CHARACTER
Name: Ragna the Bloodedge
Canon: BlazBlue
Age: Early 20s
Timeline: Post!Continuum Shift, as Ragna & Taokaka are on their way to Ikaruga

Personality: Cold, loud-mouthed, sarcastic, attitudinal, cynical, grumpy, rude, foul-mouthed, a criminal, a jerk, an asshole, blunt, cruel, rebellious the list could go on and on. The image painted of the legendary SS-Class criminal Ragna the Bloodedge is a rather grim one. And on the surface, many of those descriptions of him would hold water with the way that he comes off to others. While his attitude and short temper are indeed ingrained into his personality, to get the bottom as to why he acts the way that he does is to take a few steps into the past, to a simpler time. To a time before a child called Ragna would take on the bloodstained mantle of ‘Bloodedge’. While it isn’t fully known as to the full origins of Ragna, Jin and Saya, it is speculated that he is possibly an artificially created human. What is known is that in his earlier years, he lived a carefree, peaceful life with his two siblings at a church with a sister nun. In these early years, Ragna was shown to be a kind and caring brother to both Saya and Jin. His mannerisms, while not dignified, were also more reeled in as well and his compassion to protect his loved ones was astounding. Although it may also show how single-minded Ragna can be as he gave Saya extra attention when she became ill, while not paying his brother Jin much attention by comparison. This tunnel-vision trait of his shines through in his future self in how devoted he is to his causes. Be it defeating the likes of Yuuki Terumi or destroying the Novus Orbis Librarium and everything it stands for.

His bitter and cold outlook on the world would soon become rooted in his mind when his world was flipped upside down, the church burned down and the sister looking after them getting killed. Add his brother being controlled by the mysterious (troll) green-haired man named Terumi to chop off his arm, left for dead at the burning remains of the church with Saya kidnapped and Jin nowhere to be seen, and this concoction creates a recipe for disaster that would inevitably shape Ragna into the strong-willed albeit hate-filled fighter that he had become feared for. When he was fortunate enough to be saved by Rachel Alucard by being infused with the Azure Grimoire, a powerful ars magus that grants him access to the boundary and feeding upon souls, Ragna took this desire for revenge to heart and was trained by Jubei. As he grew up and got stronger with his master, he developed a burning desire to see the world as he knew it destroyed, as it was his role in the world to upset the balance that was established by the Library. The Library by extension being responsible for everything that was wrong with the world and for what happened to him and his siblings was all the motivation that he needed to fulfill his mission. To become the world’s #1 most dangerous enemy and be labelled as a villain in the eyes of everyone was a hefty burden to place upon Ragna’s shoulders if he was going to change anything, but it only serves to prove just how resilient he is and how accepting he is of the circumstances that surround him. So long as he has the power he needs to do what he’s set out to do, that is all that mattered to him. And that includes mastering the ability to use the Azure Grimoire which took the place of his lost arm. Though Ragna has been warned to not mistake the power of the Azure as his own, he will press his luck and use it as needed, though given his outrageous strength to begin with, he doesn’t resort to it often unless it’s against a powerful foe. …or they just happen to piss him off, considering his short temper.

“Out of my way already…or you're dead.”

To say that Ragna embraces the role of a bad guy in the eyes of the common people is an understatement. Vulgar and rude, Ragna isn’t afraid to speak his mind though he will warn others to leave him alone if he isn’t in the mood to talk. While Ragna doesn’t go out of his way to cause trouble except for the destruction of the Library branches that are located in every hierarchical city, he isn’t above a good fight if provoked (be it by a vigilante after the bounty on his head or just being irritated by someone in general). Because of his reputation as the ‘Grim Reaper’, he is more inclined to reject advances of friendship when he knows that it would lead to trouble for him, and potentially due to his lack of trust in others. When betrayed or wronged by others, it’s very hard to forgive them as is the case with Jin despite figuring out how he was used by Terumi before, though it’s not impossible either. Granted such a mindset and jaded attitude could be put into question based upon two factors. One being canon and the other pertaining to being in a roleplaying game (Ruby City) where he’s separated from his world where he’s enemy #1 and unable to continue on with his mission. Of course this also means taking into consideration the other side of Ragna, of which admittedly may be more prominent outside of the BlazBlue universe.

Beneath the gruff exterior that he exudes and the villainous reputation that he shoulders is the same kind-hearted, compassionate man that cares for his loved ones, especially his family. It just so happens that it’s buried deep beneath the betrayal, hatred and bitterness he feels for getting everything taken away from him when he wanted a peaceful life. While he himself has yet to completely realize this yet, his desire for power doesn’t just stem from his desire for revenge, but out of fear that he won’t be able to protect the people around him that matter, as seen with the way he was helpless to stop Terumi from destroying his life. While still rough around the edges as he does it, he’s not above mercy or sympathy, preferring to kick the ass of his opponent instead of outright killing them unless the situation truly calls for it. Otherwise he also has a tendency for getting suckered in by beggars, even when it’s not by his choice; such as treating Taokaka to food or buying Platinum’s meal despite the treatment he receives. Though his mood doesn’t shift greatly, while he’s calm and around other respectable people (AKA nice people/not crazy people), he can hold a conversation much more easily and is more willing to show his kinder side. That doesn’t necessarily mean that nice people are immune to his more brutal side, though it typically happens when he’s confused or prodded the wrong way. As for his confusion, Ragna is prone to fits of anger and air-thin patience when he doesn’t understand what is going on around him, as people like Jubei and Rachel tend to not explain whole situations to him least he either figure it out for himself or fate will have everything fall into place.

