APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS

Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

✗ Canon Application

✗ Canon OC Application

✗ OC Application

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

[OC] Noa Tasi || Original || no reserve || 4 of 4

Abilities:

Noa is a were-cat, granting him the ability to turn into a giant cat. The way that were-cats work in his world is that instead of transforming on a schedule like werewolves, they tend to just....do what they want. Since they're cats and that's what they do. Noa does get more feral looking when he's angry (nails turn into claws, teeth become elongated, overall just gets hairier) but anger alone is not enough to trigger the reaction. Beyond that, he's a pretty strong dude and is very knowledgeable on how to take care of various creatures. Noa is also a huge nerd and loves books. Literary references are like his bread and butter and he loves to read. He was originally saving up to go to college and read MORE books but since the accident, he's sort of let that plan fall to the wayside.

First Person:

[ Noa tries not to regret doing certain things, he really does. Regrets just weigh you down and make it hard to focus on all the good things that happen. Unfortunately, Noa does very much regret his current situation. ]

Is ah- is anybody down there? Possibly? It would be nice if someone were....

[ He gets no reply. Hunched up high up in a tree, Noa looks at everything with a nervous expression. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear. He's a cat stuck in a tree. And that's terrible. ]

Third Person:

All things considered, suddenly appearing on a train to nowhere was less bizarre than other things Noa had heard about. He'd once read about a woman who woke up with three versions of her husband from three alternate dimensions making her breakfast in the same exact kitchen. They were very sweet (they made french toast), but still. Three husbands was a lot of husbands. Especially when they were all technically married to you.

But still. Train heading to mystery location via foggy tracks. Dubious at best, short ride to death at worst. And a cold one at that. Noa visibly shivered, ears flattening against his skull. Well, it seemed that this particular dubious train was not in South Carolina where Noa last remembered being. Curiouser and curiouser.

--Oh. It seems he's at his stop.

Exiting the train, Noa's tail lashed about, ears perked upwards in curiousity. His breath filtered through and around the thin bandana covering the lower half of his face and a visible shiver runs down his body. God damn, it is cold. He was only wearing an undershirt and work pants today; it was hot in the carolina summer. He wasn't exactly prepared for this sudden situation of Christmas in July.

His ears resumed their place against his head and his tail wrapped around his waist in some vain attempt to stay warm.

That's when he felt the sudden weight of the pocket watch. Pulling it out, his eye lights up.

"Well, this is interesting!" Clicking it open with his hand, he stares at the screen with intrigue. "I've gotta be honest, this is adorable. A pocket watch communicator. What will they think of next."

Perhaps he could get in contact with someone who could hook him up with a coat? Oh, the possibilities.

First Person

[ Noa tries not to regret doing certain things, he really does. He doesn't regret joining the circus and he doesn't regret becoming a big cat trainer and he doesn't regret spending money that could have gone towards food on new books; these are good things, things he loves, and regretting them wouldn't help anything (even if he was hungry). Regrets just weigh you down and make it hard to focus on all the good things that happen, like how the new book was fantastic and how his life would probably be as boring as can be without the cats and the circus.

Unfortunately, Noa does very much regret his current situation. All he wanted was a better view of the park is all. That's it, nothing more. Just a good looksee about to see where he was and where he could go. That's all.

Getting down was proving to be something of a challenge, though. ]

Third Person

All things considered, suddenly appearing on a train to nowhere was less bizarre than other things Noa had heard about. He'd once read about a woman who woke up with three versions of her husband from three alternate dimensions making her breakfast in the same exact kitchen. They were very sweet (they made french toast), but still. Three husbands was a lot of husbands. Especially when they were all technically married to you.

But still. Train heading to mystery location via foggy tracks was, well- dubious at best, short ride to death at worst. And a cold one at that. Noa visibly shivered, ears flattened against his skull. Well, he guessed based on the current temperature, it seemed that this particular dubious train was not in South Carolina where Noa had last remembered being. Curiouser and curiouser.

The train rolled to a stop, steam hissing and steel moaning. 'Well,' he mused, 'It seems I'm at my stop.'

Exiting the train, Noa's tail lashed about, ears perked upwards in curiousity. His breath filtered through and around the thin bandana covering the lower half of his face as a another set of shivers ran down his body. God damn, it was cold. He was only wearing an undershirt and work pants today; it was hot in the Carolina summer. He wasn't exactly prepared for this sudden situation of Christmas in July.

His ears returned to their place against his head and his tail wrapped around his waist in some vain attempt to stay warm. Better than nothing, he supposed.

This was the part where he felt the sudden weight of the pocket watch. He pulled it out, eye lighting up.

"Well, this is interesting!" He clicked it open with one hand, staring at the screen with intrigue. "I've gotta be honest, this is adorable. A pocket watch communicator. What will they think of next."
