A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

[personal profile] demon_prosecutor 2012-04-27 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
Personality: Miles comes off as a ruthless and amoral man to some. When the player/audience first met him in Ace Attorney he was a cutthroat prosecutor who was reputed to do anything for a guilty plea. He was shown to request extra tests, even a second autopsy in an Ace Attorney case simply to prove a point and eliminate the defense’s case. He is very stubborn and rarely gives up on his case even when he is clearly losing to the defense. He has shown through his cases to have a very clear understanding of the case before trial starts [in this game’s universe, trials are conducted almost immediately after a crime has occurred] and he uses this to his advantage to prolong the trial and make himself survive a long time in court. The defense doesn’t win over him easily, it’s a long battle. Nearly every case in the series featuring him as the prosecution lasts the full three days allotted for a trial.

Previously noted, it’s apparent that Miles is very smart. In Trials and Tribulations he was noted as a ‘genius’ before he even debuted in court. This is due largely to his upbringing. Contrary to belief that Miles is an evil person, he was simply raised by an evil person masked as a good one. The story goes back to Miles’ childhood [the fourth case shown in Ace Attorney]. He was being raised by his father, Gregory Edgeworth, an astute defense attorney. His father revealed that a rival prosecutor, Manfred von Karma [a legendary flawless prosecutor in the game’s universe] was actually withholding and fabricating evidence to win all his trials. This sent Manfred into a rage and he murdered Gregory Edgeworth, taking his son Miles in as his own. Miles barely recalls the incident but it haunts him to present day. He is triggered into panic by earthquakes [which happened at the time of his father’s murder] throughout the series.

This is all revealed in the fourth case of Ace Attorney. Miles was previously illustrated as a character who wanted a guilty verdict and a perfect record, not necessarily justice. He was shown to withhold certain truths [including evidence, certain possible motives, and the identity of Dahlia Hawthorn all in Case 1 of Trials and Tribulations] for the sake of keeping the defense as ignorant as possible. It is clear he does his ‘homework’ on all his cases and has every possibility accounted for so he can easily withhold information to make his case more convincing. As such he is often shown grimacing or even growling when a witness throws him a curveball and ‘remembers’ something on the stand. However despite being raised by a corrupt lawyer to be a corrupt lawyer, he is still a truthful person deep down.

In the third case of Ace Attorney, the defendant was innocent but the testimony of the last witness, Dee Vasquez, was eluding the Defense. Miles should have simply taken his win and been happy but he objected and demanded the witness testify again, knowing he would lose because of this. He chose to lose in order to reveal the truth. This happens again with Case 5 of the same game in which a corrupted Chief of Police has covered up crimes for years and Miles worked along with the defense in court to question the witnesses in order to reveal the truth; again, sacrificing a win on his record for this.

Miles is very withdrawn, he is a man of very few words outside the courtroom. This is confirmed to be due to his upbringing, having to be ‘perfect in every way’ which leads to short precise statements, as well as his father’s murder. He blamed himself for that crime his whole life and seemed to be punishing himself in a way. He rarely ever said anything more than what was necessary as a professional. The end of Ace Attorney shows him yelling ‘whoooo’ for New Years after being misinformed about customs, and then walking away humiliated. He is a thorough man, but a wounded one, one that seeks truth above his own success.

First Person:

[He was more or less settled for the moment in a café. Anyone who wandered by him would see a clear scowl on his face. He was not at all happy about being as clueless as he was about this place. He couldn’t find a single lead other than this watch, which upon further inspection wasn’t a watch at all]

Interesting…

[he fiddled with it a while and decided he liked it. It went well with his suit honestly. It could only be improved if it were Steel Samurai themed but regardless, he had to focus on getting home. So first he had to know how far from home he was]

Ah, I believe I have hit record on this device… please… if anyone here is aware, can someone explain to me just where we are? I am unfamiliar with the location ‘Ruby City’. Are we in America?

[he hated sounding stupid but… well when you were lost you couldn’t save pride]

Third Person: Where is this place? He didn’t recognize it or the name. Ruby City… was this some sort of resort? He didn’t take any time off… strange. No actually this was rather disturbing. No Detective Gumshoe around, normally that would be a relief but the presence of the airheaded cop would actually be a relief right now. He was alone and on further inspection his items seemed to be untouched, including his wallet but that didn’t do much to comfort him. He had been taken to a place by someone. Someone who had no need for his identity or his money so that left his life and his talents. Or his value as a bargaining chip.

He wasn’t involved in any cases lately that could have logically turned into a kidnapping; in fact most of his cases were nearly finished at the moment. Perhaps he had merely gotten on the wrong train? But he was so sure he was in his car before… it was all rather fuzzy. He frowned as he came to understand how little he knew about how he got here; nothing. And for some reason his phone wasn’t working. He couldn’t even call Gumshoe to his side. As annoying as he was, he was doggedly loyal. He’d never let Miles go missing forever if he could help it. He could just imagine the man yelling ‘Hold it Pal!’ now.