Unless your name is Rachel Alucard as well, it would be wise not to call him a pervert or a pedophile, as he has been teased for such statements when just in the presence of others that are younger than him- it also leads to incurring his violent wrath if pushed far enough. Otherwise his luck is terrible and the trouble he gets into when not involving the Library is typically not of his own accord, and is even in spite of his generosity. Granted Ragna isn’t above being a “guy” from time to time, as is evidenced by his checking out Makoto (though in a more subtle manner by comparison to Kagura) when facing off against her.
His emotional attachment to his sister, Saya, is also worth noting as for his conflicted feelings in regards to the Murakumo units (namely Lambda-11, Nu-13, and Noel Vermillion) whom all are replicas of her. In the case of Nu-13, who was created to guard the Cauldron of the 13th Hierarchical City, Kagutsuchi, it evidently tears him up on the inside to have to forcefully tell her to shut up and that he was going to destroy her, refusing to use the term ‘kill’ as to try to make the pain less severe in having to defeat her. With Lambda-11, when she sacrificed herself for him at the end of Continuum Shift and regained Nu’s memories and spent her last moments in Ragna’s arms before fading away (giving him the Idea Engine that let him access the true Azure), he was briefly an emotional wreck having to watch her die in his arms. By extension, though initially hostile to Noel Vermillion, Ragna’s attachment to his sister and her genuine human and kind-hearted nature got through to him as well, compelling him to want to protect and save her. Even if it cost him his arm once more as he reversed the tempering process that had turned Noel into the Godslayer, Mu-12. While his surprisingly noble and reckless sacrifice may not extend out to others as extensively, it goes to show Ragna’s bravado and how much he seems to not care for his own wellbeing if it means saving those that matter to him.

His resilience being addressed one last time, there have been multiple times in which Ragna has been brutally attacked and even wounded to the point of which the injuries should be fatal. Between the combination of his Azure Grimoire, his own body being the human form of the Black Beast, and his own die-hard attitude, he viciously proclaims that he refuses to give up, even when things are looking their most grim.

“I swore to myself…that I’d…never give up…
I… I’m going… to fight…as a human…until the very end! Until the very end!”

The drive to never give up may be the reason that he has managed to pull through some situations that many would have considered impossible to overcome. Whether it’s for revenge, to protect what matters most to him, or for whatever Ragna sets his eyes upon, the name Bloodedge will carry on with the same weighted burden. Ragna will always be known as the destroyer.

Also Ragna is a surprisingly very good cook and has a phobia of ghosts that causes him to scream like a girl. So much for his manly reputation.

Background: http://blazblue.wikia.com/wiki/Ragna_the_Bloodedge
Abilities: http://blazblue.wikia.com/wiki/Ragna_the_Bloodedge#Powers_and_Abilities & http://blazblue.wikia.com/wiki/Ragna_the_Bloodedge/Move_List

To briefly summarize Ragna’s abilities, he possesses incredible strength which can be attested to both the power of the Azure Grimoire and his own physical standing after being trained by Jubei, the strongest being on the planet. Not mentioned in the wikias above is how his body can handle a lot more abuse than most while still fighting in acceptable conditions, recovering from wounds faster than most with a higher regeneration; although he can’t regrow limbs by doing this and his body is left with scars otherwise.

First Person: [Voice]

[instead of doing the rational thing and go and explore the city laid out before him as he stepped off the train, he decided to follow after the train. this wasn’t Ikaruga, and Tao had buggered off somewhere. Although he had a feeling that for once, he couldn’t blame Tao for getting lost. She was right beside him. But for a good few hours he kept walking and running, following the tracks and listening for any oncoming trains]

Seriously, when the hell is this fog going to let up? I’ve seen some shit, but this? I can’t even clear it up either…

[one aggravated sigh later and he stops fiddling with the communicator he received, cutting off the voice transmission for now. but not before…]

Pain in the ass.

--
Thirty Minutes Later . . .
--

Finally! …when the hell did I hit the woods? And where’d the tracks go? [confused and lost? That can only mean one thing! Ragna is pissed! So he takes out the communicator once again] Shit. Hey, Kokonoe! I don’t know what I did to piss you off, but this isn’t funny anymore. It’s either you or the rabbit screwing with me, and I’m not in the mood for your crap. So pick up! I know you’re there.

[…no response]

Really? Gonna play hardball, bitch? Fine. Hey Rachel! Rachel! Get your ass out here already! I got blown off course!

