A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

[personal profile] noassgardian 2015-01-28 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
CHARACTER
Name: Billy Kaplan
Canon: Marvel 616
Age: 17
Timeline: Young Avengers Vol 2/#15. right after leaving the New Years party.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A.

Personality: At first glance, Billy probably doesn't seem like anything more than a pretty typical (albeit nerdy) teenager. He loves comics, pop culture, mythology, and superheroes... to a really extreme level. He can toss out quotes from his favorite movies, recall details about shows, books, and really, the amount of knowledge he has about all things superhero is downright impressive. In short, he's a total fanboy and entirely shameless about the fact.

But that's not all there is to him.

Things aren't entirely easy for him. Both because of the aforementioned nerdiness and his sexuality, Billy has been a target of bullying in school. He never particularly fought back against it, not for a while, but at least he never let it change him either. Like he's said, he's never had a problem with being different from other people, it's just other people who have had a problem with it. So he took the abuse and just went on his way until a chance encounter with the Scarlet Witch (one of his favorite Avengers) and the desire to stand up for a stranger showed him how strong he could be.

It's that sense of right and wrong, that urge to protect others from things he'd been willing to endure himself, that sent him down the path to becoming a superhero. That, and well, who wouldn't want to be an Avenger? It meant getting to be exactly like the heroes he grew up admiring.

But it's not all entirely just living out a fanboy fantasy. Billy takes saving people seriously. He won't think twice about going into battle, no matter what the danger is, if it helps others. He's also got a very impressive protective instinct when it comes to his friend and family to the point where he'd rather die, if it meant it made things right for everyone else.

He has a very strict view of 'right' and 'wrong' to the point where he has been shown very unwilling to kill anyone and it's also been shown that it's extremely upsetting to think himself even capable of it, regardless of the reasons behind the desire.

And while he might idolize someone or be close with them, that doesn't mean Billy will hesitate to speak his mind when he believes he's right, whether it's the Avengers or his friends. In fact, he can be downright stubborn and impossible to sway once he's set his mind on something. This isn't always a good thing and it's gotten him in trouble in the past. Just because he thinks he's right doesn't mean he actually is after all.

And you might think that conviction means he's got all the confidence in the world, but he really doesn't. He's prone to blaming himself for his mistakes more than anyone else and he's nowhere near certain enough in his abilities.

How can you blame him though? He knows his magic is powerful and he doesn't always know how to control it. He's seen what can happen if you lose control from the Scarlet Witch and from his own experience. There's a very large part of him that fears that could be him if he's not very careful.

Overall, doubting himself is something he's got a talent for.

Besides that, Billy is mostly a genuinely friendly, nice guy. He can be talkative when the mood hits, especially about things he enjoys, and he's not above cracking a joke or two (though it can be tinged with sarcasm or rather self-deprecating at times). And like most teenagers, if he goes more than a minute without answering his texts, the world is probably ending (possibly literally). That said, he can be really cynical and sarcastic at times. If he's suspicious of someone, that friendliness tends to disappear as well. He won't hide it if he doesn't think someone is on their side and he won't bother to bite back on his less pleasant characteristics either. That said, if someone has earned his trust, he can warm up pretty fast.

On the downside, he's also got a tendency to withdraw and mope when things are going wrong. Actually, that's putting it mildly. He has been so depressed in the past that he's literally not wanted to move or talk to anyone around him. This is something that it seems he moves past with the help of Teddy, but he still has a tendency towards depression. His sense of self-preservation, as mentioned before, isn't always very impressive either. He's been shown to be downright suicidal at times as well, genuinely thinking it better to just end his life.

When nervous or in stressful situations, sarcasm is his go to, along with attempts to downplay his problems (or occasionally build them up if he thinks it can lighten the mood or distract from them).