This wasn’t the time to start thinking he was in danger. He likely was but panic didn’t suit this situation. Rather he should calmly reflect on what he knew and observe for some clues. He could solve his way out of this mystery in due time and exploration. He gathered his belongings and did his very best to appear unbothered as he casually strolled the streets looking for clues as to his whereabouts.

Re: [CANON] Tom Riddle || Harry Potter || reserve || 2 of 3

[personal profile] you_know_who 2012-04-27 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Personality:

Born and raised in an orphanage, Tom knew from an early age that he was different to the other children, able to perform feats of magic that he used to torment and torture the other orphans, to the point that he once took two of them to a cave and performed an act so horrifying that they were traumatised into silence. Even before enrolling in Hogwarts, Tom was capable of Legilimency and Occlumency, using his talents to toy with people’s minds while keeping his own shielded. He was also able to ‘speak’ to animals, and is a Parselmouth – possessing an ability to speak to snakes passed down through the bloodline of his mother’s side.

Tom’s personality is composed of two facets – the side the he presents to everyone, and the reality.

On the surface, he would seem to be a charming, handsome and polite young man. He gained a reputation in Hogwarts through his intelligence and appearance of being a model student, seen as ‘poor, but brilliant’. His lack of parents inspired a sympathy in others, leading to him being viewed as brave, with only Albus Dumbledore remaining suspicious of him.

However, behind that quiet, charismatic façade, Tom Riddle is an ambitious, cruel and sadistic young man believing in the superiority of pure-blood wizards and witches despite being a half-blood himself. This hypocritical view comes from his being ashamed of his family, from his muggle father to his pure-blood mother, who he sees as weak and unworthy. He clings to his familial connection with Salazar Slytherin as a conformation of his own self-worth, after discovering that he is descended from the House founder.

Arrogant and megalomaniacal to the point of sociopathic, Tom is possessed of a Machiavellian personality which he uses to its utmost to manipulate those around him. He is a liar, and a hypocrite, often expecting of others what he would not do himself, putting his ‘allies’ into harms’ way and disposing of them like toys when he has no further use for them, having very little concern for the effects that his actions may have upon others – only whether or not they will be beneficial to him. He easily dismisses things which have no (perceived) value, such as softer emotions like kindness and love, a trait which would be to his detriment later in his life.

He will keep his word when it suits him to do so and as long as it doesn’t get in his way, or if the person asking is of a certain level of usefulness to him at that given moment. While he can acknowledge the mistakes that he makes he doesn’t seem to learn from them, and he will become very unpredictable when angry, swinging from calm and composed to an explosion of fiery rage within moments. He becomes uncomfortable, even fearful when things around him begin to slip beyond his control, and is not above cowardice in situations where it would benefit him.

Tom has an almost pathological fear of death, believing it to be the utmost of human weakness. While attending Hogwarts he became obsessed with the idea of immortality and how he could attain it, and he also discovered his lineage and his status as the Heir of Slytherin. It was through this revelation that he found the entrance to Salazar Slytherin’s Chamber of Secrets.

Unfortunately, he has found himself whisked away to Ruby City before he was able to open it…

[personal profile] you_know_who 2012-04-27 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
First Person:

[Tom is frustrated. The early morning finds him, as usual, stalking the dusty corridors of the city’s library, searching for something. Any questions as to what he is looking for thus far have been met with a snarl and a sneer]

I hate it here.

[He spits out the words out to the empty, silent space with all the ferocity that a sixteen year old adolescent can muster, and drops another armful of books onto one of the large tables. The dust that the weight of the tomes creates swirls around him for a moment, until he wafts at it.

This would simply not do. He was going to get out of here. Somewhere in this library there had to be a way. There had to be]

Third Person:

Getting out of the city had become something that was almost necessary for Tom Riddle. He’d taken to spending hours outside the city walls, exploring, seeing how far he could get before hunger and exhaustion pushed him back to the apartment that he’d taken to living in. He would never call it his home, but it had four walls and a comfortable bed, and it kept him clear of the various irritating people he’d managed to find in this place. His investigations through the hundreds of books in the library had thus far given him no insight into the nature of where he was being held, and he was becoming more agitated by the day.

He had been so close. So close. He knew where the Chamber was, the sacred, secret place beneath the castle built by Salazar Slytherin himself to house the means to cleanse the muggle-born from the school. Tom had found it, and now it seemed that it was forever out of his reach. It was enough to drive him to anger, and as he walked beside the lake he kicked a stone with enough force to send it skimming out over the water.

Tom was feeling more and more like a rat in a very elaborate trap. The longer he was stuck here, the more fervently he wanted to escape, and the more he came to realise that it was very unlikely that he’d be able to do so. Whoever was running this place, they were far more powerful than he… and it stuck in his throat to even think it.

