A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

CHARACTER
Name: Bela Talbot
Canon: Supernatural
Timeline: 3.12 (Jus in Bello)
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality:

Bela is sarcastic, witty and can come off as quite cold when you first meet her. Always wanting to get one up on people, she uses her charm to flatter them and massage their ego so she can get what she wants. Fiercely independent, she has always relied on herself to get by and this is mostly driven by her occupation. She is confident and outgoing when it comes to social events, but doesn't seek to be the centre of attention. Bela likes to manipulate people to achieve her goals, not caring about the consequences of her actions. Pride is important to Bela, she would never normally ask someone for help unless it was an emergency. She also hates being indebted to people and likes to settle a score either through payment or information. If you're on her side, she'll treat you well; cross her, and you're asking for trouble.

She is quite intelligent and has a solid knowledge of the supernatural world, which is very important in her line of work. She shows a keen interest in anything to do with the arts or history, which also made her choose her career path; she is also very articulate and scholarly, having a great love for literature. Bela likes money as it fulfils the lifestyle that she leads and would do almost anything to get it. She is very elegant in her mannerisms and the way that she carries herself in front of others, maintaining a polite persona when it is required.

Not only is Bela a thief, she is a con artist: easily slipping into different roles and aliases, using this tactic for when she is on a job for a client. Using her charm and wit to lull people into a false sense of security is something that she likes to do if needed. Bela is not above using her beauty or seduction skills to complete a task; she understands that it is a method that can have quite effective results. She has even played the 'damsel in distress' card, faking a swoon in order to obtain a particularly valuable item. Essentially, Bela uses all the tools and skills that she has to achieve her goals, even if she wouldn't like some of her actions at times.

However, there is a quiet and vulnerable side to Bela that most people don't get to see because she doesn't like to show it; she finds it hard to let others in. Due to what happened to her as a child, Bela doesn't trust people easily and has trouble building up relationships. She has built walls around herself and maintains a front to deceive people, afraid to show her true nature. This would explain why she abandoned her original name and life; Bela Talbot is this persona that she has created to hide behind. When she was Abby, she never got the love she craved from her parents. They abused her and this played an important part in shaping who she was.

She seems to substitute money for love, always wanting to acquire luxuries and drive around in her upmarket car. There is not much known about Bela's love life or how she views sexual relationships. However, she's not afraid to use her wiles or her forwardness to achieve what she wants.

Her encounters with the Winchesters are certainly interesting; little by little it unveils some more of her personality and how she views the world. They can't believe that she would exploit her knowledge of the supernatural world to gain money and she doesn't share a very favourable view on hunters, telling them: "Come on! You do this out of vengeance and obsession. You're a stone's throw from being a serial killer." She is willing to sell people out if it saved her own skin and she did this once to the Winchesters, when she told Gordon Walker (a hunter driven to kill Sam) their location. Bela even went as far to call the FBI on the brothers as a way of leading them off her trail after she stole the Colt from them. There isn't a limit to what Bela would do to survive; she was willing to kill Sam to get out of her deal.

CHARACTER
Name: Godot (Diego Armando)
Canon: Ace Attorney
Timeline: Post-canon
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality: Godot is most easily described as a man of contradictions; both fiery in personality and temper yet cool in presentation and reception, he is simultaneously dedicated and laid back, serious and wry. It can be a bit much to take in at once, and he is described variably as a 'hot shot,' a 'mysterious man,' or just plain 'smug.' Each contains varying levels of truth, and he denies none of them. On first impression, Godot is a charming, suave, slightly sarcastic man. He exudes confidence and competence, and seems as comfortable with himself as is humanly possible; anyone who talks to him for any length of time, however, will find him not only snarky and idly self-deprecating but focused, dedicated--and possessed of a strange and unrelenting intensity. Despite his nonchalance when presented with difficulty, Godot is an obsessive, a man with a spark in his mind and a fire in his heart--a fire that has been dampened with 'age' and smothered by time, but a fire that smoulders deeply nonetheless, and his tired acceptance of his pending death has done only so much towards disguising it.

Death is a recurring theme for Godot; as a lawyer, of course, it is inevitable that death should enter the picture, but then a suspect witness slipped poison into his cup of coffee without his knowledge, and... well. He drank it. The damage to his body and central nervous system was devastating, and though they were eventually able to "bring him back from the dead," he was permanently altered by its effect. He lay in a coma for five long years. When he woke, he learned that Mia, the woman he loved, had been brutally murdered one year ago--and he himself would not live long without constant medical maintenance and supervision. His vision was completely ruined; the combination of poison and oxygen deprivation to the brain had left his optic nerves and visual cortex heavily afflicted. The visor he wears corrects this for the most part, although the colour red renders as white. Still, without it, he is completely blind.

Godot's sanity has been questioned more than once, and it's very possible that the poison, coma, and time in between affected his brain in more ways than one. Emotionally, Godot is not exactly volatile--in fact, with very few exceptions, Godot seems to have very few strong feelings at all; perhaps this is why he is so unflappable, so fearless, and--ultimately--so unmoved by the things that shock and touch the people around him. According to him, such things have been seared out of him by the depths and fires of hell or have atrophied during his five long years in a coma, and he makes no claim to great emotional capacity; in fact, it's quite the opposite--in canon, Godot has occasionally made claims of being unable to feel at all. This is hyperbole, however--Godot is demonstrably capable of both anger and love. His anger is easier for him to face: it burns, low and hot and bitter, and he can seethe with it... or, without warning, manifest a rage so violent, sudden, and rare that its outburst can silence an entire courtroom.

CHARACTER
Name: Haku
Canon: Naruto
Timeline: After his death

Personality: There are very few things more painful than living an existence that is both meaningless and unwanted. It is a feeling that Haku knows intimately. His country was tainted with war, breeding fear and hatred of those with bloodline abilities. Those emotions tore his happy family apart and forced him to kill. He became a little boy alone in the world, hyperaware of his own undesirable existence. This is where his complex in having a purpose originated, and where he began conflating the ideas that a life worth living was only a life lived for another’s sake.