He can also have a pretty impressively bad temper when he's worked up. He won't think things through before he says them and it ends up in bad foot-in-mouth syndrome more than occasionally. He can be pretty careless with his words when this happens and downright selfish, concerned only with how things might affect him. It's a pretty big flaw of his, focusing on how things affect him and not stopping to wonder how others might feel about it.

That said though, once he's cooled down or had it pointed out to him, he is quick to make amends or apologize. He's not a perfect person by any means, but he doesn't take pleasure in hurting people he loves either.

Touching on the family thing again, it's something that's important to Billy Kaplan. And boy, does he have a unique mess of one. He has the family he was born into, the Kaplans, that are extremely warm and supportive (and two annoying little brothers he mentions and probably helps take care of anyway, because that's what big brothers do). He's a good son and he respects his parents as much as any other teenager. He doesn't go out of his way to upset them or disobey them unless there's a good reason for it and he knows how lucky he has it. After all, how many other parents would not only accept their son is gay, but take in his boyfriend and treat him like one of the family without any hesitation?

Then he also has the Scarlet Witch, who is responsible for him and his (also annoying) twin brother, Tommy, being alive at all. He actually went out of his way to look for her, just because it was important for him to get to know his real mother and get answers that had been bugging him for a while.

You can't forget Teddy and all the other Young Avengers either, who might as well be family with as close as they all are.

Regardless of his flaws or mistakes, these are the people who are closest to Billy Kaplan and they're also the ones he would go to the ends of the earth and beyond for, if they needed it.

CHARACTER
Name: Baelfire
Canon: Once Upon A time
Age: 14
Timeline: That moment when young Bae and his father were going to use the magic bean to go to a new world, one without magic, and Rumple… let him go. So Bae will be dropping in just after his papa betrayed him…
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality:
Bae is self sacrificing, and far stronger than he will ever realize. He loves deeply, truly, and would do anything for the people who hold his heart. It is not hard to earn his love, to have a place in his heart. He loves easily but… it is also easy to hurt him.

He tries to be forgiving. He tries so hard to be forgiving. He fights to be an optimist, to see the best in people, but there is a core of hopelessness in him. Even at his young age, he wars with a certainty that things cannot ever get better. He fights to hope that he is wrong, he works hard to keep his belief in others, to push down his pain…

Given how isolated he has been, for so long… Bae isn’t always the best at making new friends. He wants to be… but he’s gotten so used to being rebuffed – either because people don’t want to play with the coward’s son, or because they fear playing with the dark one’s son – that he has walls built around his heart. Walls that crumble at the first touch of kindness. (In cannon, instead of coming to RC he winds up in London, with the Darlings. They give him food and a place to stay, and for that he loves them so much that he sacrifices himself for them, so at this cannon point he is in more or less that state of mind, eager for the first touch of kindness, but sure he’ll never get it)

Mostly, at this point… Bae wants his father. Not the “Dark One” that Rumple became, but his loving Papa. He doesn’t care if his father is a coward, not really, and keeps blaming himself for the rift that began between them. He was called to war and… he didn’t think about how hurt his father could be by his words…

He isn’t actually aware of it, but since getting conscripted to fight in the Ogre wars, Bae has had a thing about blame. Someone has to be wrong in any given conflict. It isn’t a conscious thought, he doesn’t choose who he thinks is wrong, but his brain clicks into victim/bully mode, and more and more he sees himself bouncing between victim and bully. He carries a lot of guilt, because the other alternative is anger, even though the reality of his situation is not so clear cut or well defined. He’s still a kid, and he is learning lessons about how badly things can go, even if they start with good intentions. And all mixed up in that is fear.

Oddly, he seems to fear the power he has more than the power his father does. Because he knows that if he gets angry with someone, his father will punish them, if someone makes him upset… his father will punish them. He feels like he has to hide his emotions about anyone other than himself and his father… for fear that his father will act on Bae’s emotions without giving himself a chance to settle what he wants to do. He fears how his father reacts to everything he says and does, so fears to say or do much of anything. He wants friends, but they’re all afraid of him, so he has no one to talk to, and more and more trying to talk to his papa is like trying to shout into a sealed off well. It goes nowhere and just leaves him sore and sorry.

