First Person:
[ the view, when the feed clears, is a breathtaking panorama of the city from somewhere high up. it is apparent that the person controlling the pocketwatch camera has no clear idea of how to work it, and it is a few moments before he speaks, sounding both mildly irritated and thoroughly unamused at the same time. ]

This is not Fuyuki City.

Whoever has summoned me here, I commend you for your boldness. Take pride while you can, for it will also be the reason for your demise at my hands.

[ the camera pans lower; it is a direct view down, a steep drop, really, and the effect is almost dizzying. ]

I, Gilgamesh, King of Heroes, promise you that.

Third Person:
This was not Fuyuki City.

Gilgamesh did not pay mind to the whispers and gawking of the people loitering in the station when he descended the stairs of the train; his primary focus was the how and why and who would dare--

The last thing he remembered was lying sprawled out amidst the ruins of the building leveled by Saber’s blade. He recalled looking up, glimpsing a swirl of inky darkness blacker than anything he had ever seen before (and it was not fear that had gripped him, then, no, because he was king, and he did not fear anything), standing --- and being doused in mud. Thick, suffocating mud that filled his eyes and nose and mouth and utterly consumed him, but – no. That was not right. He was here now, was he not? If he was here, then he had not been consumed.

The question was, where was here?

It was a place like and unlike the one that he had left. The buildings were different, and the streets were far emptier than the crowded roads of Fuyuki City. The train station itself looked worn and in disrepair. It was not a fitting reception for him, that much was certain.

His first thought was that this was the work of a Magus. But what Magus would be strong enough to send him here? Another Grail War, perhaps? No, that was not right either. He had life. He had physical form, he had incarnation. He was not here of his own free will, and so that only meant that he had been summoned, or else manipulated here for someone’s own schemes. Either way, this was an unforgivable offense, and the mere thought that someone had brought him here without his express permission was enough to make his temper flare, hot and bright.

Gilgamesh let out a short, barking laugh. Oh, whoever brought him here would pay dearly. He, Gilgamesh, King of Heroes, would see to their demise personally.

Ah, but first – and he paused, peering at his reflection in the filthy glass of the nearest window – he required clothes.

[ CANON ] Akihiko Sanada || Persona 3 Portable || Reserve || 2/4

[personal profile] southpaw_senpai 2013-05-17 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality:
Akihiko is the very definition of calm and collected 90% of the time. He approaches virtually every situation as a potential challenge and eagerly deconstructs it in order to find the most efficient solution. This conflict-oriented mindset has served him well in the past and has become second nature to him. As such he's very fast to react in response to challenges or a fight, but this also has its drawbacks. Outside of fights or direct challenges, he gives off an aloof air and can be downright oblivious to many things. His idea of 'not drawing attention to oneself' - for instance - is not doing anything that would normally draw attention to himself, regardless of what he may or may not be wearing. This obliviousness is most observable during his interactions with women. In high school, he had a fairly large group of girls that would repeatedly make advances toward him, and he never took the hint.

When in the company of friends, Akihiko is very much the big-brother figure. He is constantly checking up on the younger members of SEES to make sure they weren't neglecting their studies, or helping where he can with homework and the like. He will occasionally crack a joke, but his attempts at humor usually fall flat. He tries to be as good a role model as possible, but can be easily manipulated when someone phrases what he would consider a really bad idea in terms of a challenge. He often gets roped into the antics of Junpei - a fellow SEES member - into doing things he normally wouldn't. When talked into these situations, he's quick to get flustered or even panic depending on just how far out of his normal comfort zone he's straying.

Throughout his live, Akihiko has lost many people close to him. He and his sister were orphaned at an extremely early age, his sister later died in a fire at their orphanage, his best friend - Shinjiro Aragaki - died protecting another friend, and then his girlfriend at the time sacrificed herself to save the world from a Death Goddess. How he handled these losses slightly changed over time, but the basic procedure is the same. He begins to internalize the loss as somehow being his fault, leading him to chastise himself for not being strong enough to protect them. He then begins to train harder than ever, until he is close to collapsing from exhaustion. With the death of Shinjiro, however, he realized that his training was an attempt to run away and distance himself from others so as not to be hurt when something happened again. After this realization, he copes with loss quite a bit better. He came to terms with why and how both Shinjiro and Minako sacrificed themselves, though keeping up his training - though not to the extremes he would push himself before - as pledges to them that he wasn't going to let similar things happen to anyone else if he could help it.