Starving, cold, and alone he was given the option of being wanted in his entirety. Even at a young age Haku was aware just how onesided the relationship he signed himself up for was, but still gladly became a tool so long as he could continue a life that was wanted. Though he believes his master to have no feelings toward him he is still deeply invested in Zabuza’s happiness and his dreams, to the point that all of Haku’s dreams revolve around the other man’s. Vicariously, he takes his purpose from someone else entirely, and when he is no longer of use to that person he feels as if his purpose is stolen from him. He accepts, and even enjoys his status as a tool, following Zabuza with the kind of loving devotion that can’t be bought.

When working he is nearly the perfect shinobi, able to be cold and calculating within battle and kill when it is required of him even if it isn’t the most pleasurable option. He is the perfect weapon, worrying enough about his life to not step blindly into a fight, but at the same time willing to throw it away at a moment’s notice in order to protect his master. Haku serves as a weapon, shield, and strategist, entirely capable of acting of his own accord to fulfill his master’s needs. Being so fine-tuned to Zabuza’s needs is something he takes particular pride in.

Outside of battle the cold façade fades away and leaves nothing but a soft-spoken young boy. His kind heart often steps in the way of his duties, making it impossible for him to kill as readily as most other seasoned shinobi. This is because harming others goes against his kind nature. Each death leaves wounds on his heart, each one bared for the sake of servitude. For this reason, Haku avoids killing whenever possible, preferring to incapacitate his foes by placing them into death-like states whenever possible. Even when given an enemy in a venerable state he could not bring himself to hurt them, and instead woke them gently so that they would no longer be sleeping outside. Even in anger he works toward causing the least amount of harm, possible.

While unquestioning in his devotion he is not blindly obedient or subservient, and will go against orders for his own reasons so long as they don’t conflict with his master’s plans. He will even stop Zabuza’s actions when he believes that they are harmful to the long-term goal. Being comfortable enough in his master’s company, he is able to address him with a casual attitude and act in Zabuza’s best interest without fear of reprimand.

A gentle and eager young boy, it’s unfortunate that he died feeling that his purpose had been robbed from him.

CHARACTER
Name: Sona Buvelle
Canon: League of Legends
Timeline: Post the 31st Journal of Justice / Right after Swain is promoted to Grand General

Personality:

Beautiful and graceful, Sona Buvelle is a force to be reckoned with despite what first impressions may imply. Being mute and an orphan, the first few years of her life were hardly the easiest. Despite the conditions that she grew up in, Sona was and always will be quiet and mannered.

Although she can communicate telepathically with her Summoners, the musician is unable to speak to other Champions and normal people. For example, when her League Judgment took place and an illusion of her adoptive mother portrayed the woman dying, she attempted to scream even though she knows that she is mute.

Despite her handicap, the young musician is portrayed as a force to be reckoned with. She took it upon herself to master the etwahl. (The etwahl is a magical instrument that she uses to channel magic!) Over time she became more and more powerful of her own accord, eventual to the point where she became a Champion. In the world of Runeterra, Champions are considered the cream of the crop as far as warriors go--human and non-human alike.

Although during the Judgement she did cry due to her adoptive mother's death, once the League opened its doors to her she left without a second glance. Although she may break down when she feels great sorrow, Sona can be very quick to pick herself right back up.

Sona is more than capable of killing, she mainly uses her magic for healing. She enjoys helping others, especially when it comes to aiding allies on the battlefield. However, despite her manners and outward kindness, Sona is also known to possess a bit of a mischievous side. At one point she joins a band called Pentakill, which consisted of her and a few of her undead friends. Even though she appears to be sweet and innocent, Sona has a taste for the occult and certainly doesn't mind getting a bit of blood on her hands.

Despite her grace and willingness to help others, the Maven is certainly a lonely woman. Isolation is something the Maven is very familiar with. Music is a catharsis for Sona and without it she very well knows that, as a person, she would mean nothing to the world. Although she can play any tune to perfection, there is still one thing that Sona desperately wants: friendship.

CHARACTER
Character Name: Thorin Oakenshield
Canon: The Hobbit
Age: Around 150
Timeline: Just after the eagles land at Beorn's Rock.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality:

Thorin is a natural leader by nature, born the grandson of Thror, King Under The Mountain and ruler of Erebor. After the dragon attack, he and his grandfather led their kin to Ered Luin, somewhere safe. The need to reclaim what is rightfully his and his kin's is what drives Thorin into finding and reclaiming Erebor. He has the map and key on his person and would protect both with his life if need be. Being a dwarf, he has the same want and greed for gold and treasure. It is a racial trait seen in many a dwarf and Thorin cannot hide the greed which lies inside of him.Becoming king would do his grandfather's honour gratitude. He yearns for peace and somewhere for his kin to live once more, after being forced out into exile. It has been too long for him and his heart yearns for that more than anything.

Thorin harbours a chip on his shoulder towards both dragons and elves. When King Thranduil abandoned his kin and the dragon Smaug attacked, Thorin's hope of finding an ally within the elves diminished. He never trusted another elf after that incident. His hatred towards anything Elven makes him rather bitter when the subject is raised by one of his kin or the wizard, Gandalf. He is battle-hardened and narrow-minded at times due to his nature and all that he has lost. He can make brash decisions at times, believing that attack would be best over defence; but not at the price of losing any of his kin. He has seen death, and seeing his grandfather beheaded by Azog the Defiler makes Thorin come across as very bitter. He would sacrifice himself to save another if he could.

Becoming Oakenshield at a young age, he is no stranger to facing opponents far stronger than himself. He is incredibly brave by nature because of what he had to face during his younger years as a prince of Erebor. Standing up his enemies, has made him a tough man inside. Yet, the emotions still well up inside if someone mentions those events of his life. Protecting his kin is something that is very strong in Thorin due to his loss. Kili and Fili, his nephews, are prized dearly within his heart and he would fight to the death to protect them above all else. Protecting the line of Durin and being a good uncle is something Thorin strives to be. He is caring dwarf and values his family members and his own kin above everything else. Loyalty and honour is something he prides himself in.

