APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS

Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.

In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

First Person:

[A rustle of plastic, and a click of very well-shined shoes will be the first sound anyone listening to the communicator will hear. He steps out of the train—one he had purposefully gotten on after a trip to a 24 hour convenience store—and into a place he immediately does not recognize. This isn’t Inaba at all.

Bright blue eyes take in his surroundings, and he takes long, slow striding step forward, and with a turn of his head he watches the train slowly disappear around a corner.

It doesn’t take a genius to tell that this place is unnatural. It is highly peculiar—and everything feels wrong. Out of place, would be the best way to describe it, far from Earth and cut off from Heaven. Such a thing would make any Archangel feel paranoid or concerned, however, Michael doesn’t seem to be too put off by it all. He moves over to the station itself, eyeing the posters that line the walls.]

Ruby City.

[He reads out loud, a calm, collected voice showing no real concern to being in such a place. Michael has never heard of a ‘Ruby City’ back on Earth, nor in Heaven, for that matter. Wherever he is, he supposes, he has to be here for a reason. There is another small rustle of plastic, and he pulls out a white plastic-wrapped object from the bag. He slowly unravels it, poking the trash back into his bag before poking the end of what appears to be an ice cream bar into his mouth.]

I suppose I should take a look around.

Third Person:

The first thing any onlookers would notice about this man was the way he walked. No, the way he almost glided along the sidewalk as he moved, hands pushed into the pockets of his light-grey slacks, perfectly matched with a shirt and matching blazer. A suit that looked like it cost a good arm and a leg even by the most well-to-do individual’s budget. Hair tied up in a neat bun along the back of his head, long golden flowing locks rested along his shoulders. He was certainly an elegant man, but the look on his face was anything but classy.

He looked a little upset—if angels could actually feel such an emotion—and he seemed to be contemplating something. He was thinking about his brother. Lucifel had disappeared from heaven without a trace, and it had sent near the entirety of Heaven into a bit of a confused tizzy.

For such a man to fall—with no prior warning, no explanation and hardly a word from his beloved brother, Michael was left confused to what had happened. He had taken it upon himself to find the man, and it was the very reason to why he was on Earth, now. Without any knowledge to where he had gone, he figured the best place to start his search for the man he had known since the Beginning would be Earth. After all, wasn’t it where all Fallen Ones went when they fell from grace?

When he found him, he knew what he would do. He would ask him why he fell. Why he did not tell him, his closest sibling and most trusted friend in Heaven why things were going wrong. And he would then offer him aid in redeeming himself in God’s eyes. So things could return to normal. So he could have his brother back, and—

There was a small jingle to his left, and he rose his head a bit to see where it had come from. He had stopped directly in front of a store, the word ‘Junes’ Plastered up on the front of the building. There appeared to be speakers just inside the large, glass doors, and they were playing a catchy little tune.

“Every day is great, at your Junes~” a jaunty voice sang, and the beginnings of a smile moved over the Archangel’s face.

Well; there was no harm in a pit-stop, was there? After all; a stop in at June’s would only make his search a little bit easier to bear.