All in all, Akihiko is an extremely sensitive and sentimental young man. He cherishes his friends above all, going so far as to think of them as extended family, and would gladly do anything for each and every one of them. His rough exterior was originally an attempt to distance himself from others to keep from getting hurt if something should happen, but he has since done away with that line of thinking. The aloof air and rough exterior is now more of a byproduct of his near obsessive training regimen and challenge-oriented outlook. He has accepted that he will eventually lose some of the people he cares for, and while he strives to protect them with all his power, he has learned to cherish every moment he can get as well.

[ CANON ] Akihiko Sanada || Persona 3 Portable || Reserve || 3/4

[personal profile] southpaw_senpai 2013-05-17 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Strengths/Weaknesses: Akihiko has spent most of his free time honing his mind and body to as close to perfect as he can get them. He is an extremely skilled boxer, and has learned to read the movements of his opponents to anticipate their moves and react accordingly. He is fairly agile, and can easily close distances between himself an an opponent, though once within arm's reach he tends to focus more on trading blows rather than avoiding attacks. His training regimen does border on obsession, and a lot of times he tends to equate otherwise unrelated scenarios to tactical advantages or somehow relate them to a fight. As such, he can be pretty oblivious to subtle nuances in social interactions.

Abilities: In addition to being an extremely skilled boxer, he can summon a Persona to augment his skills. His Persona, Caesar, can summon lightning strikes that can strike with surgical precision, or blanket an area with lightning. However, because of Akihiko's focus on physical prowess, his lightning strikes are not as powerful as the physical side of his Persona's abilities. Caesar can augment Akihiko's physical strength, but at the cost of his physical endurance.

[ CANON ] Akihiko Sanada || Persona 3 Portable || Reserve || 4/4

[personal profile] southpaw_senpai 2013-05-17 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
First Person:

[Akihiko steps off the train, taking quick stock of his surroundings before checking that all his belongings are still on him. When he notices the pocketwatch, he takes it out and inspects it. Upon opening the watch, he notices it's not a normal pocket watch. He fiddles with the device for a moment before just sighing in confusion and dropping his arm, despite having activated the video recording by accident.]

Something is wrong here... I was in the limo heading back to Iwatodai... [He goes silent as if realizing something. He puts a finger to his ear more out of habit than any real necessity.] Mitsuru? Fuuka? ...Anyone there? ...Damn... looks like I'm on my own for the moment. Just gotta hope they're alright. What am I saying? Of course they're fine. Aigis and Labrys were with them too... not to mention Mitsuru's gotten better since I saw her in action last... A lot faster too... If I'm not careful, she might actually surpass me. Still... first thing's first... Better get a better idea of just where I am first.

Third Person: Akihiko was never one t sit still for very long. After a couple minutes of trying to piece together just what happened to have him wake up on a train, and subsequently find himself here, he had no satisfactory answer and his muscles were starting to ache for action. As such, he picked a direction and broke off into a jog, shadowboxing as he ran. He ignored the looks he got as he passed by. He reasoned that there must not be any serious boxers around. That was the reason people were looking at him weird. Not like his cape or lack of clothes other than his pants were what was turning heads. After some aimless wandering, Akihiko turned a corner and was greeted with the park.

Figuring it would be easier for him to think without causing too much of a scene while running in the park, he eagerly entered. It wasn't long, however, before he slowed his pace into a walk. There was something... off here. Sure the park looked normal enough at first, but he couldn't help thinking he was being watched, or followed. Every so often, he would glance over his shoulder, thinking he heard a twig breaking or a bush rustling behind him. He scolded himself for being paranoid before picking up his pace once again.

After another couple minutes of jogging, he was convinced that something was following him. Now that his pace had picked up, he could hear clearly heavy footfalls behind him matching his pace. Whatever it was following him, it was big. Much bigger than any normal person. When he decided to confront his pursuer, he couldn't help but feel a smirk form on his face as he saw the large wolf-man like creature lumbering toward him. The two squared off for a moment, the Park Monster roaring as it came to a full stop.

"Tch, such bad breath you have," Aki said, with a smirk as he pulled his Evoker from where it was holstered under his arm. "Looks like this place will be more interesting than I thought..." He paused as he put the muzzle of the 'gun' to his head and pulled the trigger. "Let's show this overgrown fur-ball what we're made of, Caesar!"