Thorin is proud of his dwarven heritage and often mentions Durin by name in conversation. Either using it in curse or praising Durin's folk. Thorin enjoys a good song by the fire with his kin and also a drop of ale. You can find the softer, gentler side of him while he is in song by a roaring fire and recanting the tales of old. His love for music and song makes him a pleasant fellow to be around on and off the battlefield.

Thorin does have manners but can be brash when speaking. He does tolerate those who are above him but just barely. His stubborn nature somewhat causes him to be rude at times; especially, towards Gandalf and Lord Elrond. He does not mean to come across as rude, but protecting the map and Erebor against others who would wish it for themselves, makes Thorin defensive overall. He can come across as a commanding and rather intimidating presence, especially towards Bilbo. He often uses his superiority to win through situations and command the company on their journey. Courageous and honourable above all else, Thorin can be majestic in how he handles matters, whether it be in battle or travelling, he always looks out for his own and protects them above all else. He can have a foul temper and sometimes can make rash decisions concerning their quest- as he has a fixed mind set on what to believe in.

History: Here is a good reference: http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Thorin_II_Oakenshield

Strengths/Weaknesses:

One of Thorin's strengths is his ability to lead. His majestic demeanour may help with this, as he leads the company during the quest to the Lonely Mountain. He has a good, strong voice and demeanour to lead thirteen dwarves and a hobbit towards their goal. His status also grants him the ability to order others in tasks or certain situations. Thorin is a an accomplished warrior. Being trained at a young age, he can defend himself and others against most threats set against him. He uses his sword and axe and has a good, fighting arm.

Thorin is a skilled blacksmith. We glimpse a scene of him beating a hammer against a sword during the film. He is no doubt crafting a sword, using his strength and skill to fashion the blade. He knows how to pick out a valuable mineral as dwarves are born into knowing different ores and stones. This is part of his dwarven heritage.

Being a dwarf, Thorin can withstand heavy loads and extreme weather conditions. Walking up a mountain with a heavy pack on his back does not hinder him in any way.

Thorin's weakness may be his stubbornness. He can be cankerous and show great contempt to elves especially. Old memories cause him to shrink somewhat into himself and harbour grudges long past. These may affect the journey and any future relations with elves. The gold sickness suffered by his grandfather may also have rubbed off onto Thorin. Dwarves adore gold. It is in their blood, so naturally Thorin will be drawn to any gold object. Whether, it be coin or jewellery, Thorin may become susceptible to the gold sickness.

Abilities:

Thorin is skilled with both blade and axe. Both he uses in battle against his foes. His dwarven sword, "Deathless" he uses to hack the arm off the Pale Orc, Azog during the battle of Azanulbizar. A quick thinker in battle, Thorin is good with strategy and can think where he enemy will strike next and delivering the killing blow.

He wears his signature Durin battle armour, which he wore since the beginning when he sat by his father and grandfather at Erebor. The plate armour can protect him from most blows from axe or sword. Although, it is not impenetrable as he was wounded by Warg and Orc attack in the past. It deflects most arrows but a deadly shot could pass through the plates, injuring him.

Thorin is a natural leader. Accompanying the thirteen dwarves and Bilbo Baggins, the hobbit on their journey. He can make decisions and give orders when needed. Commanding an army during the attack by Smaug, he was but a young prince in charge of a whole battalion of dwarven soldiers. Never giving in, Thorin's honour and his family ties keep him firmly fixed on reclaiming Erebor. No matter what the cost. His loyalty towards his kin never dwindles as he'd protect his company with his life. He gained some of that leadership by helping his grandfather while living up in the Blue Mountains. Helping his exiled kin, he soon found use of protecting those whom he cared most for.

Thorin can speak the language of Westron, which is spoken by Men and also Khuzdul, the ancient Dwarvish language. This can help aid Thorin and his company of their quest if the need arises to speak in those tongues. Adapt with music, Thorin also plays the harp. He can also sing with his fellow dwarves, often participating in song along the road.

His sense of family resides deeply in him, making him a strong ally in battle. He protects his nephews Fili and Kili with honouring his sister's words to keep them both safe. If anything or anyone attacked his nephews, he'd turn into the battle-hardened warrior and use his berserker rage to defend his kin until the last. A good skill to have in battle is one that carries emotion behind it.

Relationships to Canon Characters: N/A

First Person:

[What in Durin's name is going on? He is aboard some kind of carriage. It is moving as Thorin goes to stare out of the window. Where is he and what is going on? The train lurches suddenly as he grabs onto one of the door hinges as he curses in Khuzdul. He manages to stay on his feet as he hears the screech of breaks as the train begins to slow.

What was that weight within his tunic pocket? He feels the lump and pulls out a shiny pocket watch. What is this doing here and what does it do? He frowns and wants to know who was responsible for putting him aboard this machine. He walks along the corridor of the train and grumbles under his breath.]

What is going on? I demand to know who did this to me!

[The train jolts to a stop as he feels himself bump against the window of the train. He can feel himself becoming angrier by the moment as he doesn't want to be here. Where is the company? Witchcraft. Is this some elaborate joke?]

I am Thorin Oakenshield. Son of Thror, son of Thrain. I demand an explanation as to what is going on. Where am I and what is this place? [His voice comes out rough and bitter.]

Third Person:

He was not going to back down at he faced his enemy. Azog the Defiler sat but a few paces away from where Thorin clung to the tree. His fingers gripped the bark hard so that his knuckles were white. Staring down this great enemy of dwarves, Thorin released his grip from the bark and unsheathed his mighty blade, Orcrist. The elven blade was still very new as it shined in the dim sunlight. It was nearly sunset as he felt his blood pounding within his ears.

Each step he took closed the gap between him and the huge Orc. It felt like time itself had slowed down. Azog sat atop his Warg, hearing it snarling with a sick pleasure. Thorin showed no such emotion. A grim mask spread over the dwarf king's face as he moved into a charge towards his foe. Sword swinging in his clenched palm, he felt the roar of battle stir within his ears as his blood pounded. This was it. He was going to face Azog the Defiler. The Orc sat and mocked him, he leered evilly at him. Calling his grandfather and father cowards. Thorin would not stand for it as he breached the perimeter of the Orc pack and yelled at the top of his lungs. Behind him, Gandalf, Bilbo and his kin. Would he ever see them again?