[… …a response]

[but it’s not from Rachel or Kokonoe, that’s for sure. looks like shouting and causing a ruckus in the depths of the forest attracted some unwelcome guests. Snarling and growling can be heard as Ragna’s quickly surrounded. And all he’s gotta say to this?]

You gotta be fu-- [that’s about the time the voice transmission kicks out again. nice way to get things started here, Ragna]

Third Person:

"Places like this just don't exist anymore..." Musing to himself, Ragna had eventually gotten tired of wandering around the city, the otherwise calm city that he just couldn't escape him. Evidently that lead the white-haired Grim Reaper to the river, leaning over the side of the bridge to stare at his own reflection. Or rather, he would have been had it not been for the fact that the river was frozen. The cold didn't seem to be bothering him either as a light frown marred his lips. This place...no, this world- if what he was told was true, he was more than just blown off course. He wasn't coming back; not yet at least. He wasn't so convinced that there wasn't a way out of here. Maybe the secret lied within the catacombs he'd heard so much about. It wasn't like he was ill-equipped for any dangers that could come his way. He'd likely dealt with worse. But what troubled him the most, however...was the fact that he couldn't get back to what mattered the most. Stopping the Imperator and putting an end to the NOL for good; that included stomping Terumi into the ground. But that meant going through her too...

He should have known that it was here. He didn't want to accept it- didn't want to wonder as to why Nu, Lambda, Noel...they all shared her same face. But why? There were too many questions that were now being left unanswered and while he was trapped here in Ruby City, he couldn't do anything about it. What was his purpose here? He couldn't have died... He couldn't have gone back in time to the past, could he have? He didn't recognize this place, even if it was a lot nicer than most of the cities back home. Untouched by seithr. Untouched by chaos. Untouched by...well, him. The people that were here alongside him weren't to blame. Whoever was responsible for trapping everyone here? They were the ones he needed to vent his anger to. He had to put a stop to this and find a way to shatter the barriers that kept everyone from going home. It was Hell in disguise...even if the Hell he would be returning to was likely far worse, his fate a grim one in most likely outcomes. His own choice of words were still strong in his mind however.

As a human, until the very end. He was going to keep fighting until the very end. Gritting his teeth in frustration, Ragna flicked his gloves of the snow that gathered beneath his grip on the railing of the bridge and started walking. Where? Who knew? Until he found answers that is. "Can't figure shit out by just sitting on my ass." ...he wasn't really sitting on his ass, but the point still stood. Standing around and doing nothing...well, did nothing for him. So he would walk, and check out what this city had to offer. What secrets it kept. What truths it revealed so easily. Whose ass would he have to kick to get out of here?

What would Ragna have to do to help everyone?

CHARACTER
Name: Rhoda Teneiro
Canon: Ace Attorney
Age: 24
Timeline: Post Turnabout Airlines
professionality: (15)

[personal profile] professionality 2014-01-17 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality:
Rhoda has dedicated her life to putting the 'pro' in 'professional flight attendant'. Above all, she is defined by her job. There is nothing she takes more pride in than performing her duty perfectly. The highest oath she appears to know is literally 'I swear on my honour as a professional flight attendant' . Likewise, if she wants to ensure someone else is being serious, the makes them swear on their respective profession, which indicates she automatically assumes most other people have the same sense of job honour she has.
As a professional, Rhoda's most outstanding qualities are her calm, her patience and her good manners. She is able to force a smile in conversation with mostly everyone, even if those smiles might end up looking kind of tense and twitchy.
Even when faced with Edgeworth while she assumes him a killer, Rhoda acts polite and strict. If she is scared of him at that point, she does not let it show. Only a certain cold look she gives him makes her disgust at that moment clear. This shows that her professional attitude goes along with a certain amount of braveness. If it's for her job, Rhoda will easily suppress her emotions and fears.
When she does end in a panic, like she does upon finding a dead body on her flight, then she does her best to quickly get over it and resolve the situation swiftly. Her tendency to deal with critical situations fast is not always entirely helpful though, as it results in rash decisions and premature judgement.

Rhoda's personality in general does not vary too much from her work persona. She is a very tidy person in private as well and states that she loves to clean. Her bed on the plane is kept neatly and next to it there is a note board full of little sticky notes, presumably about tasks she still needs to perform. Always doing things correctly is Rhoda's main objective. In this pursuit, she sometimes even ends up correcting her own actions out loud. This is seen when she speaks to Edgeworth about suspecting him to be the culprit ("Maybe I should put on a serious face and say it directly").
As someone who values order, Rhoda only believes what she sees with her own eyes. Before she accepts someone's words, she likes to see proof of what they are claiming. This is opposed to how easily she is deluded by her own first impressions, but it makes sense. It would be fatal if she believed people too easily after all, when she is supposed to be a figure of authority on her flights. Likewise, she also keeps a professional distance from the travellers. When a passenger makes inappropriately flirty comments at her, she neither snaps at him nor responds out of the ordinary in any other way. She simply keeps her professional distance. In a similar manner, she makes clear to Edgeworth that even if he is nice to her and acts as a gentleman, it will not gain her trust. The professional thing to do is wait for him to prove his innocence, so Rhoda let's nothing else sway her. So despite her politeness, Rhoda can be very direct and even though she never gets rude, she will tell somebody when she thinks they misbehaved terribly. However, she will let small things slide as quirks of passengers that she just has to deal with.
After all, the passenger is king for her and even when she doubts one, she will not cease to offer service. Even while Edgeworth is under suspicion of murder, Rhoda is almost frantic over the realization that he hadn't had his proper meal yet. Service comes completely natural to her and she will perform services unless she is explicitly told not to. (When Edgeworth talks to a stuttering passenger, she translates all he says into smooth non-stuttering language, despite the fact that Edgeworth doesn't show any problems understanding the original words. Likewise, she jumps in for her colleague Cammy when she fails to respond to a question properly.)