Bae internalizes… a lot… as a result of this. He keeps his feelings locked inside, which leads to explosions at his father, explosions he almost always regrets after. After all… all of this was his fault in the first place…

CHARACTER

Name: Aquila. You're right. It's not a real name. But that's what he'll tell you.

Age: 24.

Appearance: A casual young Arab man; six foot one, in his mid twenties who keeps his hair short and his beard trimmed. With a slight slack in his posture and a moxie in his gate the lean figure never presents himself as particularly threatening, though confident and assertive with a firm and thick set of eyebrows that frame powerful brown eyes. At a glance, he's approachable and relaxed, fond of leaning back against walls and looking up. Voicing in at a low tenor, high baritone, his words tend to be eloquent though his Arabic accent tends to bleed through at any given time.

He has no tattoos, though the marks on his skin from bullets, knives, and other forms wounds such as burn marks or scarred welts from different methods of torture litter his body from head to toe. He wears these as casually as he'd wear tattoos, though, and doesn't seem all that opposed to explaining what they are, nor does he seem very upset about them. Torture, street fights, shootouts, boxing matches, you name it. He'd tell you about it if you asked the right questions.

He dresses like you'd expect any young man caught up in the throes of the Arab Spring revolutions to dress. Western influenced given the tee shirts and cargo pants and lace up Air Jordans and loose black or dark blue jeans, but with the distinctive scarf of Arab men printed with that almost net like pattern, a kufiyeh, around his neck or occasionally wrapped around his head. A simple thin silver chain with the Arabic name for God hanging from it hangs from his neck. However, his most defining article of clothing is the pair of black gloves made of Kevlar and carbon fiber weave to prevent cutting injuries or abrasions, with a solid metal padding around the knuckles but inside the fabric to give a bit more punch to his fists.

Though he is relatively laid back, he is almost always armed; a self made street brawler out of necessity with both fists and hidden blades, anything he could sneak by the tight control of the military police around his city. This does not make him belligerent; rather the knives and the padded knuckles are are safety measures. You do what you must to survive, after all.

He carries around a black and gray backpack with him, with all the tabs torn off to prevent jingling as he moves. In his sneakers he's learned to move quiet as a mouse when he needs to, and keeps a low profile with dark clothing in the shadows in general. Not strictly operating within the confines of a rather oppressive law, measures must be taken to prevent capture. He travels light and often, moving from place to place, though his backpack is assured to have an assortment of soft drinks of various origins he's picked up on the job, which he collects and enjoys in duller moments.

He can usually be found with his pet golden eagle, lovingly named Ill Eagle, whom he'd met as a young boy in a refugee camp in Syria. Ill is a golden eagle native to the area with a wonderful golden brown plumage and swift as any swallow and smart as any crow. He accompanies Aquila on his travels, though most of a time at a distance, though he comes when called, or when his master is asleep to sleep with one eye open, watchfully.

Chosen PB: Omar Borkan Al-Gala.

Personality: The word easygoing is one people often use to describe Aquila, and at a glance it's easy to tell this man isn't interested in making huge waves or being all that important, though he's social and approachable at any rate. Though not necessarily demure, he tends to accept and adapt to any situation that comes by in order to do what's asked of him, or, failing an issued directive, what he feels is a beneficial objective, like perhaps helping a displaced family find food, or delivering the more innocuous supplies necessary for those fighting the good fight. Never really having a solid lot in life with fortunes that change and shift like the sands in a storm, Aquila has been beaten back and forth around the Middle East and Asia from Morocco to Bangladesh, and even to the Americas and Europe a few times, and has learned to look at the hand he's dealt with an opportunistic and ironically grounded outlook, given his particular skill at handling aircraft in under-the-radar operations. There's nothing else to do other than do what has to be done to get where you feel is right, even if the means don't feel so stellar sometimes. Given a life so full of chaos in the war torn Middle East, it's hard to live with yourself without accepting that things are going to be shitty.

