APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS

Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

✗ Canon OC Application

✗ OC Application

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

First Person: [The watch clicks on by accident, and it appears to be held in someone’s hand. There is the sound of the owner walking down the street; he grunts a little as he jumps over some larger pieces of rubble with apparently little effort at all. He apparently has not realized that the watch is a communication device, and it’s only by sheer luck that he opens his hand after a bit. The feed reveals a handsome young man in his twenties, dressed as someone might have during the 1940s. A simple striped collared shirt under a brown bomber jacket, with his blonde hair trimmed cleanly and slicked back from his face. His shoulders are broad; he is at the peak of physical fitness. Intent blue eyes are looking into the distance; he appears to be near the center of town. Barely visible over his shoulder is the curve of what looks like an impressive shield strapped to his back. He breathes out, apparently a bit baffled by what he sees.]

Looks like I’m not in Kansas anymore…

Third Person: He stood in the deserted train station, his eyes narrowed slightly as he tried to understand his situation. Somehow, between his last memories of the night before at the gym, and now, someone or, more likely, something had spirited him onto that train. He glanced down at his attire; he was wearing street clothes and his leather jacket, but despite the lack of uniform, his shield was strapped securely to his back. The soldier in him was on full alert; something about this place…

Something wasn’t right here. Was it Loki? No, that was impossible; he’d watched Thor take both the Tesseract and his war criminal brother back to Asgard. But that did not bar the possibility that someone else had taken notice of the Earth during that short-lived war. But how had they managed to catch him off guard? That was not something easily done. He needed information first; nothing could be solved with sheer brute force…he did not even know who his enemies were.

Captain Rogers stepped through the deserted station, passing by the collections of blankets and supplies, though he made note of them. He looked over his shoulder as he heard the train take off in the direction it had come, but somehow, he knew better than to follow it. A poster on the wall caught his eye in the morning sunlight; Ruby City? He’d never heard of such a place…

His first instinct was to track down the others; had whoever had brought him here also taken interest in the others? But the distinct lack of any sort of communication system made that all but impossible; whoever had done this had made sure to not provide him with a communicator-

The heavy weight in his jacket pocket caught his attention; Steve reached into his pocket, each muscle tensed as he pulled out a fine pocket watch on a chain. It wasn’t his; he’d not owned one like this before.

Ignoring it for now, he held it in his palm and stepped out into the street, and immediately breathed out slowly. Wherever this place was, it had seen better days. It reminded him implicitly of Manhattan after its recent fight with Loki and the Chitauri. Rubble was strewn everywhere, all throughout the streets, and yet…

The architecture was like nothing he’d ever seen save in history books. He walked down the streets slowly, surveying the damage, and finding not a single soul in the streets. As he came to the center of town and saw the large obelisk rising high into the sky, he frowned, and looked slowly around the area.

“Looks like I’m not in Kansas anymore…”