CHARACTER
Name: Daenerys Targaryen
Canon: Game of Thrones
Age: In the show, approximately 17.
Timeline: Post 3x04: "Dracarys"
.

Personality: It's said that the gods flip a coin every time a Targaryen is born, and the world holds its breath to see if it's going to land on the side of greatness or madness. Daenerys, also known as Dany, is not just a Targaryen, but the last Targaryen, and her coin barely teetered before it fell into her own magnitude. She started out as a pawn, timid and shy, but upon her marriage to Khal Drogo, a leader of a khalasar, a massive group of horselords across the Narrow Sea, Dany began to take the mantle of power like a true queen--a khaleesi. As a Targaryen, Dany was born with a certain sense of pride that could become her downfall--she believes ultimately that she deserves to win the Iron Throne, because her fathers had it first. Being a Targaryen connotes a certain old pride--Dany speaks High Valyrian, and she was, in fact, a product of incest in order to keep their bloodline "pure"--and brave leadership. She came to show her true Targaryen colors as a very capable leader, making decisions and acclimating into the strange culture of the khalasar gracefully. In fact, much of Dany's life is about her rising above obstacles--she was raised by her abusive brother, and went from what basically amounted to being a sex slave to a queen.

When her husband died, Dany took matters into her own hands. In an act of furious desperation, she paid for a witch to try and save his life. The witch tricked her, and she not only lost Khal Drogo, but her unborn son, and Dany didn't take this lightly. Daenerys is a dragon, and this is repeated over and over in the series; her wrath is terrifying and true, and she exacts her vengeance on the witch by literally tying her, alive, into the funeral pyre and setting the whole thing ablaze. Daenerys' temper is notably fierce, a true Targaryen trait and certainly something that doesn't appear at her first polite glance, and her entire rise to her eventual goal, the Iron Throne, is an act of revenge. Her family was unseated by Roberts Rebellion, the current king, and her father and mother were killed, leaving only her and Viserys, the aforementioned brother to live in exile, forever in fear of being killed again. Daenerys was nearly assassinated by King Robert early on in her career as Khaleesi, and despite his death, the attempts have only barely slowed.

After Khal Drogo died, Dany started to lead the khalasar by herself. The loss that she'd suffered did little to discourage her from stopping in her plans--they rarely did. Her brothers death lead to the realization of who was actually the "blood of the dragon"; Khal Drogo's death lead to her ruling her khalasar. She gave a rousing speech that showed off her true character--not just her rage, her passion, her desire for the throne, but her charisma. The people of the khal did not all desert her, despite the fact that she's a female in an absolutely male dominated world. Instead, she promised to lead them to greatness, with the dragons that had been born out of an act of fearlessness, having literally walked into a fire to hatch the three eggs she'd been given at the beginning of her reign as khaleesi.  She promises to raise her khalasar out of what basically amounted to perdition, and eventually, she does; her devotion to them is just as strong as theirs to her, and she's fiercely protective over them as well as her three dragons, almost a mother bear in that aspect. Dany is, however, willing to work with her dragons as bargaining chips--in the point she's being taken from, she just offered up one of her dragons, only to completely trick the man who tried to take them in exchange for his slaves, and not only did Dany get to keep her dragon, but she freed the slaves and murdered the slave traders who treated them like dirt for so long. She's spent so much of her life under her brother's heavy hand that she empathizes with those who suffer, and moments like this--moments of compassion, where she tries to feed water to a dying man or taking a young woman from a slave trader's side because she deserved so much better than how she was treated, are the traits that make her the best contender for the Iron Throne. Where others are ruthless, Daenerys can be kind, but where others are soft, she can strike with "fire and blood", the words of her noble house. Most of all, though, she's able to learn from her mistakes. Everything she did against the magi witch served not only as a harsh display of her temper but as a learning experience, and when one of her closest servants revealed he was originally sent to spy on her, Dany takes no time in dismissing him. She's wary with her trust--those competing for it are many, but those who get it are few. Much of her thinking can be in black and white, as well; those who oppress are bad, and those who don't are good. Part of that is a sense of naivete that comes from being young, and even as she grows into her own as queen, Dany has yet to learn that not everything can be good and bad.