And from that attitude spawns his wry humor and playful attitude. A silly young man fond of soft drinks and a good laugh, not so strict on the ages old rule of abstinence, Aquila can be a fun person to be around, and almost always leaves a positive impression on the people he meets. He has a way of soothing the uneasy and making light of otherwise stressful tensions, perhaps a coping for the terrible things he bears witness to and the questionable things he does every day. It's a lifestyle. Being a thug is hard work.

Religion is a shifting thing in the world, constantly evolving though the previous generation is always so desperate to stop it. Aquila calls himself Muslim, prays the requisite prayers, thinks often of God, seeks his help in times of stress, thanks him for times of prosperity. But he refuses to believe that God and the idea of him can be fit into a canon restricted by the imagination and the words of humanity, and finds himself searching and discovering more of the Divine almost as a hobby, a piqued curiosity that he ponders in idle moments. Exploring faiths, questioning and examining and reflecting in mind and poetry the philosophies of mankind and its occasional intersections with divinity, looking for his answers rather than sitting back and making empty arguments or excuses to himself. Naturally superstitious in his own ways, his belief in the divine is serious, but detached.

However, beyond the relaxed and somewhat compassionate nature and his modernistic view of religion, perhaps the crux of his personality lies in his inability to trust that the ground will still be beneath his feet when next he looks down at it. The world moves so fast and the situations all so unsteady that Aquila plans never to be in one place for too long; consistency never truly a concept, nor a solid identity such as under a name. Unbidden, he'd never give a name, and bidden, he'd give this alias which means little and gives away even less. Trusting no one to the fullest, he prefers to do and almost always insists on doing everything he needs to do by his own hand, within fair reason and with awareness of his limitations and capabilities. Mysterious and dodgy almost naturally, he rarely reveals anything about himself or his motives without being asked the right questions, and tends to play coy about anything even when asked to the point of some frustration with the less patient. He gets a kick out of that. The frustration of people who like having clear and consistent answers, who like the security of being able to name something and describe it with words they understand. Mostly because he's let that all go. He does what he's asked to do, to the word and to the best of his abilities, though he carefully chooses who he wishes to obey.

As a result, as friendly as Aquila is, he doesn't make friends, or keep them for long if he does, preferring to remain the helpful stranger you run into on the street rather than the friend you can count on to be there when you need him. Each relationship is another thread that binds him for better or worse, threads that can be cut to leave him exposed or hurting, or threads that can snap as a rope keeping him from falling into the chasm. Too many people died and suffered around him because of their webs of emotional connections, enough to make him feel they would only land him in the same place buried in the sand.

It's worth nothing the subtle genuine bitterness in the sardonic attitude he has toward the situation of his world, clear that though he might hate the thought of it, he is human, and has a very human anger at the world he'd been born into, the situation a mess the responsibility of quite literally everyone involved. But strangely enough, this undercurrent of frustration feels so much more secure to feel connected to than another person, and he lets his own jurisprudence guide him with the gentle nudging of his belief in the divine, looking for some justice, something akin to a better world, to find Rome a city of brick, and leave it a city of marble-- or give it his best shot.

World Information: Aquila is a fictional character in a non fictional world. Though some creative liberties are taken, Aquila fits into the category of 21st century frustrated Arab youth whose image and culture and history has been stained and cursed by both outsiders and insiders, tyrants and agitators alike. Aquila was born in the West Bank, but with the rapid and aggressive expansion of the settlement program in Israel, more and more Palestinian communities were evicted or destroyed if resistance was put up. Communities like these are cast to the wind for the most part with little chance of recourse, either forced to leave the country or flee to the contained pockets of Palestinian territory that may or may not be worse than a refugee camp. For fear of getting more political than most can handle, I won't expand much further on this, so it's safe to say Aquila comes from a real world scenario in the Middle East. [And there are plenty of Wikis you can consult for more details. :^)]

History: Around the time of the first Intifada in Palestine, a child was born. This was hardly the time for a child to be born, but as fate would have it, and verily fate could care less about his well being, it happened. Presumably lovers who were separated in many of the riots and following arrests and lengthy imprisonments, Aquila's parents died or went missing before his relevant memory. This left him an orphan without a clear cut community in the West Bank.