[CANON] Taokaka || Blazeblue || No Reserve || 2 of 3

[personal profile] tao_is_taokaka 2012-04-27 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality:
Taokaka is a member of the Kaka clan, which are a group of genetically-modified beings who live underneath the main city called the Kagutsuchi. She’s a well-respected warrior, and most certainly one of the strongest members of the Kaka tribe. She comes across as fairly brainless and ditzy, refusing to call anyone she meets by their actual name. Suggesting that she doesn’t have the ability to remember them, or she is just far too easy going to do such. Instead, she comes up with a unique nickname for every person that she meets, basing them on their appearance, or, perhaps even their personality. She calls her teacher and friend, Litchi, ‘Boobie Lady’ thanks to the woman’s quite notable chest, as well as giving ‘Ragna’ the nickname of ‘Good-guy’ based on his personality, as well as the fact that he gave her free food.

Tao is very much a cat, despite her humanlike stature; the appearance of a tail, as well as moveable catlike ears atop the hood she wears are rather hard to miss. Besides that, Taokaka’s only desires in life seem to be to eat well, sleep a lot, and spend time with people who are nice to her. If she isn’t out and about, hunting for food or bugging her many friends for something to eat, she can be found flaked out in any available patch of sun, sleeping her life away. She’s incredibly easy-going and simple to get along with, as shown many times in the series that she will talk to and play with just about anyone. Regardless of appearance, attitude, or even how dangerous they might be. She is first sent out of her village to find and capture ‘Ragna the Bloodedge’ by her elder; a dangerous criminal whose bounty would help the Kaka clan to secure a new home. She finds Ragna, or, ‘Rawrgnya’, as she messes his name up as, and instead of fighting and capturing him, she manages to befriend him and even comes to enjoy his company quite a lot.

Tao seems to be a personification of pure innocence in many ways. A ditzy outlook, forgetful to a fault, and completely trusting of everyone she comes across, she only wishes the best for those around her. Fighting with her natural talent to protect them without any real care, or even thought, that what she could get herself into could be damaging, or even fatal, to her own well-being. So long as she sees reason to fight, she will keep going to protect those dear to her. Though, really, she’d much prefer to just share and eat food with everyone instead of fighting. Fighting, to Taokaka, isn’t something that she really actively thinks about as bad. She often refers to fighting as ‘playing’, going so far to full-on attacking her teacher, Litchi, just because she’s bored and wants something to do. Her extreme speed and stamina usually means she comes out on top, but very often she finds herself easily beaten by those who rely on pure power, like Hazama and Iron Tager, who oftentimes always manage to defeat her in battle.

Despite how brainless Tao often comes across as, she isn’t completely unable to learn. She is able to harnesses a power called ‘Siethr,’ which, described to her by her teacher, Miss Litchi, is a very powerful substance in the air throughout the world. Litchi says only very highly skilled beings with lots of training in the ways of Ars Magus can draw off the seithr in the air, and use it to utilize hellishly powerful spells and abilities. However, with no formal training nor prior knowledge to the stuff, she can use it with startling skill. It’s also notable that anyone exposed to too much siethr are at risk to being tainted by it, and almost always die. However, the members of the Kaka clan are completely unaffected by the negative effects, and it’s suggested that the natural immunity to its deadly effects might be a reason to why Tao can harness its power so naturally. Untrained in the art of fighting, her attacks are extremely unpredictable, her moves lightning-fast and without real skill. She relies on her speed and pure natural instincts to win against her opponents.

[personal profile] tao_is_taokaka 2012-04-27 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
First Person:
Hey! Heeeeeyyy, Good-guy, wait up!
[The first sound on a small hand-held, pocketwatch-like device would be the sound of a rather cheerful, bubbly individual calling out for someone. She had followed him, the man in red with the really funny hair, outside her village. He had been so badly hurt, what was he thinking of going out and wandering out when he was still all banged up? He should stay behind and eat more to get better, she thought. And walking around certainly wasn’t How you got all healed up!]
Hey, Good--

[She pauses, poking her head out of the train she had followed the good-guy onto. He was gone. Her ears flicked, a rather blank look coming over her mostly-hidden, red-eyed face. It was sunny. And bright! Not at all like that of the Kaka village, nor even the cities right above her home! Oh, it was AMAZING! She took a big step out of the train, her long-sleeved arms hanging at her sides. All memory of what she was doing three seconds prior… was gone.]
What a beautiful place—Oh, the sun! The SUN!
[Long arms come up, as the catlike… thing did a spin… before promptly flaking out on the ground right there in the middle of the train station, in a particularly nice patch of sunlight, a really very pleased look coming over her face, as she seemed to get comfortable. There was not a care in the world to where she was, or if this place could be dangerous.]