Still, even tough Rhoda acts prideful, she is woman full of self-doubt. As a professional flight attendant she points out the quality of her work a lot, but it appears to be the only thing she openly dares to be confident about. While she can come across as almost arrogant at first ("I don't think you could ask for a more perfect witness testimony"), it is merely an act that displays the high standards she holds herself to. In truth, she doesn't think she can even afford to make mistakes, so her constant flaunting of being 'professional' is just covering up for insecurity.
Because being a professional flight attendant is the only thing Rhoda thinks she's really good at, she also uses it as a justification for completely unrelated judgements. For example she states that 'as a professional flight attendant' she can recognize the beauty of a vase, which technically has nothing to do with her profession at all.
Indeed, Rhoda goes as far as stating 'all she really has' is her job. Apparently she doesn't have any social life to speak of. Her lack of free time occupations becomes even more clear when you take into consideration that even though her job evidently pays well, she mostly spends the money on the suitcases she designed herself. She buys one on every single flight she is on, despite them costing 1.200 Dollars each - a sum that speaks for itself.
When something goes wrong at her work, Rhoda starts to reveal what she really thinks of herself. It doesn't take much to go from her usual honour as a professional to calling herself 'a failure as a flight attendant', which is obviously the highest insult she could apply to herself. When she makes a mistake, Rhoda is really worried about the consequences it may have. She doesn't easily live something down when there is a chance that someone might have gotten into problems because of her.
Seeing she already blames herself heavily for any wrongdoings, Rhoda can't really deal with someone else rightfully accusing her of any errors she committed. She is able to speak up for herself upon being wrongly scolded, but when she knows the other person is right or when the blame for something really heavy is confidently put on her (like Franziska arresting her as a murder suspect), Rhoda loses her ability to say anything in her own defence. She only stutters uselessly and if possibly excuses herself to flee from the scene.
After a mistake, her professionalism crumbles a little, and Rhoda begins to exhibit a tendency to apologize excessively for any faults in her own actions, even if they are small. She really wants to make up anything wrong she might have done to the person affected. As opposed to her usually strict and calm manner of speaking, Rhoda tends to stutter a lot and physically tremble when she gets like that.
Generally, she loses her ability to think rationally when she is nervous. While she tries to cover up for it, this becomes evident in her actions as such. The fact that she went out of her way to ask a dead man to verbally confirm his own death kind of speaks for itself here. She acts as if she's calm, but what she says is ultimately nonsense.

Still, insecurity and directness aside, Rhoda is not unable to lie and break protocol. Even when it is about her work, there are situations in which a good reason causes Rhoda to behave unexpectedly and dishonestly. For example, finding the truth behind the murder on her plane is important enough to her to do so. She knows fully well that she would never get the captain's permission for allowing Edgeworth an investigation, but she does deem one necessary and wants to make the wrong accusation up to him. So she lies and lets him investigate despite never having even brought the issue to the captain in the first place. It is an attempt at solving the mess she herself got involved in before any higher-up even finds out about it. She wants to make things right, even if she sometimes uses the wrong means to do so.
This also shows that even despite thinking lowly of herself, Rhoda is able to tell when someone wrongs her. She realizes fully well that Cammy, her co-worker, does not deserve the captain's attention and respect as much as her, and instead of thinking it is her fault in some way, she is offended about the way things are. However, she is too timid to bring the issue up openly for real. When it comes to co-workers and people she knows better than random passengers, Rhoda is a lot more reluctant and shy. It appears that she wishes for better, maybe friendship-esque relations to them, even if they treat her badly.
As a last note on lying, it has to be said that Rhoda lies more easily when the subject she lies about only concerns herself. For example, she insists on the suitcases she made selling well - even though they don't. In a way, that is a white lie. It doesn't cause anybody else any harm and only serves to keep up her facade of confidence and success. At least to the outside, Rhoda makes an attempt to cover up for what goes wrong in her life.
Even though she is good at making it seem otherwise, Rhoda just really doesn't believe much in herself. When she won a company design contest with her suitcases by her own words she thought that 'maybe, maybe she had finally accomplished something'.