Fortunately, an orphanage took the small child in, and for a time he stayed there with the old sheikh who took care of them, in the name of God and in the example of their prophet. Here he learned to read and write, memorized verses from the Quran, learned of the teachings of Mohammed, was instructed how to pray and how to prepare for prayer, all the things a little Muslim boy should learn.

This was fine for a time, before the settlement program continued to expand into this little village whose name was lost to the sand as the Israeli government demolished it to make room for the walled settlement complexes of their new immigrants, and once more Aquila was cast off from what could have been home, rejected from entry into any of the Jordanian refugee camps, instead processed to Syria, one of two nations still sympathetic to the plight of Palestine in a real and supportive way, the other being Lebanon-- though it should be mentioned that neither country has had the most effective leadership to truly help the Palestinians.

Here, in the face of what a million people looked like in a refugee camp, Aquila decided it wasn't enough to live one day after the next and be shuffled around like cattle. God said to rise up against oppression, and he was rather tired of being pressed down, by anyone. Not by the officials who controlled the aid brought to the camps, not by the mullahs who scolded him for stealing medicine and food to give to the sick refugees who couldn't make it for the day's handouts, not by the border patrols as he went back to Palestine with food, with blankets, with light bulbs and flashlights and televisions and Game boys and knick knacks, cans of Pepsi cola and kitkats, back out again to pick it all up once more. Not by the agents who caught him, framed him for smuggling arms, beat him, tortured him, scoured him for information he didn't have.

By all rights, Aquila committed many crimes. But to call him a criminal was a crime in itself. The young man joined a gang at first, back in the camps. Moving small things, conveniences, food, toys. Medicines came next, a tricky and horrible business so tightly controlled you couldn't get a single Tylenol pill across the border without a stack of paperwork. Things got complicated then. There were competing interests, money changed hands, bullets in all the wrong places and directions, countless deals gone sour, questionable sources with questionable intent. Illegal narcotics and a gamut of things he could have gotten executed for, though never weapons, something he refused to enable whenever possible. But he'd learned from his first more innocuous trips, and he'd learned from the best at it, even if it was from people he was sure he didn't like.

By now he doesn't argue against the charges that he's assisting terrorists-- his various connections and past deals and associating put him into contact with everyone on the CIA'S expansive hitlist, and even more on the IDF's, trying to get the things people needed, however possible. That was his life, still was, until he woke up one morning on a train to nowhere.

And to tell the truth, he probably doesn't miss it.

CHARACTER
Name: Grell Sutcliff
Canon: Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler)
Age: Real: 100+ Apparent: Early Thirties (Fully Mature but not Aging)
Timeline: Season 1 Episode 6 Sebastian has defeated Grell by jamming his chainsaw scythe. Right before Sebastian can kill him, William T. Spears appears and drags him by the hair to be disciplined for his crimes. The canon point is right after they return to the reaper world.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A
Personality: First and foremost, Grell is insane. While amiable, cheerful and flirtatious generally, he scrolls through emotions rapidly and is quick to intense and frightening fits of rage, violence, lust, sorrow, and affection. Always fancying himself an actor, emotions to him are more like an opportunity to make a dramatic spectacle of himself, rather than something he actually feels. Therefore, his over-reacting is legendary. He genuinely enjoys throwing tantrums, making scenes, and generally using his emotional outbursts to make himself the center of attention.
Grell is quick to declare his love for anyone he deems worthy. Masochistic in nature, abuse and physical violence from the targets of his intense passion usually just encourages him. It's frequently unclear in his fits of passion if he is truly proclaiming affection or merely wants to antagonize, even to Grell himself. He likes to act as though his feelings are returned. Part of this is because he is a masochist, and he does genuinely get off being fought off and generally abused. The other part is because acting as though the fight is a love affair, Grell encourages further attention and abuse.