Daenerys' determination is steely to say the least; she doesn't give up on anything, and despite the fact that many of her people were starving, she fought to find them somewhere safe to go.  She shows herself as capable to make her own decisions, a powerful female figure in a world of courtesy and court politics, terror inducing, yet benevolent, kind hearted yet heavy handed.

[ CANON ] daenerys targaryen | game of thrones | reserve 2/2

[personal profile] motherof 2013-05-18 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Background: I am the blood of the dragon.

Strengths:
Daenerys' most important strength is her leadership. She's fought from being an exile, going from place to place, to commanding an army of thousands, including three dragons, former slaves, and horselords, and very few of these warriors came because she beat them in battle. Rather, they came to her because they adored her, or she lifted them from oppression (although these lines certainly cross); her charisma is incredible, and she has a way about her that inspires people to follow. Dany comes across as a mother to many, as well.  She's also very good at adapting to various situations, and because she's lived from place to place for so long, is good at learning new situations quickly and taking whatever life throws at her. Her compassion is widespread and her heart is gentle, she's clever in her own right, and, oh yeah, she can walk through fire. But more on that in the abilities section. Dany's also very goal oriented, and her independence and determination combined can get her far.

Weaknesses:
By far, her biggest weakness is her temper. She's fierce and angry when provoked enough, and the wrath of the dragon is true. Dany is also vengeful and prideful, and these two things are certainly straws on her downfall pile. Her naivete makes it difficult for her to see anything beside good and bad and black and white.

Abilities:
♦ Daenerys' biggest ability is that well, she can walk through fire. Literally. Known as the Unburnt, Dany can touch pretty much anything hot without it even scalding her. No one knows quite why--it's not a Targaryen trait, so maybe it's literally the blood of the dragon.

First Person:

[ Daenerys Targaryen can't even bring herself to be horrified at the thing she's riding. It's moving and metal, and when she first stands, she stumbles, the fabric of her blue dress catching on one of the arms of the train seats. No, what she's truly worried about is what's missing. Missandei, Ser Jorah, Ser Barristan--despite running up and down the length of the car, she's found no sign of any of them, nor the rest of her khalasar.

What could have happened to them--more importantly, what would they do without her? The thought pained Daenerys enough that she stopped, hand catching on one of the seats and looking from left to right. She'd taken them across the sea, sacked Astapor, and left them.

And--her dragons. With a horrified gasp, Dany whips her head to where she was sitting, something in her tensing up then instantly relaxing at the sight of Drogon sitting on the seat, curled up into a ball and blowing smoke from his nostrils. She hurries beside him and smooths a hand over his head, then sits down in her seat, shell shocked enough that her legs almost give out.

Her khalasar could be anywhere, her other two dragons, her children in the wrong hands. And as the train stops, Dany walks off automatically, not even thinking about her movements, Drogon flying up to perch on her shoulder. And it's at that moment that she discovers the strange metal thing tucked into her dress-- a  Myrish eye, perhaps--and Daenerys holds it up and looks at the screen, unbidden in her curiosity. It waves back and forth in front of her, broadcasting the face of an ethereal young blonde; but before she can say anything, or discover it's reflecting her for a reason, Drogon makes a displeased noise and lets loose a blast of smoke in the feed, and she hurries to soothe him, shutting the feed in the process. ]

Hush--hush, Drogon--

Third Person:

The last time Ser Jorah had spoken badly in front of Daenerys Targaryen, it had been in front of a slaver in Astapor. As a queen--a khaleesi--Dany was supposed to command complete and total attention, admiration, and respect, simply through her presence, action, and being. Most of this trip had been biting things back--her pride, as the slaver ruthlessly insulted her (called her a Westerosi whore) in her mother tongue, her temper as he lashed out at the Unsullied in front of her. But all Dany could do was sit and wait, smile dumbly and speak through an interpreter, as if she didn't know exactly what the slaver truly thought of her.

This trip had been pretending to hide her true intentions, as well, and Ser Jorah insulting her decision had been the ultimate test. Dany held her tongue, simply shot him a cool look as he stared at her, "Khaleesi--", and pretended that she was completely okay with selling one of her precious dragons, her children to this foul man. Ultimately, when Daenerys had made her decision in the acquisition of an army of slaves, she had to do what it took to succeed her khalasar to the Iron Throne.