The mention of design finally finally guides us to a part of Rhoda that neither has to do with work nor self-consciousness. She appears to really like designing things. The only problem is that by common standard she is horrible at it.

These are her suitcases. The ones sold for 1200 Dollars each. I don't think I need to expand on the fact that Rhoda really likes bright colours, but doesn't really know how to combine them in a way that pleases the average eye. However, she really does put her heart into everything she designs. With a lot of love, she made these suitcases to be 'faithful partners for the passengers'. It's easy to tell just from this, that Rhoda truly is a sweet and idealistic person at heart.

Truly, a lot of her behaviour is reminiscent of the stereotypical young and pure maiden. When you get to know Rhoda a little more, you will find her a surprisingly naive woman. As the investigation with Edgeworth progresses, she voices a number of ideas that are painfully obvious, which she seems genuinely excited about. She really hopes to be of help and gets sad when she finally figures that really, it wasn't much use.
However, she doesn't always catch on with her actions being strangely out of place. She makes Edgeworth, an adult man, pinky-swear - with a completely straight face as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
On that note (the note being Edgeworth), it would fit right into Rhoda's character to secretly hope for a fairytale prince to appear. Cammy once implies that she might have a crush on the polite Edgeworth and although Rhoda doesn't confirm it directly, the way she denies the accusation makes it seem like a valid possibility.

Aside from crushes, Rhoda appears to have a general tendency towards idolization. She greatly looks up to Hugo Ifly, the founder of the airlines she works for. Furthermore, she is shown caring a lot about a chair used when a certain rock band was flying with their plane. Here it is implied that she does stay up to date with pop culture some bit and is interested in famous people.

Once Rhoda grows to like someone more, she also comes to rely on them more and begin hoping for their help when she is in trouble. Likewise, she would doubtlessly do anything she could to help them as well. When she's more confident around a person, Rhoda also dares to show a less polite, pushier, but more natural side of herself. (She is almost pouting as she commands Edgeworth to say he'll buy her suitcase, as he says he hasn't bought one.)
Like almost any person, Rhoda brightens up when people are nice to her. If someone gets through to her enough with that, she will show them a bright and genuine smile for once.

Rhoda's wish to get to know people more than just by serving them on a flight is also shown in the way she examines her passengers. Even before she talks to them, she seems to have a habit of looking closely at their looks and behaviour. She appears to enjoy making hypothesises about their lives and backgrounds, even if those often end up completely off. At least it can be said she is an observant person, both by nature and job necessity.

A random and irrelevant flaw of her is that apparently she's really bad at washing clothes. At the badly smelling crime-scene, she is reminded of her own towels after they come out of the drier.

Background: Rhoda's Wiki

Abilities: Rhoda is human through and through. Her only notable skill is indeed being a professional flight attendant. Despite the sounds of it, that is not to be underestimated. When she says she would calmly serve coffee, if so desired, even in the middle of a plane crash, then she absolutely means it. While nervousness sometimes gets the better of her, Rhoda is generally very good at forcing herself to be calm and smile. She has a lot of patience.
Aside from that, she has the ability to combine colours in ways that make everyone lose their cool - sadly not in the way that's intended. Her designs are, to quote a certain prosecutor, 'hideous'.

Done!

Personality:
Not much is known about Nill prior to the series, but whatever happened it’s left her very shy and awkward, especially in social situations -- also strengthened by the fact that she is mute, and can only communicate little by little with exaggerated expressions, hand-movement and writing into palms, proving that she at least has some knowledge about spelling certain words. Despite this, she’s very sweet and trusting, once you prove yourself to not want her any harm.

With her exterior being the perfect picture of innocence, she’s suffered a dark past and has seen much of the harsh things in life. She’s been the witness of murder and pillage, but was dragged out of it by Heine and Badou. With this she’s gotten a more caring demeanour, and once you get close to her she proves to be very supportive and loyal. She’s very paranoid due to her original purpose of mutation, so she’ll be vary around strangers. But, if someone she trusts tells her they’re trustworthy, she’ll believe them.

Unlike the most people in the underground she has no special skill or power, and is mostly helpless in combat, but that doesn’t stop her from fighting for people she cares about. She can be a little crybaby and a scaredy-cat (there’s probably trauma of almost being sold to people as slaves here), but when all comes to all she’d most likely sacrifice herself for the people she cares for, her small and broken family of dangerous killers, who took her in when she needed it the most. With a stomp in the ground and by making herself and her wings look bigger, if that’s what it takes! Although she’s also very clumsy and not much of a quick learner, but she tries her best and doesn’t give up.

Despite her lack of speech Nill proves to be a good listener, very respectful and considerate, proven to be there if you need it. She can only respond with gentle touches and small smiles, but they’re extremely honest and she means well. And all though their world is hopeless, and sometimes she gets scared, she’s very positive, energetic, hopeful and ambitious.

Background: wikia | It’s not that long, but there’s not much more of it, as she’s a side character that mostly stays behind from the action!