Grell feeds on attention, and will stop at nothing to get it. To him, attention is good no matter how negative a form it takes. In fact, he seems to prefer provoking negative reactions and even physical attacks from the people around him to any other form of interaction. He dearly loves to frighten people and make them uncomfortable. He's also capable of and even revels in gruesome acts of violence. He dearly loves all things red, especially blood.

While outwardly male, he refers to himself using female pronouns and enjoys thinking of himself as a woman. However, while he likes his long hair, makeup, and the occasional dressing up, Grell really makes no serious effort to present himself as anything other than a man. He’s very vain, and dearly loves his male body. He openly revels in the difference between his physical gender and his claims to femininity. He uses it to his advantage to provoke negative attention, make people uncomfortable regularly throughout the series. This makes him very different from a transgender woman. He’s a man with a fetish for cross dressing and gender switching, who uses that fetish to cause other’s distress and get attention. Grell, as we know, feeds on negative attention and conflict with others. (Side note: In Japanese gay culture, it is very common for gay men to refer to themselves and each other using female pronouns. I am aware Yana Toboso in a character “interview” she wrote, described Grell as wanting to have a sex change operation. In Japanese culture, the line between a transgender woman and a gay man is frequently confused. Statements like that are used to describe just how “gay” a male character is. She has also described him as a gay man more than she has described him as a transgender woman.)
The only sincere emotion on the matter he shows is that he does genuinely lament not being able to carry children. He likes children, but they also make him uncomfortable. One reason for this could be because, as his job is a reaper in a time period when infant mortality and child deaths were common, the task of reaping children would be a common and distressing one. This discomfort combined with his short temper and tendency toward wild outbursts make him particularly bad with them.

Most of the targets for his wild romantic attentions are men, but he's flexible in the matter and can harbor romantic and sexual feelings for women. This, however, is rare. Most women he treats with jealousy and distain. When he does, it’s usually because he’s enjoying playing out some drama he’s concocted, and the woman is a part of the drama and has less to do with her personally.

Loyalty isn't something Grell is overly concerned with. He'll look out for number one. However, he is very vain, and is susceptible to flattery and tokens of affection, no matter how minor or insincere. In fact, even the smallest sign of approval seems to delight him. He seems to have no real qualms with letting himself be manipulated quite readily. Once motivated, Grell can be easily be made into a powerful, but ultimately unreliable ally.

He does have moments of lucidity, and he can be quite cunning and intelligent when he wants to be. He just doesn’t want to be. Generally, he’s not so mentally broken that he cannot function; he’s just broken enough so that he doesn’t care to. He’s a bit like the child who drops the plate and breaks it so he doesn’t have to do the dishes anymore. Therefore, it is never quite clear how much of his wild, mad persona is real insanity, and how much of it is acted for the benefit, or rather determent, of those around him. Notoriously self-absorbed, he can often be brutal or cruel even when he doesn’t intend to be.

It is the job of a shinigami to kill people when they are scheduled to die and harvest their souls. Therefore, Grell’s relationship with death is fairly skewed. For Grell, to kill a human would only be to reap them early. It wouldn’t have much significance. He sees human life as dirty and boring anyway, so he has no real respect for it.

His other interests include playing games, acting, theater, music, and the arts. He also enjoys photography. Grell does have an incredibly short attention span. So, his interests and hobbies tend to be passionate, but short lived.