Third Person:
In the background, there was the sound of someone talking. It was a somewhat posh, scolding voice. It had said the catlike female’s name a good six or seven times, now, but the hooded cat-thing hadn’t been listening. The sound had gone over her head every single time, and she was either actively ignoring the sound—or she just couldn’t hear it. She was on her haunches, tail in the air. The bleached-white tip flicking back and forth as the grinning Kaka stalked her prey…. A single blue-winged butterfly. Both paws sat on the ground in front of her, a sharklike grill of teeth grinning as she wiggled her bottom in preparation to pounce. There was another call of her name. It went completely unheard, and the catlike woman jumped.
A loud, mewling yell escaped her, as both paws lashed forward to try to catch the single bluebell coloured insect that had been calmly sitting on the grassy patch Tao had been sleeping on moments before. The sound made the creature’s antennae flicker, and just before Tao’s paws could grab and crush the poor little bug—it flitted up and out of her reach.
Taokaka lands, belly down in the grass. Red eyes looking up as the little insect flitted away, far too out of reach for the playfully innocent cat-girl to catch it. She sits up, her shoulders slumping. Two long braids of hair curling over her shoulders. “Oh, phooey. The flutterbugs are always too gosh-darn quick for Tao. That’s hardly fair.” She complains, turning her head for the first time to look back at the woman who had been calling her. Miss Litchi—or, rather, Boobie lady, as Tao had so gracefully nicknamed her, looked rather disgruntled and upset for the fact that she had been ignored. “…Whoooa, Boobie Lady! When did you get here? Tao didn’t even see you approach! Are you getting lessons off the Scruffy man to be a ninja? Ohh-hoh-ho, It’s pre-t-ty impressive if you’re asking Tao!” she giggles, a giant paw reaching up to cover her mouth with a giggle.
Litchi was yelling again. Tao’s ears folded down, and she grinned. What the big-breasted lady was saying... It seemed like all of it was all pretty well going to fly over the young Kaka’ head. Oh well.

[Canon] Lucifel | El Shaddai | Reserved | 1/3

[personal profile] brbtalkingtogod 2012-04-28 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality:

For you to check on his personality.

Lucifel is one of Heaven’s greatest Archangels, if not the greatest of them. Despite his high position in Heaven, he is laid-back and calm all the time, even at the most desperate moments. He is shown to be cold when it comes to something like emotions or the Grigori, a group of fallen angels. (See the beginning of Chapter 8 and Chapter 1) Aside from that he always appears self-confident and is a sly guy, if not even trickster like. He stops time at some points of the game to explain something. Towards the end of Chapter 2 he is even shown breaking the 4th wall by saying the player could beat the game within a few hours, although this doesn’t happen only in the game but also in the official Manga “Exodus”, where he is seen to be holding a copy of the issue in which the serialization began.

One of the archangel’s duties when descending to earth is to simply observe and report about the progress of the mission to God via his cellphone, during his talks with the Lord he is usually trying to keep him calm and telling him not to worry. The other duty of his is to support Enoch during his mission and he does everything that would serve the purpose by supplying him with armor or a vehicle once. (During the 6th Chapter) He even suggests to serve with a better armor and (after proving to Enoch that his current armor is not good enough) provides him with the best armor he has – along with a pair of EDWIN jeans. It shows that he cares and it’s not only this, also by saying that he “is not going anywhere” after Enoch was told that he is granted immortality. And he keeps this promise, during the whole Chapter 9, which takes ten years; he doesn’t leave his side until he had recovered. Aside from that he is forbidden to interfere. Even though he is forbidden to act on his own accord, Lucifel is able to find someone to use for the purpose of returning Enoch after he fell victim to The Darkness.

In the IC interview from “Flowers for Lucifel” it is stated that he is interested in the accomplishments and development of mankind. Things such like cellphones, umbrellas and modern day clothes like jeans – especially EDWIN Jeans – hairstyling products or buildings fascinate him and hint that he is inquisitive as well. We also get to know through this interview and in Chapter 10 that God’s opinion about him is important to the archangel, it even goes so far that he is offering favors or talks down the other archangels and Enoch (he DOES say that he is impressed of his piety though) when it comes to God’s favor, except his brother Michael of whom he never speaks ill of. It’s either a sign of being a little overprotective of God’s favor, jealousy or he might even be afraid of losing God’s favor on some level.

[Canon] Lucifel | El Shaddai | Reserved | 3/3

[personal profile] brbtalkingtogod 2012-04-28 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
First Person:

[Lucifel was leaning against a wall as he reached for the ringing phone in his pocket and answered the incoming call.]

Hey, what is it? [He pushed himself of it and began to take a few steps forward.]

Nah, everything is going well...

[A chuckle left his lips a moment later. Sometimes He just amused him.]

Honestly, you worry a bit too much sometimes, you know? We are almost done down here, you just need to be a bit more patient, alright? Well then, talk to you later.

[And with that Lucifel ended the call.] He shouldn’t worry so much all the time, it doesn’t do him good.

Third Person:

Red eyes gazed at the horizon that stretched out before him. From the top of the clock tower he had the best view over the entire city, looking at it like this was much better than to look at a map. Not that he had received one when he arrived at the train station, all he got was this strange watch and in exchange they took his phone. Not a very nice thing to do if you asked him.