Abilities:

- Nill is… pretty useless, except for when you need someone to listen to. She’s proven herself to be unable to patch clothes, but she tries her best!! Soon, she’ll be good at this, too.

- However, for a girl at the age of 14, she’s pretty good at being able to keep calm in stressful situations. She’s so used to gunfiring and battles and blood and everything by now, it nearly doesn’t phase her anymore.

- As a mute girl, Nill’s other senses are heightened.

CHARACTER
Name: Omega, just Omega.
Age: 14

Appearance: Omega's appearance is thoroughly boyish if not for her choice in clothing. Black hair cut in a rough, spiked fringe with a hint of a hime-style to it, usually pinned with two bows. Were it not for these colorful additions, and not for her choice in clothing, her, for lack of better word, flat, skinny, figureless curvature would make her look like androgynous. Instead, she dolls herself up ridiculously. Favoring black and pink mixing together as if lolita never went out of style and never will, there's always a touch of lace to everything Omega chooses to wear. If it's not girlish, it has to go. Eyes are a standard orange and there's nothing outwardly physical otherwise to note about her that's rather extraordinary. That's all on the inside. She has a cutesy voice but can throw it deep if she has to.

Chosen PB: My drawn icons will suffice!

Personality: Omega is stellar at being absolutely horrible to anyone at any given time. Her rude persona is both born from her parentage, who wholly encouraged this, and just being an archetypical spoiled brat. She wants? She takes. She's aggressive with what she takes and what she gets. Like playing a video game, Omega would take to this setting with uncertainty (she would not put a lot of stock into the fact that this will last) melded with enthusiasm. This is just the next phase of the big game and she wants to win it and come out on top. Having equals would be unsettling. She isn't used to answering to authority so she isn't going to be used to taking guff.

An important thing to remember in relation to her character is that Omega is a little girl. She's spoiled, she's got a kid's head, she has maturity for those rare moments when she sits down to think about life, but those are infrequent because the question doesn't matter to her. Moving forward is what does. She was abducted? There are worse fates. This isn't optimism so much as it is positive-spun realism. Eventually, that realism will wear out and Omega will realize she very dearly misses her father. She has an attachment to him that goes with security-- her dad decided to keep her, raised her, and loved her, and if he were here, he'd totally take charge, because that's what a dad is in her mind. In charge. And Omega would feel very alone without that slight security that her dad is backing her up. Even though adjusting would be just fine for her, the whole arriving will leave a sour taste in her mouth. There's plenty of reasons she'd want to say goodbye first.

In regards to her best friend, Omega and Nora complete each other like yin and yang. Omega is the one who keeps Nora's hopeful, naive idealism grounded where it's safe, and Nora pacifies Omega's need to have to assert authority in the form of aggression. Omega is the type of friend to be the one constantly complaining while the other is 'yup, uh-huh, oh that cafe let's eat there' and they're both okay with it. Omega enjoys a listener and it's not as if Nora doesn't talk either-- in fact, Nora's normality (in comparison to Omega's radical thinking) is what is reshaping her personality. She's fourteen. She's going through changes, and she's starting that horrible early teenage road of deciding who the hell you are in this world. She's starting to decide she loves her dad, loves everything he's done for her, but she'd rather start flying from the nest. There's trouble she's committed that she doesn't quite feel guilt for yet, as her conscience is a budding thing.

Omega is annoying. That's her personality. She finds someone interesting, she'll latch onto them. The problem before was she was taught not to find normal people interesting and thus never did so, leading to her exploration of other people with an almost Animal Planet-esque style of study. Befriending a bespectacled botanist because he makes good cakes. Deciding what makes a good impression on people and what doesn't, and what doesn't but's funny anyway, so do it. She is largely out for her own entertainment at the expense of others, but no longer to the degree of mind games she took it to before. She has mellowed to a bit sarcastic, a bit perky, a bit tsundere. It's not that the brutal mentality is entirely gone yet, it just needs to be pushed (if Nora were ever in danger, oh boy) to a certain degree to pop up.

She's a braggart and can't stand being worse than someone at something, which is why she takes to video games with her best friend often-- it's healthy competition in a very non-battleish way. She learned piano out of spite, because other psychics had powers that allowed them to learn it almost instantly-- she grew jealous, and learned on her own. Her ego is the size of a small continent and rarely sated, but if she does manage to impress someone, she'll get a bout of childish pride, like 'yeah, it was great, huh?' She is a kid, after all.

She has an odd soft spot for people she admires-- even normal people. If they accomplished something she honestly considers she can't, if they remind her of Nora's pacifistic influence on her, Omega is more likely to tease with kinder intentions. People interest her, and her budding sense of shame and guilt make it just so that she can still tease the hell out of others, but feel bad when it digs in deep and try to sheepishly make up for it, regardless of if she succeeds. She tends to latch onto older figures as time goes on, especially in a game setting, because it makes her feel slightly more safe about herself with the loss of her dad. She wants to act totally independent and prove a point no one asked for... but she also gets lonely and needs someone to help guide her and tolerate her.