And what it took was lying to Ser Jorah. Masking the truth, as it were. Because as Daenerys stood before the crowd of slavers, suddenly, every hit to her pride didn't matter. The blood of the dragon stirred as Drogon flew high over her head, as if he was going to the slaver's side, and with revenge on her mind on a smile on her lips, she opened her hand and gave the command for her slaves--no longer slaves, men freed of their slavery but obedient to her rule--to kill those who enslaved them before, who treated them wrongly. And for her dragon, she simply said one word.

"Dracarys."

Rhaegar would have been proud, she couldn't help but think, as she took Astapor with fire and blood.

CHARACTER
Name: The Captain (No canon verified name)
Canon: Hellsing
Age: 100+ Years
Timeline: Post-Death, after his body burned away.
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: N/A

Personality: Ah, what can be said about the Captain's internal landscape? How much can you really know about a man who says nothing, expresses little facially, and has no information given on his own past by the mangaka? Surprisingly, you can actually glean quite a bit.

First off the bat, the Captain was a death-seeker. Seriously. It's probably his most easy to pin down trait, and the very thing he stuck with Millennium for so long for. The entire reason he joined them. The Captain was looking to find an opponent with a chance of ending his life in a true battle. Humans obviously weren't strong enough to do it. He needed an inhuman opponent, and Alucard refused to fight him the first time they met, preferring to let Walter face him. Thus when Millennium went underground, The Captain went with them, to wait for his next chance. To wait so many decades under the promise of eventual demise says a lot for how badly he was after it. Then there's the matter of his destruction, facilitated by Seras Victoria. The Captain not only gave her the silver necessary to kill him, he gave her time to recover when he could have easily finished her off. Even though Seras caught him in a setup for the final blow, where he could have easily turned to mist to escape, he chose to stay solid long enough for her to kill him. When he finally died, we saw the first true emotion on his face. An honest, relieved smile. Happy to finally be at an end.

The Captain also had somewhat of a sense of honor. When he fought Walter, he only used his half-wolf form when Alucard intervened, to off-set the two-on-one advantage. Though his vampire colleagues killed many civilians, the Captain himself killed none, only seeking out the strongest super-human opponents in the battlefield. When he did end up having to stop Heinkel from interfering in a battle between Alucard and Walter, he chose to simply give her a superficial injury. Then he gave her a medical pack and shook his head, cautioning her to stay out a battle humans couldn't survive before leaving her be. It also ties into his wish for death. If he wanted to die by silver, surely he could have done it at any time. Instead, he chose it to be in battle, and only by an opponent who could match him in power. He also believes in the binding power of ones given duty, as he faithfully protected the Major and followed his orders as given, both in World War 2 and long after. He even directed Integra on where to find the Major.

Digging in a bit further, it could be surmised that the Captain may have been intensely lonely. Alucard himself had said that he thought that the werewolves are all but extinct, and that the Captain was an anomaly like himself. He also stated that he was probably around a century old, perhaps older than even that. The Major said that the Captain was "a werewolf from the start". Adding this to his silence and intensely stoic, almost alien presence, it's more than likely that the Captain was a werewolf from his birth, rather than a human that was changed into a monster. Even in the presence of other monsters, the Captain was utterly alone. After a long enough time of that, who wouldn't seek some kind of end to it?

Much of the Captain's behavior, such as his silent stalking, locked gaze, and the fact that he only expresses visible and audible emotion when he's transformed into a full wolf, also points to him being utterly inhuman. Put simply, he's more wolf than person. While intelligent, he doesn't think or speak how humans do, nor does he seem to have any desire to. His human form is just a shawl he throws on to move about with the rest of the humanoids.

Background:
http://hellsing.wikia.com/wiki/The_Captain
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/MillenniumNazis (Under "The Captain" heading)

Strengths/Weaknesses: Mentally, the Captain is nearly unflappable. Nearly, but not entirely. In the past, Alucard was able to taunt the Captain enough to get him to attack by comparing him to a dog and barking at him childishly. Aside from this one outburst, he's never really shown any anger in his human form. Just an intense, laser-like focus. For the entire fight with Seras, his expression is void of any real emotion until the very end.

Physically, he shares the same silver weakness as most werewolves in fiction have. It seems to be the only thing capable of actually killing him. Or at least the only thing introduced in Hellsing canon.

