APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS

Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

✗ Canon Application

✗ Canon OC Application

✗ OC Application

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

Here are three more paragraphs, hope it does the job.

For a long time, Mickey’s views on good and evil were fairly black and white, except when it came to people he personally knew, such as Pete. As a result, he was under the impression that anyone who used light was good, and anyone who used darkness was evil. But with his time spent alongside Riku, those views began to change, as he saw someone who was clearly a good kid use the darkness without becoming corrupted any further. This didn’t come as a gigantic or unwelcome shock – as a loving person, he welcomed the idea of change, and encouraged Riku to follow his own path to dawn. Thanks to this, he became a firm believer in second changes for those he knows little about. He’s even come to worry about those who have deeply wronged him, such as Maleficent (Who threatened his home and wife at least twice!). Ultimately, he would rather that all bad guys turned good instead of having to fight and defeat them. As much as he enjoys a fun fight and adventure, he knows peace would be the best gift of all.

Once Mickey became king, he became fiercely independent, thinking he could do things all by himself. As a result, he wound up getting into a lot of trouble, especially during his apprenticeship under Master Yensid. It wasn’t that he was selfish, but he didn’t want anyone else to get hurt – and he happened to be very headstrong in his beliefs. So time and time again he’d leave his kingdom when he thought he could handle it by himself, and left vague, small details for those he actually trusted. Over the course of the story, Mickey saw that his keeping secrets (such as not telling Sora what happened to Riku in 2) and continuing to act on his own was actually hurting as many people as he was saving. He had to remember the importance of teamwork, and by Dream Drop Distance, going to Yensid and staying around the Mark of Mastery Exam, he was shown it was okay to still ask others for help and to work alongside his friends.

Mickey also has a deep, instant love for those he first meets – a sort of “a person’s a person no matter how small” mentality, as shown in Coded. Though Data-Sora and the others were just made out of code, he was very concerned when he learned they would lose their memories. He also tends to trust people automatically, and even though people have abused this trust (Such as Xehanort) he still is willing to trust people he has only just met. He knows not all people are good, but he’s happier to believe that most people are, and it’s been near impossible to kill his faith in humanity. Good will ultimately triumph, even if it means using unusual means to do it, such as Darkness or becoming allies with enemies, like Axel. But he’s eager to use these new ways, and enjoys learning how to use these new ways to his advantage.