Lucifel looked up at the sky when a raindrop fell on his face. “I didn’t expect the weather to change any time soon… Oh well.” He lifted his left hand and snapped his fingers. In a blink of an eye he held an umbrella in his right hand, ready to cover himself with it from the rain that poured down on the city now.

The archangel produced his cellphone from his pocket and sighed. Even at the highest point of the city he was unable to contact Him or vice versa. How was that even possible? How could they even cut off his only connection to God, the connection to someone who usually always knew where he was, where everything and everyone was at? “Finding out how they managed to do this will get interesting…”

Additional information about Lucifel:
Lucifel possesses the ability to travel freely through time and space, also to turn back time to his liking. For example: when Enoch fails to jump to the next platform Lucifel snaps with his fingers and skips back to the moment before he fell. During the game his powers were restricted to a minimum. If this should be a threat to the captors of the City, then feel free to keep it that way or have him only able to use his powers for traveling purposes. Another fact is that he actually isn’t visible to the most, only to those who received the blessing of the archangels, but he doesn’t possess a solid body.

Furthermore he uses his cellphone to talk with God. The reception is always good, even in the lowest levels of The Darkness. It’s very important throughout the game and for him to keep it close. Should he keep his phone then my question is the following: would he still be able to talk with Him or will he be unable to get any reception? Could his phone also function as his watch?

CHARACTER
Name: Akito/Agito/Lind (Gazelle) Wanijima
Canon: Air Gear
Timeline: Canon: Chapter 326 + Past Game(s): Legends Net + Thusia (if permitted)
If playing another character from the same canon, how will you deal with this?: n/a

Personality: Akito is optimistic, quirky, and intuitive; Akito is the most integral part of the three personalities. While he isn't a genius in tactics like Agito, he has a keen eye for details and can pinpoint their enemy's methods of attack as well as notice things about people that others miss.

He is fun-loving to the point of childishness - finding joy in the simple things that normal children had that he never did. Akito is an enthusiastic pillar of support, cheerfully going along with whatever ridiculous scheme Ikki or the rest of them come up with. Due to how he was raised and the lifestyle he lives currently, he can be considered quite socially stunted: uncertain as to what behaviors are normal and what isn't, though Kogarasumaru has helped. He also seems to have trouble distinguishing between topics that are socially acceptable or not, but this seems to be something brought on by how comfortable he is around who he's with.

Originally loud and energetic, as he grew more accustomed to his freedom and Kogarasumaru began to be a higher target for danger, Akito withdrew more into their mind. He became softer-spoken, giving Kogarasumaru his strength through Agito, though his optimism and curiosity remains intact. It could be said that he simply has matured into a young adult, since his personality has calmed down greatly.

Akito is a very informal person - never really bowing in greeting or apology. The extent of his formality extends to suffixes (specifically '-san'), which he tends to give to most people he meets until he grows more comfortable with them. He also tends to speak more properly than Agito or Lind, never cursing or swearing, and often relates things to metaphors - explaining using them as well as smilies much of the time. Additionally, he also comes across as a very practical person when the situation calls for it. For example he is well aware that he isn't strong enough to fight anymore, and so he relinquishes control to Agito without hesitation.

Generally, Akito can be found hanging out with the girls when times are more relaxed; going shopping with them, gossiping with them, and even dressing up with them. When the girls aren't around, he tends to stay quiet and listen rather than engage, though he'll jump at the chance to join in with the boys' antics, such as trashing hotel rooms or sneaking out on field trips.

In terms of interpersonal relationships, Akito is the most easy-going. He is friendly and open to playing along with whatever his peers want him to, and enjoys being supportively helpful - often giving advice in a way that allows the person to come to the proper conclusion on their own. He thrives on the company of others, though he gives up most of the time they have to hang out as friends to Agito for practical reasons. He is prone to being jealous and disdainful at times.

His most important relationships - aside from with Agito - are with Ikki and his "brother". Having been raised since the age of around six (though he would only have been a few months to a year old at the time according to what chapter 300 is saying) by Kaito, he loves him deeply despite the fear he has of him. He would defend Kaito at very high risk to himself if he had to because, even though he was severely abused, he also has many fond and happy memories with his "brother". Once learning of Kaito's real relation to him, Akito is quick to adjust to calling him 'Papa'.

With Ikki, Akito has an entirely different kind of love. He loves to kiss and cling to the other teen, proclaiming the deep romantic love he has for him through affectionate actions and the unwavering support he has in him. Without question, Akito would give his life for Ikki if asked to - and even if he wasn't. If it wasn't for Ikki he would still be locked in a cage, only dreaming of the sky.

With the rest of Kogarasumaru, Akito blends more into the background, prefering to listen and follow/join in rather than chime in and lead, though he makes himself heard when he wants to be. He learnt many of his social skills from his friends - gaining knowledge through watching and mimicking rather than asking. Because of this, his social skills are rather unconventional, though he does his best to fit in due to a want for affection he never received growing up. He seems to throw himself into relationships with others and hope for the best, which is both a strength and a weakness of his.

