APPLICATIONS
✗ Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
✗ IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.
In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.
[CANON] Armaros || El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron || Reserve || 2 of 3
Despite the fact that he is one of the fallen angels living in this unholy tower, Armaros seems less inclined towards dark behavior than his fellows. In fact, he’s shown to have a certain reluctance in approaching Enoch through most of the game. Only when Enoch proceeded into the tower did Armaros make his presence known, by unleashing a loud cry, one that would likely go unrecognized. While Ezekiel, Sariel, and Azazel made a point of confronting Enoch throughout his journey from floor to floor, teasing and testing him, Armaros kept to his floor until approached. Even when Enoch shows up, Armaros does not immediately fight the man, instead using his followers to slow Enoch down for some time before he dons his Watcher armor and steps in.
Their fight is interrupted partway as Belial takes Nanna—the young girl who has been helping and tagging along with Enoch—into the Darkness, thus prompting Enoch to jump in and save her. Armaros is distraught by the turn of events, and takes it upon himself to rescue the man. With a little encouragement from Lucifel, of course. Although he does succeed, he is left to be consumed by the darkness. He later reappears in a Nether form, with no control of what he’s really doing. He’s nothing more than a master piece, fused to the darkness. Enoch frees him from this form by defeating it in battle, something that even without words, he seems to thank the man for. His fate from then on is unknown, though it is stated that the Nephilim birthed by any Fallen will disappear with their “parent’s” death. Despite this, Armaros’ aquatic Nephilim lives on… (for the purposes of this game, OBVS he is alive. |D; )
Before he Fell, Armaros and Enoch had been familiar with each other, enough to be considered friends. He openly took an interest in Enoch’s experiences on earth, and enthusiastically questioned the scribe as to what he “saw” and “heard.” He also appears to have a fondness for song and dance after this experience—in which Enoch taught him rather awkwardly how to dance, and complimented him on his singing voice—as evidenced by his entrance in the seventh chapter of the game, where he does not come out fighting, but dances on a stage in flashy clothing.
Sadly, his Fall affected him negatively, and Armaros is no longer able to speak, much less sing. He can only articulate in a sort of mournful cry, but there is no way for him to form words.
Through his interest and questioning of Enoch in the past, it’s shown that Armaros was, in fact, very excitable and enthusiastic when concerning the human realm. It’s hardly surprising that he followed Semyaza’s lead and ended up descending for the love of humans and their world. He is not a bad person however, and while he is a part of the Grigori, he will not antagonize an enemy nor overpopulate his floor with an abundance of Nephilim (the result of a union between human and angel). In fact, there is only one Nephilim on his floor worth noting, and it is a giant sea-beast.
Though he will not fight if needed, this shouldn’t be mistaken for lack of abilitiy. Armaros is a very capable fighter. He will use his bare hands and abilities where needed, and he can summon his Watcher armor at will. As stated in-game, he was very capable of defeating Enoch before his fall, and can still put up a serious fight. Armaros does not use weapons either. Nor does he really have to.
[CANON] Armaros || El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron || Reserve || 3 of 3
He looks around curiously, but alertly. He’s seen stranger things than this, but it would not do to act recklessly. That hadn’t served him well in the past. More out of habit of wanting to say something, Armaros lets out a low sound much like a lamenting moan, which echoes off the walls of the train station.
He walks around idly, eventually catching sight of the posters and regarding them with mild interest before realizing that he was a little..pocket-heavy. Finding the watch, it’s a simple task for him to get it working. Again, sped-up evolution and such. Humans were so ingenious, truly, to recreate this technology in their own time, as he assumes they must have. It takes him a few minutes to figure out how to use the text function—perhaps he might have ineffectually turned the video on, not that it mattered. Armaros was quite incapable of speech. So he types out his question.]
Where am I?
Third Person: As he lay in wait, on his own personal floor, Armaros was left much time to think. Enoch’s progress since the three hundred year search for the Watcher’s Tower was…dare he venture to say, godly?
No, he wouldn’t venture to say that at all. Even if he could speak. Enoch was something else entirely, a man who intrigued him with all of his mannerisms, the way he behaved. So very like the holy beings he was surrounded with, and yet so very human at the same time. Even as a Fallen Angel of the Grigori, Armaros could not think ill of the man who hunted his kind down with the intent to seal them all away. Himself included.
He was fond of the scribe, very much so, and wished dearly that they could continue from where they had left off. Armaros knew so much more about humans now, their willfulness, their ability to adapt and their boundless creativity. Somehow though, he would trade that information for one thing. For the ability to go back to simpler times as one of God’s beloved Angels, able to speak again and ask Enoch all of the questions that he liked, because as an Angel who was to deny him?
Armaros had made his decision however, and in exchange for his fall, a most painful feeling in and of itself, he had gained all of the knowledge on man that he could ever have wanted.
Pity it cost him his voice. He opened his mouth slightly, and tried to speak a single word.
Fuuoooon…
A bitter smile tugged at his lips. He had been so fond of dancing. And Enoch…had told him what a beautiful singing voice he had too…

PLEASE BE AWARE: THE CITY IS CURRENTLY IN THE MIDST OF AN EVENT.
So, instead of entering via train(as would be normal), this is the scenario all new residents will face if you choose to intro them at this time:
[...You wake up lying on a beach, the sound of the sea in your ears. Above you, the sky is a pure, brilliant blue, with nothing but a few wisps of cloud drifting lazily across it. The city – and indeed the entire world that contained it – is gone, replaced by an idyllic island, surrounded on all sides by a vast, sapphire ocean. The sand on the beach where you find yourself is a pure, almost too-clean white, scattered here and there with perfect conch and auger shells. Upon turning away from the sea to look at the island itself, you will find yourself viewing something which is nothing short of a paradise.
The beach stretches away in both directions until it curves around each side of the island, and borders a lush-looking forest which slowly rises to cover three low mountains. Over the softly rushing sound of waves, birdsong fills the air, accompanied now and then by the sounds of the native animals.
This is no civilisation, however. This island was never built to support a population that so widely depends upon a certain level of comfort for their happiness. No houses or shelters of any kind save for naturally forming caves are to be found here, and no supplies that do not need to be gathered or caught. Although the island looks safe enough in the daylight, beware, for as much as it was not made to be inhabited by the city’s residents, there are creatures that come out at night which may see these sudden new arrivals as a welcome change from their normal diet…]
The event's OOC explanation can be found here, and you're welcome to either intro your character now or at the event's end, as you prefer.
Thank you!