While her name means the end, she's largely at the beginning of her life as an individual. She has a long road ahead of her.

World Information: Figuratively, 'Lady' Omega lives at the top of the world-- an alternate Earth that's parts fantasy and parts modern day.

To explain their world is to compare to Harry Potter if the wizards and regular humans had no barriers for the worse. While understanding and acceptance between the gifted and the non-gifted is encouraged, it's ultimately not practiced. The elite are the overpowered, owning most of the world and controlling it for ultimately the better, but this is somewhat resented by those who don't have any sort of power. The power struggle was won ages ago, and though the elite live comfortably, those with 'gifts' born into normal families and normal lives are often shunned by their peers in a sense of being blamed for the completely unbalanced way everyone has to live. Humans largely outnumber the gifted, and the gifted at the top of the world are severely outnumbered by the gifted born into normal families, who have to deal with taking the blame from regular people for those who live and work at the top.

Therefore, while regular life and peace goes on, even with the tension between two halves of people, no one truly wins except those at the top.

The history is very deliberately linked to modern day Earth-- while certain battles may have been won with different ways, and different influences, and the occasional skirmish in history that may not be present in ours-- much of how everything turned out is the same. The gifted at the top do indeed have a sense of corruption and ignorance to how the normal suffer, but are no more inherently evil than your more deplorable politician. Using powers for influence is considered a massive faux pas in office even if most people who do run may have them. The worst end of the spectrum is Omega's father, and few have darker intentions and the ability to act on them than him.

The Gifted comes in a full-scale variety of spectrums and abilities, scattered out with varying super powers. If two gifted marry, their children are likely to inherit all of the same abilities or at least some of them. Some only have one or two powers. Some have useless powers, some can trump even the people at the top. The Gifted is a random calling with no rhyme or reason other than the ones who get it through generational heritage. Still, that doesn't mean there's a lack of people in ordinary families who are blessed at birth with it.

History:

Picture your father being the leader of a mafiaesque type corporation. Picture that Mafia owning quite a few companies behind the scenes. And also picture that mafia being made up entirely of the gifted. Nice, simple words. This is the humble background Omega comes from. No one really knows where her mother went-- her parents weren't lovers as much as a fling that happened, and a daughter that happened because of that. Her father owned so much, while her mother was flighty and uncaptivated by things like money… and sadly, children. While she cared about her, she left her daughter in the hands of her father and that's about as much as Omega knows of her.

Having great influence (alongside your dad) is a mighty privilege. With great power, comes great responsibility was a lesson never taught to her. People were her dolls. Omega was bred with a hate of people who weren't in her little, precious group that wasn't so little or precious at all. Even with the encouragement of her father, Omega grew up doing nasty things to other people, and not sweet, childlike pranks. Omega has quite a few horrific incidents under her belt for ironic justice and quite a few more for just fun. It was easy to pull off; her mom was Something and her dad was Something Powerful, so she was like a little molotov cocktail born with big bambi eyes. And she never used that for the good of others. Why should she? Her dad was clearly fine with her the way she was.

One summer at the bright age of twelve, her dad couldn't look after her and he didn't trust her in the hands of others being what she was-- daughter of one of the world's most powerful men. A summer camp for the gifted was the place she stayed during that time, thinking up all sorts of schemes along the lines of a horror thriller, and despite filing a request for a private cabin, she did end up rooming with another girl. Nora. Simple name, simple to her at first, Nora seemed to know everyone at camp. With little time for Omega to even argue, much less plot her primary idea. Omega actually confronted her bubbly personality, learning more that Nora didn't actually have as many friends as she thought-- she had people she knew, and people she liked, and people she called friends, but no one who was someone you could play video games with and yell about. Omega was the same way, but from a completely antisocial angle.

Before Omega knew it, summer was over. The camp was still intact. She had a best friend. She didn't really want to kill things or ruin things as much as she previously did. Nora was such a pacifistic influence in her life that was really never present before that suddenly owning everything was no longer that interesting, nor was killing people or doing general ruining. While she always had a harsh streak to her nature that never went away, she was effectively normalized by the fact of a simple friendship that elevated into best friendship. They can't function without the other. Omega would slip back into her familial tendencies and Nora would go back to being friend of everyone, close friend of none. They squabble and bicker like regular friends but in a casual way that never seems to imply true anger.

Omega's story certainly started with a bang, but it's still ongoing. Her devoted interest in finding the secret things of the world to hunt down and explore with her new comrade had only just begun in those following two years.

Abilities: As a psychic tykebomb, Omega holds a lot of powers. She can read minds. She can manipulate things with her mind. Simple things include: Telekinesis, pyrokinesis, floating, clairvoyance and generally messing with other people's heads in the sense that she can make them see things they don't want to see, illusions, and so on. The more you stay in someone's head, the less reality you become sure of. The more 'mental dueling' she does with someone, the more risk Omega runs of both letting her own memories bleed through during the connection, and the less of a grasp she has on reality in doing so. Her mind becomes a mental mess, meshing her memories with others' leading to severe bouts of confusion if she doesn't keep herself in check. She ends up opening her mind when she tries opening another, so the pathway can go both ways if someone tries. And if effected, she's not used to taking her own medicine.