Agito on the other hand is short-tempered, very intelligent, and aggressive; Agito is the backbone of their personalities and is usually the one in control of their body. He's confident and careful when it comes to Parts Wars, often spending weeks planning out every aspect of a future battle, though he's quick to lose control of his emotions - especially since joining with Kogarasumaru. His tactical genius is unmatched, and his keen senses allow him to seem almost omniscient when it comes to battles... When it comes to interpersonal relationships though, he's pretty clueless.

He prefers to stay by himself rather than with his friends, unless it involves training them/with them, but doesn't venture too far from them; enjoying listening in on their conversations and being able to spout out sharp commentary when he feels like it. The boys of Kogarasumaru enjoy flustering him with teasing and the other normal quirks of friendship, embarrassing Agito to the point where he often lashes out violently, cursing and swearing to make up for it. He's gotten better at accepting friendships since joining his team, originally reacting badly when told by Kazu and Onigiri that he was considered their friend, whereas now he accepts it without question and will go out of his way to help and protect them. He still won't admit to any of these feelings, but his actions give him away to anyone observing.

For all his animalistic quirks, the strongest aspect of Agito's nature is the drive to protect the ones he cares about. He's at his most powerful when he's fighting to protect someone, which is no surprise considering that he came into existence to protect Akito. Underneath his crude and violent attitude, Agito has a very tender heart. This becomes exceptionally clear in recent chapters when he reassures Arthur and Shallot that he will get revenge on their behalf so that they can move on to the afterlife in peace. (See: 1 and 2). He also gives Lind a Fang to ride back 'home' on after the battle between them and Arthur/Shallot, since Lind doesn't have the energy left to walk back into his own area of their mind easily.

Agito's relationship with Kaito is much more complicated than Akito's, as he began to endure the brunt of the abuse after gaining consciousness. If Kaito has favourites, Agito definitely wasn't it. But it was through his brutal treatment that Agito became as strong as he did, and learnt as much as he did. Despite disliking Kaito he does hold a great respect for him. If he had wanted to, he could have escaped WIND years ago, so it says something that Agito actually stayed. As the series progresses it becomes more and more clear that Agito really does care for his 'brother', tending to his wounds after a battle and offering to help him drink when he's thirsty, since his arm no longer works.

His relationship with Ikki is less complicated than Akito's. He snarls and snaps at Kogarasumaru, fearing that being friends with them will ruin them all, but they have none of it - especially Ikki. Agito is often manhandled by him, and though he gripes about it he doesn't respond violently to it as he would in the beginning. In a way, it could be said that Agito somehow became Ikki's pet, of sorts, receiving pats on the head for doing something good, and even going so far as to hand feed him when he notes he hasn't eaten.

Agito cares deeply for Ikki (and the rest of Kogarasumaru) even if he prefers not to show it. He has a particularly interesting relationship with Yayoi, since she has a crush on him and so is around him as much as she can possibly be. Since he noticed her penchant for abilities only Tuners tend to have he began to pay a bit more attention to her capabilities. He's grown used to her presence and somewhat fond of it, though he doesn't return her romantic feelings - he simply views her as a friend, as much as he can admit to himself that any of them are friends. He saves her life during the Orca battle (~ch.185-95) though is unable to bring himself to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, instead opting to use a bamboo stick to blow air into her lungs. After Yayoi proves to be a capable Tuner for him in place of Akito he shows a more active interest in making sure she can defend herself, if only to listen in while Onigiri and Kazu teach her hand-to-hand combat to make sure they don't mess it up.

His best friend is Akira, and even with their complicated past of pain and betrayal, Agito was willing to give it all up in order to show Akira freedom again. It was in the arc where Kogarasumaru fought Behemoth that it really became evident just how loyal Agito is. He spent weeks carefully planning out how to challenge Akira's team in a way that would allow the newly-formed Kogarasumaru to win, and therefore release Akira of whatever duty he felt he had to Behemoth.

Even when Ikki ruined his plans Agito didn't back down, and was prepared to fight to his 'death' to defeat Akira, both freeing his friend from his self-imposed cage, as well as give Akito back the Regalia as his 'first and final gift' from him. After achieving what he set out to do, Agito seemed honestly happy for the first time that we're shown, and the strong, silent connection and understanding between the two Fang Kings is really revealed.

Once you gain his respect and friendship, you're stuck with a fiercely protective 'shark' watching your back.

Lind is powerful, aggressive, casual, and confident from what we've seen of him so far. His technique and physical power is more advanced than both Akito and Agito and he's entirely secure in his ability. He's not afraid to use people for his own purposes, and cares for both Akito and Agito in a strange way - protecting them and watching as they grow up into strong, independent personalities. He is the personality that Akito and Agito both originated from (Agito explaining it as Lind being a rock thrown into a pond, and he and Akito being the ripples it caused) and is therefore the first personality, like he said when he was first revealed.