It all happened so fast. He saw the Warg's teeth come bared at him as he went to swing his sword at the muscled head. Azog laughed deeply as his Warg bit into Thorin's arm and then wrapped around his torso. Pain seared through every nerve in his body as he felt the Warg's teeth pierce through his armour into his flesh. It felt like knives were digging deep into him. A vice like grip. Thorin went to slice at the Warg but he was thrown into the air and landed with a thump onto a nearby rock. He was bleeding badly. Inside as well as out. He could feel the warm tingle of blood as it seeped into his clothes.

Another Orc loomed over head, his blade ready. The order was given to remove the dwarf's head. His vision blurred as he felt blackness ready to overcome him. This was it. He was about to die. He had failed. Erebor would never be reclaimed now. The dwarf king was about to be beheaded by Azog the Defiler. His breathing shallowed as he felt his beating heart begin to fail. One last look at the hobbit, high up in the tree before everything went black.

CHARACTER
Name: Ky Kiske
Canon: Guilty Gear
Age: 22
Timeline: After Accent Core Plus
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: n/a

Personality: Ky is an extremely devout and upstanding individual. If he believes in something, he believes in it with all his heart. He is a strong believer in God (and, being French, is probably Catholic), and is also a strong believer in the inherent goodness found in humanity. And he will avoid straying from his beliefs at all costs.

However, this also comes with a negative side. Because of Ky's beliefs, he has an extremely rigid view of right and wrong. To him, the entire world is divided into justice and injustice. Ky believes that he is implementing justice, and that justice will always prevail in the end. Ky doesn't take this belief to knight templar extremes, but he does come close.

This has been changing ever since Sol killed Justice, though. Sol's defeat of the Commander Gear -- the same being that had fought Ky's mentor 17 times, each time ending in a draw until Justice finally killed Kliff -- threw his worldview into utter turmoil. Ky could not understand how a man like Sol could do the deed when Kliff, a much greater man in Ky's opinion, could not. From the end of the first Guilty Gear game on until the end of Accent Core Plus, Ky spends time trying to figure out what justice truly is.

In the process, Ky's black-and-white view of the world gradually begins to soften. By the end of Accent Core Plus, he's almost thrown it away entirely. His time spent with Sol and Dizzy has shown Ky that Gears are not inherently evil (Ky recognizes that Sol isn't evil -- just a jackass) and starts working with people he never would have dreamed of working with before. A prime example is Johnny. In his earlier days, Ky never would have worked with a pirate. Now, though, he entrusts the Commander Gear to his care, and is willing to work alongside him to reveal more mysteries of their world, in particular the Post-War Administration Bureau.

That being said, Ky has plenty of other good qualities. For one, you would be hard-pressed to find a more selfless man. If a person is in trouble, Ky will go out of his way to save them, even if there is nothing in it for him. Usually there is, though -- had Ky not subdued Dizzy's wings, the results would have been catastrophic.

Ky is also a hard worker. He sets his eyes on a goal and does not stop until he achieves that goal. The best example of this was the five-year period in between Ky first approaching Kliff and Ky's initiation into the Sacred Order of Holy Knights. He trained like there was no tomorrow, and as a result is in peak physical condition and incredibly skilled with magic (lightning is the most difficult magic to master, yet Ky is capable of using it with minimal difficulty).

Finally, Ky is very intelligent and charismatic. He has a good grasp on the world and its history, and is also intelligent enough to know about his charisma and therefore put it to good use. Talent aside, it was these factors that got him positions as both the leader of the Sacred Order of Holy Knights and captain in the International Police Force. He also uses these gifts to secure a network of political connections. Ky uses his gifts, and he uses them very well.

Background: http://guilty-gear.wikia.com/wiki/Ky_Kiske

Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ Physical fitness. Ky is referred to as being in "peak physical condition" in his Post-War Administration Bureau file, and he shows time and again that he's very fit.
+ Intelligence. Ky is well-educated, a talented strategist, and enjoys classical literature and history.
+ Faith. Guilty Gear portrays Ky's religious faith as an objectively positive influence on his character. He possesses an unwavering belief in God, prays frequently, and uses it as a source of strength.
+/- Passion. Ky is a man with strong feelings. These feelings play into his determination to improve both himself and his world. However, they can make him doggedly persistent in pursuing the wrong things, which gets him into trouble from time to time. This particularly grinds Sol's gears.
+/- Chivalry. This adds to Ky's charisma and the respect he commands from others. However, he will also hold back when fighting against women. He can make exceptions, however, such as I-no or Baiken in her alternate ending.
+/- Charisma. Ky is a person who is very good at earning respect and, in some cases, admiration. This works to his advantage when he has goals. However, should he be manipulated, this can be used to his detriment. It's also gotten him in trouble on its own, such as the time that Jam tried to drug his tea so she could drag him back to her restaurant to attract customers.
- Naivete. Ky is still young and idealistic, which leads him to be naive about certain situations. Prior to Justice's death, he had a very black-and-white view of the world. He's been adjusting, but it's a struggle, and he still has naivete to spare. This also leaves him susceptible to manipulation, as the PWAB report suggests.

Abilities:
- Swordsman. Ky is quite accomplished with the sword, and is a force to be reckoned with it. He also wields Thunderseal, one of the eight Outrage, or weapons designed to fight against Gears.
- Physical fitness. Same as in the Strengths/Weaknesses section.
- Lightning magic. Of the five main types of magic, lightning is widely regarded as the most difficult to use, but Ky also has a natural aptitude for it. Thunderseal further augments its potency. He uses it in conjunction with his swordsmanship.

First Person: http://sacred-thunder.livejournal.com/9884.html

Third Person: The clock struck twelve. Though there were lights every so often, the street was dark and empty, save for one man. Ky slowly walked down the street, hand resting on the pommel of his sword. As per his duty, he would not be turning in for another four hours. Not that he minded -- performing this simple duty gave him a greater feeling of being useful.