His cool-headedness and devotion to his duty are his main mental strengths. Do you have any idea how unnerving it is to throw everything you've got at an opponent, only for him to keep coming with no real sign of discomfort?

Abilities: The Captain is a werewolf, which naturally comes with certain advantages.

His strength is the most noticeable. He has a punch strong enough to destroy whole limbs in a single strike, kick aside a thrown missile with a sweep of his leg, and beat Seras senseless to the point where even her vampiric regeneration has trouble keeping up with the damage, including kicking her through several layers of the ship.

In terms of speed and agility, Captain has proven that he can pour it on when he needs to. Normally he's content to move at a moderate pace. Upon realizing he had to get to another scene of battle quickly, he kicked into high gear, rebounding off buildings so quickly that he was barely seen. When Walter attacks him both in the past and present, he is able to both avoid and catch Walter's wires with relative ease.

The Captain's flesh is durable enough to resist even Walter's wires, which can cut through wood, flesh, bone, and steel with equal ease. The wires can penetrate his flesh, but seem unable to bind him or slice to the bone. He's also resistant to most small arms fire-power. During the London attack he leaps from a derrigible and hits the ground full-force, with no damage.

While not explicitly stated, his ability to sense things going on far away implies heightened senses, just as his vampiric comrades and enemies have.

One of his more bizarre powers is the ability to transform into mist. A werewolf trait exclusive to Hellsing lore. He can avoid attacks or negate physical injury simply by becoming a mist and reforming elsewhere.

Like any good werewolf, he can also change his body at will. UNLIKE many good werewolves, he isn't bound to the full moon, nor does the change hamper him. He can shift between human, wolf-man, and dire wolf forms as smoothly as slipping into a fresh suit.

On top of all that, the Captain is a soldier. A well-trained one at that. His fight with Seras isn't some wreckless dust-up, but a series of focused strikes taken from a well-practiced defensive stance. His skill with his long-barreled mauser pistols is also likely a product of his training.

First Person: [The video feed is a little shaky at first, kicking on and off as the Captain taps at buttons, trying to figure out the little display. When he finally thinks it might be recording, he stares at it for a bit, as if expecting a reaction. Then he taps out a few words.]

Unknown place. Unknown circumstances. Requesting information on location. Requesting information on captors. I do not belong in this place. I will find out who is responsible for this.

This is not the afterlife, it cannot be. If compensation is required, I will repay the favor. All that is needed is information and nothing more. Respond.

[With his message sent, he goes back to looking at the device, still and silent as a statue. His eyes are an unsettling red, completely unblinking.]

Third Person: To wake up in a situation like this might have gotten a rise out of anyone else. Led to confused shouting, jumping about, and probably a few curses here and there. Not to him, though. As in all things, he analyzed. Studied. Committed his surroundings to detail by extending his senses. All while staying completely serene. The accumulated scents on the train, the rumble of the rails under his feet, the clack of the metal-on-metal, they all echoed in his head. Answers would come eventually. He just had to see where this was going.

As the train stopped completely, he walked out, taking note of his surroundings. London was behind him, now. Though he couldn't hear or pick up on he sounds of any nearby people, he also didn't have the smell of blood, gunpowder, and corroded metals in his nostrils. So the area was at least peaceful and not touched by the great war.. He had been so close. Why was he denied his final rest, only to end up here? Where even was "here"? For once, even his senses were somewhat muddled. It all frustrated him.

The Captain looked at himself as he passed a mirror. Not so much as a mark. The place where the silver should have been was completely unmarred, though his dog-tags were still missing. At least he had his pants and boots on. He didn't much care about modesty, but a man of his size walking around naked tended to draw attention. He didn't need that right now. Too much to find out. He had to know what went wrong.

As he idly wandered the empty streets, something bumped against his thigh from inside his pocket. He reached in, pulling out a small, round trinket. A smattering of messages came on screen as he opened it, causing him to cock an eyebrow in curiosity? What kind of human device was this? He tapped at it a few times, then decided to close it. Another mystery he had to figure out. Who could have slipped this into his pocket without him knowing? That was no easy feat, nor was putting him on a train without his knowing. Perhaps they were also responsible for his resurrection.

A familiar, but not oft-used feeling coursed through his mind. Anger. If they were responsible for all of this, they would have to answer for it. He swore it. It was time to hunt.