He loathes being disrespected, reacting violently when forced into perverted situations, or when he loses control of the situation, and generally prefers to keep to himself within their mind. He's disdainful, could probably be described as being somewhat apathetic until more recently in the series. The only time he really shows an honest interest in being around another person is when Kaito is there, attacking the ones who hurt him and then allowing him to hold him close once the battle is seemingly over. When it comes to others, if it's not an enemy or they prove to be less than useful, he appears to deem them unimportant and not worth his time. For example, Lind saved Yayoi and complimented her, then a few pages later brushes her off when she's in danger, saying that there are 'four billion others just like her', implying that she's replaceable. Akito has described Lind as being so much more heartless than everyone, and having such a cool and calm decisiveness that it is surprising.

Of the three current personalities that make up the Wanijima son, Lind is the oldest. He is Prototype #00 - the first attempt at a 'Brain Charge', and is the original Thorn Queen. He doesn't really work in conjuction with Akito or Agito, keeping to himself as well as keeping important information from them unless it's prudent that they be informed. Lind does look out for them in his own way such as loaning his strength to Agito in a particularly difficult fight, or take the place of both of them if it's apparent that they won't win. In some ways, his treatment of Akito and Agito could be described as 'motherly' - being proud when Agito finds the strength to force him back into their mind, trying to guide them and give advice, and coming out to protect their body in difficult fights - which makes Lind's memories being that of their mother's much less surprising. (A more simple way to phrase it is that Lind is the mental clone of Gazelle. Information on the Brain Charger product can be found here).

It was revealed in chapter 301 and 302 that not only is Lind actually Gazelle, but he holds all of her memories as well - presumably including her feelings for Kaito in some way, as is evident in how he works so hard to protect him. (Compilation of pages indicating Lind is Gazelle and holds all of the memories: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Compared to her upbeat and more Akito-esque personality as Gazelle, in her life as Lind she has become much more cold and serious, resembling her lover. Lind comes across as a more learned Gazelle; he knows what the world is like now, and it's made him have a slightly more cynical view on things, or perhaps he is just a Gazelle that is lacking her 'heart', which is entirely possible. Because of Kaito's influence on his life as well as the courage their sons have shown in battle, he isn't afraid to fight and use his wings like he was as Gazelle, though the stress he puts on their body is immense. To spare their body weak body from the stress, Lind used up almost all of his own energy.

Lind is a master of the Thorn Road, but as Gazelle could never master the Fang. It was through Akito and Agito's efforts to better themselves and perfect the Fang (ref: 1) in new and more powerful ways that allows Lind to use the attack now, melding it together with his own Thorn Road to create devastatingly powerful attacks. Despite having slept for the initial years of Akito and Agito's lives, Lind is connected to them very strongly, and considers their 'Fang' the ability that connects them even further.

(I am including Lind because he is a defined personality and is therefore important to the character, but it is important to note that he rarely ever comes out, and thus the rest of the application will be focusing on Akito and Agito, as they will be the ones I will be roleplaying 99% of the time)

Akito and Agito are very co-dependent: Akito relies on Agito for his fighting ability, having lost his own skills years ago, and Agito relies on Akito for support, added strength in a pinch, as well as to notice crucial things in a fight that he might miss. While Agito is found in control of their body almost constantly in recent chapters, it is only because they are almost constantly training, in battle, or at risk of being attacked. Akito is fine with this overall, since it helps Kogarasumaru, and he knows that if he needs or wants to say something that he will be able to be heard. Lind seems to be perfectly happy with sitting back and watching the other two personalities grow and develop, though he'll step in when it seems like they can't handle a situation. Unlike Akito and Agito, he will forcefully take over if he feels like it, though this rarely happens.

Akito and Agito are always together in their mind, staying close to one another while Lind stays farther away, and are always in close mental contact. They are each other's closest companion - the one person the other could never live without. Lind has become closer with them in recent times, sharing his power with Agito and giving advice to them when he can, and Agito has grown fond of him to a point that he'll do kind and affectionate things for him (such as giving him a Fang to ride on in their mind so he could return to his area) from behind his gruff exterior.

LEGENDSNET History

Akito, Agito, and Lind spent approximately three months in the region of Sinnoh on a Pokémon trainer journey. They worked in Eterna City's bicycle shop for ten days before continuing on their journey. They made it to Snowpoint City when they were stolen away by the gods of Thusia.

Their time in Sinnoh was spent focused entirely on raising and training their Pokémon friends while searching for the way home. They made no CR that they can remember since they were traveling at a faster pace than everyone else in the game.

Due to the lack of constant human companionship, Akito and Agito both became more introverted and uncomfortable around people. They became much more in-tune with animals in general since they were exposed almost exclusively to Pokémon for the duration of their time in Sinnoh.

