APPLICATIONS
✗ Applications are processed weekly, every weekend. The cut-off time for the submission of applications is 11:59PST on Saturday.
✗ Before applying, please read the FAQ and Rules pages.
✗ Please submit your application with the journal you plan to use if you have one made already. If not, another journal is fine, but we prefer your intended journal so it makes for an easier time in granting access to the mod journal and the contacts page.
✗ For very long applications, we would ask you to please separate them into various comments so that they will not take up too much of the page.
✗ Please title your application as { [CANON/CANON OC/OC]CHARACTER NAME || Series Title || reserve/no reserve || X of X } in the subect header
✗ IMPORTANT: Our application form was edited on September 07, 2015. Please use the revised form.
✗ If you are looking for an example of what an application should be like, please refer to the application here for an example of a canon character application, and here for an original character application.

A note for CR AU applications
Ruby City does allow previous game history/CR to be brought over on a case by case basis. If you want to include this in your application please add additional sections for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT and PREVIOUS GAME HISTORY beneath the Personality and Background/History sections.
In these additional sections we would like to see a brief outline of your character's previous game history and how it potentially impacted on and altered their canon personality.

Allisonother things. He's also the one who first suggests that Scott might be a werewolf and wastes no time in digging up information on the subject, even if Scott thinks he's being ridiculous at first. They're two peas in a nerdy little pod who have always warmed the bench on the lacrosse field together; and of all the people in Scott's life, Stiles is pretty much the only one in whom his trust never wavers. He doesn't even trust his mother enough to tell her that he's a werewolf, although part of it might be due to Scott's protectiveness of her, since she's the only family he has and he doesn't want her to get involved in that aspect of his life. She ends up finding out accidentally, and this causes a brief rift in their household when she refuses to speak to him; though it is eventually resolved.Scott never talks about his father. His mother makes the comment that they're both better off without him in their lives, so it can be assumed that he probably was not the best of male role models. The lack of a male figure in his life, I think, is one of his reasons for refusing to join Derek's pack. Scott is the "man of the house," as they say, and he doesn't want to submit to the authority of someone who isn't his father. (He is also not thrilled about the idea of his mom dating for similar reasons, though to be fair she was dating a crazy asshole). Other factors that affect his decision to not recognise Derek as his alpha include the fact that Scott's loyalty is to his friends, not to any one person. Scott's lack of trust in him is also a big part--he sees Derek as secretive and a generally shady person--as is the fact that Derek wants to kill Jackson instead of finding a way to help him stop turning into the kanima. Scott doesn't really like Jackson but he certainly doesn't want to kill him. He says that, when he first became a werewolf, he had the support of his best friend and later his girlfriend. Jackson has nobody, so Scott thinks they ought to look out for him.
This doesn't stop him from trying to beat the shit out of Jackson when he thinks Allison is in danger. Scott will go to any length to keep his girlfriend safe (even if she's quite capable of protecting herself). From the moment he sees her, he is smitten; and even after finding out that her family have been werewolf hunters for centuries, he can't be kept away from her. When Allison's parents forbid the two of them from seeing each other, they meet in secret and during school hours. Their relationship has a bit of that star-crossed Romeo and Juliet flavor to it, but for Scott, it goes a lot deeper than that. At a time when he is struggling with keeping his wolf transformations in check, his love for Allison is the one thing that truly keeps him from losing his control. Just the sound of her voice or the touch of her hand is enough to reign in Scott's anger and keep his animal instincts from ruling him. He does get snappy with her on occasion--during the day of the full moon, Scott is irritable like a PMSing lady and tends to be snappy with anybody, though.
So to sum things up, Scott is a good, (mostly) responsible kid. He's a good student when he isn't being chased by psychotic alphas or werewolf hunters. He is loyal to his friends and tries to protect them as best as he can, and even looks out for people who may be dickbags but don't deserve to die. He loves his mom and his girlfriend and is often blind to everything else where the latter is involved, but Allison is what keeps his wolf in check when it really matters. He didn't ask for any of this supernatural stuff and if he can ever find a cure he'd most likely take it, but realistically he's starting to come to terms with the fact that he's stuck.

Uh... I'm not sure what that train ride was all about, or how I got there in the first place. I don't even remember getting on board. Is Ruby City in California?
[Maybe it's kind of like the Emerald City? But he would have noticed a tornado, he thinks... and Dorothy hadn't gone to Oz on a train.]
Hey, this isn't some kind of amusement park or something, is it? Though if it is... I don't know why I don't remember buying a ticket or why I'm here by myself.
[Going to a park by yourself is pretty lame, after all.]
Third Person: Blood rushed through his head. It was all he could hear at that moment; the thrill filling him full of adrenaline. And then a sharp whistle cut through the roar---it didn't affect his delicate hearing as badly as it did when he'd first become a werewolf, but it seemed to snap him to attention in a way it never had before he'd been turned. Then again, he'd never truly had the chance to play, before he'd been a werewolf.
The ball went live, and Scott darted around one of the other team's players into the open. It was almost like dancing, the way he moved, as nimble as a gymnast. Coach had been quick to point that out the first time he'd played after being bitten. Truth be told, he liked it sometimes. Some aspects of being a werewolf were a huge pain in the ass, obviously. But others were completely amazing. He loved being able to smell and hear things before he could see them---the opposing team's player coming up on his flank, for instance. He shot ahead and spun to his right to catch the ball as it was passed to him.
Clear. When it was just him and the goalie and he knew it the right time to take the shot, he swung his arms around to send the ball flying toward the net. It cleared without the goalie even coming near it.
When the crowd erupted into cheers, Scott finally seemed to come back to himself. He could pick out individual voices: his mom in the stands, Stiles on the bench... Allison. He didn't even have to search. His eyes landed on her face immediately, and a huge grin spread across his face as his teammates crowded around him . The goal was his and it had clinched the victory for Beacon Hills, but his prize was far greater than simply winning a lacrosse game. Allison's smile was like the sun; and if the thrill of victory had Scott's spirits high, then seeing her so obviously happy sent them absolutely soaring.