This will include a permission post and absolutely be opt-out for any character who wants no part of it.

Personality: Daenerys has come a long way since her first meeting with Khal Drogo. The trials she endured while at his side - and after his death - have shaped her into a powerful, outspoken, fearless woman. She believes she cannot feel the pain she felt when she lost her first love, Drogo, and their child again. Thus she has overcome the absolute worst - in her mind, at least. Therefore she charges forward without fear and without hesitation only heeding the advice of those around her occasionally (and only if the advice pleases her). She is a true Stormborn now and her sights are set on ruling all seven kingdoms - something her ancestor did long ago.

However while it is true that she can be downright rash at times - or, perhaps, brash is a better word, Daenerys has the intellect and wit to escape tight corners. An example of said talent happened when she released the Unsullied and kept her precious dragon in the process. She knew full well that no one else could control her dragons but her, yet she kept that important piece of information from her enemies. They paid for that mistake with their lives as they were baked in Drogon's fires.

In their own way, her children (i.e. her dragons) give her even more confidence to charge forward and take what she desires as she makes her way to the throne of ultimate power. With her confidence comes sass, wit, charm and a fiery passion that seems to burn to her very core. But there are more than a few occasions where those traits seem to bring her more ill will - and trouble - than good. Yet, thus far, she has evaded the shadowy arms of death.

Even so there is a certain naiveté to Daenerys. She is young (by both book and series standards) and her cockiness blinds her to the dangers around her. Without her retainers like Ser Jorah, she would have succumbed to poison or worse. Yet she doesn't give them enough credit nor does she realize that her loneliness since Khal Drogo's death could be used against her. By choosing one of her trusted handmaidens as a lover (for a short while), she avoided the danger for a short while, yet she truly doesn't have time for love - no matter how much her heart might yearn for it. There is a softer woman behind the shield of steel she has fashioned around herself. If someone were to pierce it, she might be rendered vulnerable. As long as she remains blind to that possibility, Daenerys isn't as strong as she imagines herself to be.

Background: From here to here.

"Daenerys is the only daughter and youngest child of King Aerys II Targaryen and his sister-wife, Queen Rhaella. She was named after the first Daenerys in her family and was most like named by her mother. Daenerys was conceived during the last month of the rebellion that would ultimately end her family's reign over the Seven Kingdoms. Shortly thereafter, her mother was sent with the young prince Viserys to the family ancestral seat of Dragonstone to escape the coming Sack of King's Landing. Daenerys was born while a great storm raged above Dragonstone, sinking what remained of the Targaryen fleet; for this reason she is sometimes known as "Daenerys Stormborn." Her mother died in labor.

By this time, the war was already lost. Robert Baratheon had claimed the throne and Aerys had already been killed along with the rest of the royal family, leaving Daenerys and her older brother Viserys as the only known living Targaryen heirs. Robert's brother, Stannis, built a new fleet for the Baratheon assault on Dragonstone. The garrison at Dragonstone planned to sell the Targaryen children to Robert, but before they could act on this plan, Ser Willem Darry and several other loyal retainers rescued the children and smuggled them into exile, sailing to the Free City of Braavos, where they lived for years in a house with a red door. Ser Willem was old and sickly, but Dany remembers that he always treated her kindly. After his death, the servants drove the young Targaryens from the house. Dany wept as they were forced out.

The Targaryen loyalists who raised the two children considered Viserys the rightful ruler of the Seven Kingdoms despite the family's defeat and exile, as did Viserys himself. He regarded it as his duty to revenge himself on the usurpers who murdered his family and reclaim the birthright that had been stolen from him when he was only a child. In the years that followed Ser Willem's death, Viserys wandered the nine Free Cities with his sister, trying to raise support to retake the Iron Throne, which earned him the mocking title of "The Beggar King."

As a result of this long humiliation, Viserys grew bitter and obsessed with his long-denied birthright. Dany was the only convenient target for his frustration, and over time he even came to blame her for their mother's death. He took pride in his lack of control of his own temper, regarding it as proof that he was a true heir to the Targaryen kings; he regularly warned Dany not to "wake the dragon" by angering him. He often spoke to her of the importance of preserving the purity of their royal bloodline through the ancient Valyrian practice of dynastic incest, so Dany grew up believing she would one day wed her brother. She was bright enough to realize that most of Viserys' plans for retaking the Seven Kingdoms were unrealistic, and as she had no memory of Westeros herself, his dream meant little to her; instead she longed to return to the house with the red door, which in her mind became a symbol for the childhood she had lost. With no family other than the abusive Viserys and no expectation of ever escaping his control, Dany grew into a fearful and docile young woman.

Viserys and Daenerys eventually found the help they sought in the Free City of Pentos, in the form of a rich and powerful magister, Illyrio Mopatis, who invited them to stay in his mansion and offered his help in reclaiming their throne.