The duty was far less eventful for Ky than his duties back home. There, the world was still recovering from a century of war. Ky clenched his teeth as he remembered various events. Arrests to be made, investigations to conduct. People murdered in a myriad of ways, all to some degree motivated by self-survival, some reluctant, others enthusiastic about the job. Ky hated the shades of gray that it produced. At least life in Ruby City was much simpler -- a better population, no murders in the time he had been here, and people willing to work to get what they needed.

But at the same time, it did get lonely at times. Ky had met many people he had grown to like here, and wished he could have a bit of company. He'd even take Johnny's or Axl's company. He occasionally wished that Dizzy were here, as he much preferred her company and she'd be better off in Ruby City than she would be back home. Despite everything, Ky was not a loner, and loved good company.

Ky reached the end of the street and turned left, down another street. This one was just as empty. Thus, Ky continued to trudge onward, left only to his thoughts. At least with him around, things would continue to be quiet.

CHARACTER
Name: Flicker
Canon: Blazing Dragons
Age: roughly 16-18
Timeline: After episode 11, when he befriended Sir Blaze and realizing just how much Sir Loungalot has been taking advantage of him
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality: Flicker is honest, true, and kind. He’s a knight’s knight, except he’s a squire still. He strives to be the paragon of virtue despite his status and the fact that camelhot is a rather silly place. With few exceptions, the young dragon is shown hard at work – whether it’s buffing Loungalot’s armor, doing his quests for him, working on his inventions, or trying to undermine the plans of the Evil Count Geoffrey de Boullion, Oppressor Par Excellence of the Poor and Weak . He is also goal-driven, his lifelong dream is to become a knight of the square table and it doesn’t matter how demeaning his duties as a squire is, or how overbearing the actual knights are – he sticks by the rules of dragon chivalry even if it screws him over – such as refusing to take credit for his own efforts, as ‘dragon knights must always be modest’. Despite the raw deal he always get, and his lack of personal promotion, he takes pride in his hard work and his position within Camelhot.

Even though his number one goal is to become a dragon knight, it doesn’t stop him from having a hobby of inventing. He’s usually seen testing, building, or using advanced inventions. While Flicker is reluctant to show off some of his inventions to the knights knowing that their response would be cold, he becomes extremely animated and talkative when it comes to his inventions, especially when he’s showing it to Flame. Sometimes his zeal for innovation causes him to overlook the matter of safety precautions, but he always means well.

His ideas for his inventions comes from his natural curiosity. Flicker can't simply leave well enough along, if a situation isn't dire, he would often lose his train of thought when something catches his attention and will often ask questions of various levels of profoundness based on his observations - though it often comes off as a non-sequitur to the person he is talking to. He isn't content to know that things work, he wants to know HOW and WHY it works - though given the silly, medieval world he comes from, his theories aren't always accurate.

While he is extremely creative, he is in ways an extremely rigid person - following the code of chivalry to both the spirit and the letter of the law. To him, breaking the code is utterly unthinkable.

Flicker is an eternal optimist, while he is fully aware of the possibility that his career is at a dead end and sometimes express frustration at Loungalot’s unknightly ways, he never gives up the hope of knighthood and always expect the best out of others even when he’s been proven wrong before. On that note, he is steadfastly loyal to the people around him, even if they don’t really deserve it. The idea of betrayal or deception for selfish reasons never even crosses his mind, and he will go to the ends of the earth to help anyone who needs it.

He can be rather oblivious to social cues – commonly missing when Flame very strongly hints at him to propose to her – he is aware of her mutual affection, just not that she doesn’t want to wait - or the fact the purple dragon with the lopsided head is very obviously an evil spy in a bad dragon costume. Though he is observant in other matters, such as realizing someone was unscrewing a chandelier so it’d land on King Allfire.

It seems the more likely it would cause harm to someone, the higher chance there is for Flicker is to notice that something is amiss. He is also able to think on his feet, for example using his paint sprayer to paint Count Geoffrey orange (to resemble a carrot) as so to get rid of the giant rabbit-knight that none of the dragons could harm due to an ill-advised amendment to the code of chivalry.

As a character created by a former member of Monty Python, Flickers has a dim awareness of his medium, making oblique references to the story structure and roles (such as him commenting on how hard it was to wear a dress for an entire episode). However this does not mean he will constantly refer to this fact or outright mention anyone or anything as fictional. It’s easier to say their adventures end up in episodic cycles and they are aware of repeating patterns such as a climatic fight scene near the end.

History: While not much history is given due to the nature of the show. It is easy to assume that Flicker is an only child of a very low-ranking dragon family of another kingdom.

He had always wanted to become a Dragon Knight and answered an advert put out by Sir Loungalot for a squire. While disappointed when he realizes his employer was not only lazy and cowardly, Flicker stayed on despite his misgivings, still certain that someday he will become a knight if he works hard enough. He eventually befriended Queen Griddle’s flamboyant son Sir Blaze, and fell in love with the intelligent and brave Princess Flame. While the feeling is mutual, he never expresses it knowing that he has no chance of gaining Allfire’s or Griddle’s approval while he is still a squire.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

+ Improviser: While he’s not the most book-smart dragon (That would be Sir Burnevere the overly educated), he is one of the two dragons who has the most common sense and the ability to assess his surroundings. He’s usually the first to notice something is amiss, and often comes up with plans to either save the day, or to secure Sir Loungalot’s position as royal toady.

+Inventor: Give him the materials, and Flicker can whip up just about anything, even though he only as a medieval understanding of the world. Among the many things he invented includes a Magic Net (an Electromagnet powered by a tuber), a hair styling machine/automatic milk-shaker, and paint sprayer. While the devices do not always work as intended (such as the stylist machine), they do work in some fashion.

+Hardworker: No matter how difficult or how nasty the work is, he will stick to it until he’s done. While he created shortcuts to make time-consuming chores easier, he won’t shirk from his duties.

-Trusting: Flicker rarely expects devious and underhanded behavior so it often catches him off guard. He always expects someone to act noble and to help, for example him constantly commenting that Loungalot would come free him when he was jailed over a misunderstanding, but the knight never realized he was imprisoned.