Background: Grell Stucliff became a shinigami in the late 1700s. As a young shinigami, Grell was known for his vicious temper, unpredictable personality, and brutal violence. However, he was also known for his technical skill at collecting human souls and working with the cinematic records, the recording of a person’s life that plays out upon their death. This is dangerous work, and his gifts at handling it forces the shinigami HR to deal with him. On purely technical achievement, he holds one of the few AAA scores on record at Dispatch where he was trained and works. However, in spite of his impressive talent, his mental instability, emotional outbursts and brutality kept him from any kind of promotion. He stayed a rather low-level reaper. His original partner, the young shinigami who took the original exams with him, is William T. Spears. William is now a supervisor at dispatch. This doesn’t seem to bother Grell, who’s short attention span causes him to despise office work and paperwork, which he is almost always behind on.

As a young shinigami, Grell’s feminine affectations were absent. While he showed an interest in fancy dress and handsome men, he showed no interest in being female. It wasn’t until he got into a fight with William that he realized that he enjoyed being dominated. When he realized he enjoyed being beaten and dominated, he adopted feminine affectations to go with this new found desire.
Grell appears to have mellowed somewhat through the years. While still unstable and violent, his more flamboyant and effeminate personality seems to have been cultivated over time. After the incident with "Madame Red" (Where he willingly became an accomplice and participant in the “Jack the Ripper” murders) he appears to have been professionally reprimanded and even demoted multiple times. William replaced his chainsaw scythe with scissors, something Grell greatly lamented. However, his originally modified scythe has been recovered.

Abilities:First Person:
[Grell mutters to himself as he tries to get the communicator to work for his first video post]

Red… Red… Red…

If I have to find myself in a strange new place, is a little RED too much to ask for? Nothing at all here is red.

[He satisfies himself that it is working.]

Listen! Whoever is out there! I’ll have you know that you’ve kidnapped a REAPER! Now, what do you think of that? I know you’re all just DYING to correct your horrible, horrible mistake. So, I would say it’s to your advantage to fix this bloody mess, unless you want to find yourself AN ACTUAL BLOODY MESS!

Whatever you do to me, just know that my handsome William and my beloved Sebas-Chan will do ANYTHING to get me back. Do you hear me? Anything. I will be rescued. And when I am?

[He goes into a sing-song voice.] You’ll be sooo-ooo-ooo-rryyy!

Ah-ahn! Those handsome men, fighting against all odds to rescue their beautiful beloved! It’s too… too wonderful! Coming to snatch me from the arms of my cruel… inhuman… brutal… strong… dominating… masterful captors! Who without mercy even at this very moment are Ahh-ahn!! [Swooning in a fit of ecstasy, he falls onto the ground, out of frame.]

Um…

[His head pops up again, and he peers into the camera.]

Hey! Where are my brutal strong captors? What kind of a kiddy operation are you running here?

I hate this place already.
Third Person: “They buried William in the old church yard,
And Barbara there anigh him,
And out of his grave grew a red, red rose,
And out of hers, a briar.”

Grell sang pleasantly to himself. He didn’t remember where he’d heard the song, but it had love, death, and a red rose and a William in it. So, he liked it. He hopped lightly across a hopscotch court that only existed in his mind.

Grell was bored.

And that wasn’t altogether safe.

A tall, handsome man with dark hair and blue eyes walked past. He tucked his nose down, avoiding eye contact with the redhead. This might have deterred a normal person, but not Grell.

“Hey there! You! The HANDSOME one! The entire city looks like DEATH warmed over! Do you think you could help a poor maiden to safety? Once we’re settled by a nice red fire, I could show you how warm I can…”

The man began to walk faster, away from the red reaper.

“You! Come back here! Can’t you see that I’m in DISTRESS? I’m in need of assistance!”

Grell lay chase, and the man broke into a run. Shark-like teeth grind together, and the scream of an active chainsaw rips through the decaying street.

“HOW DARE YOU LEAVE ME HERE, WEAK AND INNOCENT AND HELPLESS! GET BACK HERE! I’M IN NEED OF A MAN TO SAVE ME NOW GET BACK HERE!”
