work together in some fashion. Even if we cannot promise an escape, perhaps it would be wise to consider a means of taking care of each other. I've knowledge that my midgardian comrades are among the captured here, however, I am curious as to whether there are heroes of other realms residing alongside us. Make yourself known to me, and we can become allies.

That being said, I am willing to believe even the most wretched of evil doers have begun to shine in such dark times. [He smiles, just a little as he continues onward, giving the feed a knowing look.] Now is not the time for revenge, now is the time to put the past behind us and work together. Regardless of our wrong doings. That is..if you are willing. [It seems as if that is directed at one person in particular, but he continues to make it a public announcement.]

Third Person: Thor is no stranger to foreign realms. He's ventured from Jötunheimr to Álfheimr in his conquests and travels. However, no realm had ever befuddled and bewildered him in the manner that Midgard had. The inhabitants, though not particularly striking in appearance (the silks they wore were another matter entirely) were curious in their actions. Hailing from a realm of Godly warriors in which he was paid the respect he deserved, the casual tone the mortals took to him always rendered him speechless.

However, in the strangest way, their dialect was endearing. While Thor struggled to talk down to the allies he respected, he had always tried to pick up new words. Never afraid to ask questions, he was begining to catch on to the culture of Midgard. He found the answers to his questions deeply rewarding, for mortals had always seemed so pathetic and low from afar, now that he had walked among them he had come to appreciate both the simplicity and the innovativeness of their creations.

A small, rectangular pastry. Who new the wonders such a small package could hold? Thor had never tasted such a sweetness in all of his years of eating. Popped tarts, as he believed they were referred to, are an expression of the mortal's ability to create their own magic with such unrefined skill.

Though a part of him yearned to reveal the secrets of Midgardian inventions to his fellow warriors of Asgard, he did not want curious and hungry travellers to flock to the realm under his protection. He has learnt the consequences of such actions. Of course, if he had managed to bring back a single box, surely Volstagg would take it from him. A pity.

He sighs and drapes his arms over the ledge of his window, gazing over his eternal priority, Asgard. He knows full well there are things far more important than sweets that cause him to yearn to visit the realm of Midgard again.
