APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS

Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

First Person: [There was a slight whirr sound, like a movement of long-idle machinery. A single, glowing red eye moves to regard a small bird, it’s wings flitting as it flew up and over the tracks and out of sight. Having hung around the train station in an unfamiliar location, twice, now, he had sent out for orders, only to have none come in. He'd explored the immediate area twice now, but he refused to leave the train station. Not without orders, and not without knowing, exactly, where he was. His eyes fluttered, and he turned back toward the station.]

Insufficient Data for proper analysis of current location. Creating log for unknown area: New folder: Gathered information: Title: Ruby City. Country: Undetermined. Population: Life forms detected, only fauna confirmed.

[His hands moved, fingers brushing over a pocket in his long, flowing Vatican battlerobes. There was a… anomaly. He pulled out an object that looked like a watch. He didn’t remember placing this on his person, and he would have remembered if Caterina had given it to him. The screen seemed to be recording.]

If anybody is listening, I would like to know what this place is, and when the train is coming back. I am currently needed in Rome, and cannot afford to waste any time here.

Third Person:
There was a loud crash. The sound of splintering wood and broken glass as a man, or, rather, a machine in the shape of a man, broke through the ceiling. The building held many people—or, rather, Vampires. Having committed crimes against God, and crimes against the Vatican, he had been sent here on a very important duty. And his duty was quite easy. Destroy everything in his way. Attain the witch. Leave no survivors.

A single eye glowed, and there was a sound around him. Hushed voices, the sound of confusion and fear lingering in the air moments before the cyborg, a giant man made of steel, wire and human parts raised his arms. Holding a pair of heavily modified Beretta 92s, dual guns that were far too heavy and inaccurate for any human to use, the first of many shots fired through the air. The guns spewed fire, the sounds echoing on hollow wooden walls, along with the sound of breaking skin, flesh and bone. There were screams, yells of confusion and pain as just about every single shot, aimed true and straight in the almost impossible darkness hit their target.

Each bullet lit up the room, flashes of the enemy either fleeing the scene, or rushing toward the cyborg in a helpless display of bloodlust. Futile, really, given every creature fell to the ground in a bloodstained mess before even getting within three feet of the mechanical man. After a long moment, there was nothing but silence. Light rained in from the hole in the ceiling above him, nothing left in the room but the bodies of the fallen monsters, and rubble from the broken ceiling. Blood staining the once pristine carpets at Tres’ feet.

“Clear.” His voice rang out, declaring his mission complete—when the door to his left exploded outward. A screaming banshee of a vampire—the final one left inside the building dove toward him. An arm blade extended, ready to drive it into the chest of the Cyborg man. Moments before it struck, there was a sound. A spatter of blood, and a frustrated yell followed, and there was very suddenly another between them. “…Nightroad.” He spoke, looking at his comrade. Very quietly wondering exactly where he had come from.