+/-Code-bound: Flicker binds himself rigidly to the large and ever-changing Code of Dragon Chivalry, only breaking it if he thinks Princess Flame is in dire danger. Things he is forbidden to do among others thing: impersonate other people/dragons (monsters are apparently okay), fight underhandedly, hurt ‘girls’, refuse to rescue anyone in danger, and must serve someone who saved his life no matter how repulsive they seem, even down to trivial matters as not being allowed to compare a knight unfavorable to an animal, vegetable, or mineral, especially tubers. While this keeps him from fighting dirty and saving himself, it also gives him a strong sense of purpose and a reputation as a trustworthy dragon.

NOTE: due to the sheer SIZE of the code (there's at least 1,000 rules with dozens of subsections and addendums and only 15 is known in series), new rules may be read out for the purpose of comedy or plot-contrived limitations.

-Not a long-term planner: Conversely, as good as he on making things up on the fly, Flicker doesn’t really think too far ahead when it comes to his inventions or his cunning plans. He often does not realize there’s a possible sinister usage of his devices, or just how dangerous they could be until he tests it. He also does not think of a contingency plan if his schemes end up not working, often forcing him to improvise or wait for help.

-Passive: Flicker is modest to a fault, and he is an extremely agreeable person. While these are considered good traits, it often allows characters with more overbearing personalities to bully and take advantage of him, and he very rarely stands up for himself; in fact, he only got angry at Sir Loungealot once in the show’s entire run, and forgave the knights for things that would make other people quit in response.

-Forgets he can fly: as it says, because the dragons of Camelhot generally hate to fly, and most of the necessities are within walking distance, he does forget he has wings when he is under stress, and usually only remembers when he’s completely relaxed or when it’s a matter of fly or die.

Abilities:

+ Can fly when he remembers: height unlimited and he can fly for about two hours unencumbered, while his ability decreases to about ten feet in height and twenty minutes of flight time if carrying half his weight or more.

+ Breathes Fire: he’s a dragon. While he can’t sustained the blast for long, his fire breath can grow hot enough to melt iron (though it leaves him exhausted), or go low enough in temperature to leave humans with singed hair, burnt clothes and no serious burns. While usually under control, he can accidentally let out a blast while sneezing, overwhelmed by a noxious gas, or whenever it’s deemed “Funny”.

+Inventor: Give him the resources; he’ll invent something to solve a situation, whether it’s a powerful magnet or a rudimentary steam engine – if he thinks it’ll help, he’ll make it. Whether it’s actually useful or SAFE to use is another thing entirely.

+Durable: Flicker takes a lot of beatings throughout the series, from having a several ton block landing on him to nearly drowning, he generally can shrug off severe blows though he'll often be dazed and out of it from the impact.

First Person: Blazing Dragons!

[There is only one person in the city with who would say that]

Someone has broken into my house! I knew I should’ve finished that moat before I went to bed… though I’m not sure where one could find crocodiles… Ah! Nevermind about that! Now who would violate the sanctity of a dragon’s home?

But the important thing is; someone has stolen my toolkit. It’s not really valuable, but I would very much like to have it back. Honestly, if you really needed them – you could’ve asked. I would’ve lent them to you.

[He murmurs to himself in disappointment]

I was rather proud of my monk’s key wrench too.

CHARACTER
Name: Epsilon
Canon: Pluto
Age: ??? (Robot)
Timeline: Post-death
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality: Quiet, gentle, and compassionate, Epsilon is not exactly what most people would expect when hearing about "the strongest robot in the world." An ultimate pacifist, Epsilon's incredible power is eclipsed only by his passive temperament and rigid doctrine of nonviolence. His refusal to participate in the 39th Central Asian Conflict was met with condemnation and derision, but he makes no apologies and openly maintains his beliefs about it, even years after the fact. He later declines to fight or even defend himself even after the other six of the "seven most powerful robots in the world" (the other six known robots of mass destruction) have been killed, alongside numerous humans related to certain of the war's events--a list of fatalities that includes his own creator. He simply can't. Whether it's through fear, an actual inability to do so, or an inability to bring himself to do so, Epsilon cannot and will not fight. It is only when the robot attacks the children he raises that he seems able or willing to exercise any force at all, and even then it's completely nonlethal--a single, decisive, nonfatal blow. He would much rather run than fight, 100% of the time.

The strongest robot in the world is a self-professed "coward."

Epsilon is not incapable; far from it. The only robot in the world to utilise photon energy, he could very easily obliterate every organic and nonorganic thing in a vast radius if he so chose, with himself as the epicentre. He simply doesn't. He has no desire to, and in fact abjures any notion of it. In this, his beliefs--and his limitations--are ironclad. But his weakness is also a strength. Instead of being a fighter, Epsilon is a listener, an observer, a mediator, and a caretaker. The guardian of a large collection of children, many of whom were orphaned in the 39th Central Asian Conflict, he prefers to spend his days with them, teaching, playing, and helping them grow. In caring for them, he receives "love," something very precious to him... so much so that he would sacrifice himself for it, or simply endure the world's ire.

Around these children, though, Epsilon is bright, open, even lively--a safe, supporting, nurturing presence with the gentle patience to nurse them through speechless terrors and the honesty and interest to laugh at a funny song or play a game of hide and seek. He's tolerant and understanding with them, but responsible--he may be a robot, but he is their adult, and he exercises this with a quiet authority when it's required. Still, his smile is genuine, and a far cry from the lingering burden he sometimes seems to exibit when in the company of adults or even other robots. Often, his demeanour outside of his interactions with the children could be described as "distant," "aloof," "solemn," "stoic," or occasionally just "sad." This may have more to do with the choices of the world around him than Epsilon himself, however--his gentility and compassion can make others' actions and beliefs hard to bear. He rarely voices anything but simple statements of disapproval, though. As private as he is, Epsilon is often perceived as passive, and could even be considered a stoic in many capacities.

As a robot, however, there is a real gulf between Epsilon and the human "experience." This means he will always lack the full emotional richness that humans have--an emotional 'downtone'--and though it may often aid him, it also separates him.

CHARACTER
Name: Daenerys Targaryen
Canon: Game of Thrones
Age: In the show, approximately 17.
Timeline: Post 3x04: "Dracarys"
.

