APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS

Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

-love and romance~~~

Abilities: He can make gloves real good!! Which likely extends to general leatherworking and such. Also a great actor. And I guess he's like the greatest writer of the english language ever or something? His favourite sport is fencing and he's actually really good at it too!

As far as abilities as a Servant go, he's not very strong at all...his main ability is self preservation, which basically means if something goes down and he's in danger, he can get the fuck out of there. His other basic ability is enchant, which allows him to reinforce things like weapons to strengthen his Master or other allies so he doesn't have to fight and can instead watch.
As for his Noble Phantasms, there are two:

The Globe - this basically allows him to be the single greatest actor ever. He assumes the role of anyone he wishes, and would fool even their own mother without any trouble. He's absolutely indistinguishable from the real thing. He uses this for stirring up trouble and not actually fighting...

First Folio - and this is his only fighting ability, one for an instant win....so long as the party he uses it against is weaker than him. If they are, it's an instant KO, if not, it does absolutely nothing.

First Person: Test drive meme

Third Person: Caster stood among the shelves marked 'literature', having found a shop claiming to hold the greatest collection in the city. The worker had said the books were ordered alphabetically by the author's family name, but it seemed to jump straight from Sedgwick to Shaw. Truthfully he was getting tired of seeing Shaw everywhere. The Royal Shakespeare Company was performing The Doctor's Dilemma, a look inside Shaw's The Dark Lady of the Sonnets showed a preface speaking of some concept of 'bardolotry'. So, was the man a fan, or wasn't he?

He sighed. Really, how could it be that in London, players calling themselves The Royal Shakespeare Company could perform something written by a man opposed to him - how could a book shop boasting of such a great collection ignore him entirely? He, Shakespeare, the greatest writer of the English language, cast out of his own city! It was all too much, he felt light-headed - or perhaps that was due to all the layers he wore inside a heated store...

But then, he saw it. As if a gift from God, but no, it had been there all along, they really did love him still, he was only looking in the wrong section! He had underestimated himself, expecting to find his works listed merely under 'literature'! A few feet away, a sign hung from the ceiling, 'Shakespeare', it said. Of course his great accomplishments should have their own set of shelves entirely! Stick it, Shaw. You too, Jonson...especially Jonson.

He hurried to the shelves, debating which volume of the complete works to purchase before he settled on the most elaborate cover. The price was the highest, but surely Kotomine wouldn't mind once he started reading it. Should he buy a few extra copies for his fellow Servants to share among themselves as well? His Master would become much too absorbed to allow the rest a turn at reading, so perhaps a few individual copies of plays. What would each most enjoy...Titus Andronicus for Berserker, naturally. Macbeth for Assassin. Possibly Pericles for Rider...or would he prefer a history? Inevitably Caster would spend the rest of the day making the decision of what to gift his comrades. What would they each enjoy the most, and therefore be most impressed with him?
