APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS

Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

First Person:
[It's something to be said for having one's consciousness fade to the sound of the people he failed to protect. And that is that it's not very comfortable to wake up in total silence in a train on the move and far different from what he'd expected. His soul was to be imprisoned for eternity, and yet, here he is, stepping out onto the platform once the train grinds to a halt and the doors open.

Golden eyes scan the area, finding no familiarity, no comfort in it though it's preferable to where he thought he was going, dilapidated buildings and general disarray compared to what he's used to aside.

He feels something in his hand then, lifting it up and finding it to be a watch. He turns it carefully in his bony fingers, checking it out and trying to figure out where it came from when it pops open and the video feed switches on. He leans closer and gives the City a nice view of a rather sunken in looking face that has a strange sort of beauty to it regardless.
] Hm...

Rather than what it appeared to be, it would seem that this is a communicator. [Smart. It doesn't take him too long to figure out of it- video, voice, text... A simple contraption all in all, yet intriguing.]

I am assuming I am not on my own here then. [Where there's a network of communication there has to be people, right?] In that case, being given some insight to where I am would be appreciated.

Third Person:
There was a lot that was unexpected about being free when he was pretty sure that he was going to an eternity being locked away and imprisoned, his soul never to roam anywhere ever again. It was unexpected to the point that for a moment he merely stood at the station, letting the summer wind ruffle his hair, blond strands being tugged at by it and he breathed in, and then back out. Alive, but separated from all that he loved. No, not separated- Having it taken from him and suffering crushing defeat prior to his arrival which resulted in the loss of his lovers, his followers, and the death of his children. A spark of anger flew through him before he could quite stop it and he had to take another moment to calm himself and remind himself that the one who had taken everything from him was not here.

In fact, if anything this place was a place he needed to explore, in order to seek out answers of what had happened to him. If this was God's plan, then... That would be strange because he thought he had already known what God wanted to happen to him and this was definitely not it and to be honest, Sariel wasn't quite sure what action he should take right now. Was this planned, had something gone wrong? Was this his 'prison'? It didn't feel like it. Or look like it. Was it part of some sort of trial he should go through to repent maybe, though if so, Heaven had seriously miscalculated because he had no intention to do that when he had done nothing wrong. There would be instructions though, wouldn't there? If that was truly the case and he glanced around once more and listened to... Actually, not much to listen to either other than the sounds of the wind and some animals. No matter where he looked and how much he listened, there was no sign of what his next move should be which left him with a choice- Either sitting down and waiting for some sort of sign or taking the matter into his own hands. It was difficult to choose really, because he wasn't sure as there really wasn't anything motivating or prompting him one way or another. There was the watch in his hand that seemed to be connected to some type of network. He had no explanation for that yet, though he didn't think to get rid of it just yet. It might be necessary to keep it after all. It could have some purpose. Had to have some purpose.

After a moment of merely standing there, the Fallen Angel began walking, deciding to take matters into his own hands as he was in no state of mind to wait around for anything really, be it a sign from God or anything else. He wished for answers to the questions he was mulling over in his head, preferably ones that would clear his doubt and the rage that bubbled beneath the surface, that prickling feeling of being all on his own that he'd never felt before welling up and overtaking making his rage thinly veiled at best. It was most unpleasant and unfamiliar, though it felt a lot like the fear he'd felt when he realized his defeat had come and that the price of it was the separation of him and his lovers and followers as well as the death of his children that he loved and wished to protect and shelter, despite their pain. They were his children after all, what kind of a father would be be if he didn't shelter them? They were family, as much as anyone, Angel or God, was.

He didn't wish to dwell on it right now though, making his move throughout the city in search of.... Something. Anything.