Personality: It's said that the gods flip a coin every time a Targaryen is born, and the world holds its breath to see if it's going to land on the side of greatness or madness. Daenerys, also known as Dany, is not just a Targaryen, but the last Targaryen, and her coin barely teetered before it fell into her own magnitude. She started out as a pawn, timid and shy, but upon her marriage to Khal Drogo, a leader of a khalasar, a massive group of horselords across the Narrow Sea, Dany began to take the mantle of power like a true queen--a khaleesi. As a Targaryen, Dany was born with a certain sense of pride that could become her downfall--she believes ultimately that she deserves to win the Iron Throne, because her fathers had it first. Being a Targaryen connotes a certain old pride--Dany speaks High Valyrian, and she was, in fact, a product of incest in order to keep their bloodline "pure"--and brave leadership. She came to show her true Targaryen colors as a very capable leader, making decisions and acclimating into the strange culture of the khalasar gracefully. In fact, much of Dany's life is about her rising above obstacles--she was raised by her abusive brother, and went from what basically amounted to being a sex slave to a queen.

When her husband died, Dany took matters into her own hands. In an act of furious desperation, she paid for a witch to try and save his life. The witch tricked her, and she not only lost Khal Drogo, but her unborn son, and Dany didn't take this lightly. Daenerys is a dragon, and this is repeated over and over in the series; her wrath is terrifying and true, and she exacts her vengeance on the witch by literally tying her, alive, into the funeral pyre and setting the whole thing ablaze. Daenerys' temper is notably fierce, a true Targaryen trait and certainly something that doesn't appear at her first polite glance, and her entire rise to her eventual goal, the Iron Throne, is an act of revenge. Her family was unseated by Roberts Rebellion, the current king, and her father and mother were killed, leaving only her and Viserys, the aforementioned brother to live in exile, forever in fear of being killed again. Daenerys was nearly assassinated by King Robert early on in her career as Khaleesi, and despite his death, the attempts have only barely slowed.

After Khal Drogo died, Dany started to lead the khalasar by herself. The loss that she'd suffered did little to discourage her from stopping in her plans--they rarely did. Her brothers death lead to the realization of who was actually the "blood of the dragon"; Khal Drogo's death lead to her ruling her khalasar. She gave a rousing speech that showed off her true character--not just her rage, her passion, her desire for the throne, but her charisma. The people of the khal did not all desert her, despite the fact that she's a female in an absolutely male dominated world. Instead, she promised to lead them to greatness, with the dragons that had been born out of an act of fearlessness, having literally walked into a fire to hatch the three eggs she'd been given at the beginning of her reign as khaleesi.  She promises to raise her khalasar out of what basically amounted to perdition, and eventually, she does; her devotion to them is just as strong as theirs to her, and she's fiercely protective over them as well as her three dragons, almost a mother bear in that aspect. Dany is, however, willing to work with her dragons as bargaining chips--in the point she's being taken from, she just offered up one of her dragons, only to completely trick the man who tried to take them in exchange for his slaves, and not only did Dany get to keep her dragon, but she freed the slaves and murdered the slave traders who treated them like dirt for so long. She's spent so much of her life under her brother's heavy hand that she empathizes with those who suffer, and moments like this--moments of compassion, where she tries to feed water to a dying man or taking a young woman from a slave trader's side because she deserved so much better than how she was treated, are the traits that make her the best contender for the Iron Throne. Where others are ruthless, Daenerys can be kind, but where others are soft, she can strike with "fire and blood", the words of her noble house. Most of all, though, she's able to learn from her mistakes. Everything she did against the magi witch served not only as a harsh display of her temper but as a learning experience, and when one of her closest servants revealed he was originally sent to spy on her, Dany takes no time in dismissing him. She's wary with her trust--those competing for it are many, but those who get it are few. Much of her thinking can be in black and white, as well; those who oppress are bad, and those who don't are good. Part of that is a sense of naivete that comes from being young, and even as she grows into her own as queen, Dany has yet to learn that not everything can be good and bad.

Daenerys' determination is steely to say the least; she doesn't give up on anything, and despite the fact that many of her people were starving, she fought to find them somewhere safe to go.  She shows herself as capable to make her own decisions, a powerful female figure in a world of courtesy and court politics, terror inducing, yet benevolent, kind hearted yet heavy handed.

CHARACTER
Name: The Captain (No canon verified name)
Canon: Hellsing
Age: 100+ Years
Timeline: Post-Death, after his body burned away.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality: Ah, what can be said about the Captain's internal landscape? How much can you really know about a man who says nothing, expresses little facially, and has no information given on his own past by the mangaka? Surprisingly, you can actually glean quite a bit.

First off the bat, the Captain was a death-seeker. Seriously. It's probably his most easy to pin down trait, and the very thing he stuck with Millennium for so long for. The entire reason he joined them. The Captain was looking to find an opponent with a chance of ending his life in a true battle. Humans obviously weren't strong enough to do it. He needed an inhuman opponent, and Alucard refused to fight him the first time they met, preferring to let Walter face him. Thus when Millennium went underground, The Captain went with them, to wait for his next chance. To wait so many decades under the promise of eventual demise says a lot for how badly he was after it. Then there's the matter of his destruction, facilitated by Seras Victoria. The Captain not only gave her the silver necessary to kill him, he gave her time to recover when he could have easily finished her off. Even though Seras caught him in a setup for the final blow, where he could have easily turned to mist to escape, he chose to stay solid long enough for her to kill him. When he finally died, we saw the first true emotion on his face. An honest, relieved smile. Happy to finally be at an end.

The Captain also had somewhat of a sense of honor. When he fought Walter, he only used his half-wolf form when Alucard intervened, to off-set the two-on-one advantage. Though his vampire colleagues killed many civilians, the Captain himself killed none, only seeking out the strongest super-human opponents in the battlefield. When he did end up having to stop Heinkel from interfering in a battle between Alucard and Walter, he chose to simply give her a superficial injury. Then he gave her a medical pack and shook his head, cautioning her to stay out a battle humans couldn't survive before leaving her be. It also ties into his wish for death. If he wanted to die by silver, surely he could have done it at any time. Instead, he chose it to be in battle, and only by an opponent who could match him in power. He also believes in the binding power of ones given duty, as he faithfully protected the Major and followed his orders as given, both in World War 2 and long after. He even directed Integra on where to find the Major.