Their Pokémon team at the time of their kidnapping to Thusia was:

Flareon
Furret
Wigglytuff
Swellow
Gloom
Lopunny
Misdreavus
Ponyta
Scyther
Altaira
Togekiss

Upon arrival to Thusia the only items they had on them were their clothes, including their A-T, and their Flareon.

THUSIA History

In contrast to their time in Sinnoh, their time in Thusia was spent surrounded by people almost 24/7. To survive they needed to hunt with others. Their days consisted of going out training and hunting in order to get both food and items to trade the gods for other necessities (such as animal bones for clothes, etc.)

They ran into 'alternate' versions of people they knew from home, and were an 'alternate' version of the Akito and Agito that the characters from a game called Sabra la Tau knew. This upset them greatly - Akito especially - as they felt as though their existence was a disappointment to others, including a Minami Itsuki alternate that was there.

Just as they were starting to get over this, something happened and Agito went missing from Akito's mind. The rest of Akito's time in Thusia was spent training himself to learn how to fight again, as well as become more independent in order to be able to find Agito.

Akito continued having issues as more 'alternate' versions of his friends from home began showing up. He strictly classified them as 'not his', though continued to try and tentatively build friendships. Most of these failed, as none of the alternates understood why Akito continued insisting that he wasn't 'theirs' and vice versa.

He did make close friends with an OC named Aella. She pushed him to become more independent and less emotional. While she never meant for him to try and stop 'feeling' altogether, Akito did his best to do so, interpreting what she said as meaning that emotions made him pathetic.

He grew to consider her as an older sister, and would go out of his way to help her and make her happy. Anything he did that wasn't related to finding Agito was generally done to make Aella proud, or make her happy - such as throwing her a festival based off of one her people had at home.

Eventually Akito forged closer bonds with the gods of Thusia than the people, to the point where he agreed to become a 'Challenger' - a priest to the god Ur'ghaste - in exchange for a female hip structure (for less recoil damage from his fighting style), and a prehensile tail (for a fun distraction). This helped him open up to people even more, as he improved with his fighting style and began feeling more confident in himself.

Finally, a week or so before leaving Thusia, Noyamano Ringo - a friend from his world and universe - arrived. Akito clung to her, ecstatic to have someone who could validate his existence, and helped her adjust to life in Thusia. Without foolish love rivalries to get in the way they ended up forging a closer bond than they had back home, though the necessity of sharing a bed and fighting together to merely survive also played a big part in that.

If permitted to come in with his past history, I would have Akito only vaguely remember the idea of 'doubles' (like an old, half-forgotten dream), and the only people he would remember with any clarity would be the OCs, the Gods, and Ringo.

I was thinking that on his final journey to search for Agito, Akito actually succeeded and upon 'waking up' on the train to Ruby City they would find themselves reunited.

First Person:

Akito:

Um... This is somewhat of a... strange and unfortunate situation... [The voice that comes out is soft, feminine, and hesitant. Akito doesn't hold out much hope, but he has to ask anyway.]

I'm looking for my friends... They were with me before I arrived... here, so there's a chance they might have been brought here too. Their names are Minami Ikki, Mikura Kazu, Buccha, Onigiri, Udou Akira... Ah, and Wanijima Kaito too, I guess.

If any of you can hear this, this is Akito! My injuries are all healed, so there's no need to worry, if you were... I hope you're all safe, too!

[...He just wants to go home. Or wake up. Waking up would be really, really nice. Maybe everything has just been a really, really long dream.]

If anyone happens to run into any of them, if you could tell them that Akito is looking for them -- Ikki, especially! -- I would really appreciate it.

Agito:

This is one fucked up dream.

[ swings the communicator around. ]

Tch. Like something out of an indie game, but a fuckload less fun.

[ directed to the communicator: ]

Oi, magic communication watch thing. Get a tech upgrade, you piece of shit.

Third Person:

Akito doesn't expect to wake up in a train. He never expected to wake up at all.

But he does, and the rush of panic and confusion is quickly overwhelmed by a sense of relief so strong that he cries.

'...Agito?'

When for weeks there had been only silence in reply, today he gets a groggy '...Akito?'

And that's all it takes for him to lunge forward in their mind, pulling Agito in close for what would have been a bone-crushing hug if they had physical bodies. Akito feels a ghostly rush of warmth around him in his seat as Agito returns the hug, slowly realizing what had happened.

Akito doesn't need to explain anything, and Agito doesn't need to ask. They continue clinging to each other as if terrified they would be ripped apart again, though as the train ride continues they begin to slowly relax.

'Do you think this goes to our 'afterlife'?' He isn't entirely sure anymore that they did die at home, but he doesn't exclude the possibility. This situation seems like what someone could expect after dying, after all.

'No.' It's easier now for Agito to refuse the idea that they could be dead - that he could have failed Akito so horribly. 'We're still alive.'

Akito's tail twitches as Agito takes over control of it; getting a feel for the changes that were made to their body. It's comforting to him. 'Then maybe this is just a Road closer to home.'

He can feel Agito smile just a little. 'Yeah.'