Digging in a bit further, it could be surmised that the Captain may have been intensely lonely. Alucard himself had said that he thought that the werewolves are all but extinct, and that the Captain was an anomaly like himself. He also stated that he was probably around a century old, perhaps older than even that. The Major said that the Captain was "a werewolf from the start". Adding this to his silence and intensely stoic, almost alien presence, it's more than likely that the Captain was a werewolf from his birth, rather than a human that was changed into a monster. Even in the presence of other monsters, the Captain was utterly alone. After a long enough time of that, who wouldn't seek some kind of end to it?

Much of the Captain's behavior, such as his silent stalking, locked gaze, and the fact that he only expresses visible and audible emotion when he's transformed into a full wolf, also points to him being utterly inhuman. Put simply, he's more wolf than person. While intelligent, he doesn't think or speak how humans do, nor does he seem to have any desire to. His human form is just a shawl he throws on to move about with the rest of the humanoids.

Background:
http://hellsing.wikia.com/wiki/The_Captain
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/MillenniumNazis (Under "The Captain" heading)

Strengths/Weaknesses: Mentally, the Captain is nearly unflappable. Nearly, but not entirely. In the past, Alucard was able to taunt the Captain enough to get him to attack by comparing him to a dog and barking at him childishly. Aside from this one outburst, he's never really shown any anger in his human form. Just an intense, laser-like focus. For the entire fight with Seras, his expression is void of any real emotion until the very end.

Physically, he shares the same silver weakness as most werewolves in fiction have. It seems to be the only thing capable of actually killing him. Or at least the only thing introduced in Hellsing canon.

His cool-headedness and devotion to his duty are his main mental strengths. Do you have any idea how unnerving it is to throw everything you've got at an opponent, only for him to keep coming with no real sign of discomfort?

Abilities: The Captain is a werewolf, which naturally comes with certain advantages.

His strength is the most noticeable. He has a punch strong enough to destroy whole limbs in a single strike, kick aside a thrown missile with a sweep of his leg, and beat Seras senseless to the point where even her vampiric regeneration has trouble keeping up with the damage, including kicking her through several layers of the ship.

In terms of speed and agility, Captain has proven that he can pour it on when he needs to. Normally he's content to move at a moderate pace. Upon realizing he had to get to another scene of battle quickly, he kicked into high gear, rebounding off buildings so quickly that he was barely seen. When Walter attacks him both in the past and present, he is able to both avoid and catch Walter's wires with relative ease.

The Captain's flesh is durable enough to resist even Walter's wires, which can cut through wood, flesh, bone, and steel with equal ease. The wires can penetrate his flesh, but seem unable to bind him or slice to the bone. He's also resistant to most small arms fire-power. During the London attack he leaps from a derrigible and hits the ground full-force, with no damage.

While not explicitly stated, his ability to sense things going on far away implies heightened senses, just as his vampiric comrades and enemies have.

One of his more bizarre powers is the ability to transform into mist. A werewolf trait exclusive to Hellsing lore. He can avoid attacks or negate physical injury simply by becoming a mist and reforming elsewhere.

Like any good werewolf, he can also change his body at will. UNLIKE many good werewolves, he isn't bound to the full moon, nor does the change hamper him. He can shift between human, wolf-man, and dire wolf forms as smoothly as slipping into a fresh suit.

On top of all that, the Captain is a soldier. A well-trained one at that. His fight with Seras isn't some wreckless dust-up, but a series of focused strikes taken from a well-practiced defensive stance. His skill with his long-barreled mauser pistols is also likely a product of his training.

First Person: [The video feed is a little shaky at first, kicking on and off as the Captain taps at buttons, trying to figure out the little display. When he finally thinks it might be recording, he stares at it for a bit, as if expecting a reaction. Then he taps out a few words.]

Unknown place. Unknown circumstances. Requesting information on location. Requesting information on captors. I do not belong in this place. I will find out who is responsible for this.

This is not the afterlife, it cannot be. If compensation is required, I will repay the favor. All that is needed is information and nothing more. Respond.

[With his message sent, he goes back to looking at the device, still and silent as a statue. His eyes are an unsettling red, completely unblinking.]

Third Person: To wake up in a situation like this might have gotten a rise out of anyone else. Led to confused shouting, jumping about, and probably a few curses here and there. Not to him, though. As in all things, he analyzed. Studied. Committed his surroundings to detail by extending his senses. All while staying completely serene. The accumulated scents on the train, the rumble of the rails under his feet, the clack of the metal-on-metal, they all echoed in his head. Answers would come eventually. He just had to see where this was going.

As the train stopped completely, he walked out, taking note of his surroundings. London was behind him, now. Though he couldn't hear or pick up on he sounds of any nearby people, he also didn't have the smell of blood, gunpowder, and corroded metals in his nostrils. So the area was at least peaceful and not touched by the great war.. He had been so close. Why was he denied his final rest, only to end up here? Where even was "here"? For once, even his senses were somewhat muddled. It all frustrated him.

The Captain looked at himself as he passed a mirror. Not so much as a mark. The place where the silver should have been was completely unmarred, though his dog-tags were still missing. At least he had his pants and boots on. He didn't much care about modesty, but a man of his size walking around naked tended to draw attention. He didn't need that right now. Too much to find out. He had to know what went wrong.

As he idly wandered the empty streets, something bumped against his thigh from inside his pocket. He reached in, pulling out a small, round trinket. A smattering of messages came on screen as he opened it, causing him to cock an eyebrow in curiosity? What kind of human device was this? He tapped at it a few times, then decided to close it. Another mystery he had to figure out. Who could have slipped this into his pocket without him knowing? That was no easy feat, nor was putting him on a train without his knowing. Perhaps they were also responsible for his resurrection.

A familiar, but not oft-used feeling coursed through his mind. Anger. If they were responsible for all of this, they would have to answer for it. He swore it. It was time to hunt.
